Some Challenge Inspirations

Good Morning Ladies,

Well the wind didn't ease off on Sunday evening, it continued through the day yesterday, bringing with it torrential rain, hail stones and sleet.  There were lots of trees and branches down around the area, the roads were flooded too, I just think they couldn't cope with that amount of water at once.
I believe it is supposed to ease to around 46 mph today with more rain!
Parts of the roof had blown off of Paul's building at work, the insulation was all over the place, which is a real 'no no' on an airfield. (the building is only about 5 years old)!  They decided it was too dangerous to leave the building during the afternoon as sheets of metal were flying off the roof, they ended up having to leave in small groups, being escorted. All a bit of a drama but he got home safe which is all that matters to me.

I had a very productive afternoon in my craft room, making three cards to finish the dies I received from 'Inlovearts', so I will film that Video for YouTube in the morning, I am so relieved that they are done.

Today I am sharing the inspiration that I said I would post on Saturday's Blog (but I forgot, probably as I was still buzzing from our day at Watford).
So here they are....

The first card is an Eclipse card and would work well for this challenge.

The second card is a simple Embossed background with ink dragged across it to highlight the embossing, stamping the sentiment in black really makes it stand out from the background.

The third and fourth card both use a large die cut sentiment, adding the die cut to a contrasting coloured background always makes it the focal point.

I hope that they help any of you that may be struggling with the challenge.

I hope that you all stay safe from these continued high winds and rain.

Sending love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra

  1. Morning Ladies

Sandra-some great inspiration for us, they’re all lovely cards.

Quick visit as I’m off out even earlier than normal as I have to go to the other hospital sit for a meeting this morning.

I’d rather not be driving further as we still have winds of 60-65mph here and I hate it. I’ve spent most of the night awake listening to the winds. I’m just glad that hubby isn’t away this week.

We are still being battered with gale force winds and rain. It's K&N this afternoon so I have to face the outside world.I'm hoping the winds may have dropped.I'll be thankful if they just ease off.

The CAFE is OPEN ready and waiting for you to drop in for a chat and a cuppa.
HUGS are winging their way to you all. Please take care and say safe xxxx

We didn’t have any heating at work yesterday It was freezing and we all expected it to be fixed for today But no! It hadn’t and felt even colder today But not cold enough to send us home! I am so glad PAUL got home safely
I am home alone this evening I need to make a couple of cards whilst it’s daylight and then settle to carry on crocheting a Quokka!

  6. Hi Sanda & ladies
Lovely cards today. As yesterday it’s very windy & cold, although we’ve had no rain yet. It was a surprise to see Paul at home today. I usually leave Sandra’s around 4.00pm as I know that it’s a bind when you can’t get on and do dinner if you have company. It’s makes cooking and clearing up so much later. So I usually miss Paul, I expect we miss each other on the road. I was finishing off the cards I did at the class in Redditch and Sanda was making a Groovi card. I finished the colouring on 2 pieces and just have picot cutting to do on one, put them together and I will have finished them.
    Stay safe out there everyone,
