Your Challenge cards

Before we start, take time to Remember those that gave their lives
so that we could live ours.
We Will Remember Them

Good Sunday Morning Lovely craft friends,

I had an amazing time at the Stampin'Up! Onstage Convention, it was fun, very inspiring and I must have come away with about £120-£130 worth of stamps, two bags, 1 canvas, 1 shopping bag that zips into a pouch an a lovely tool wallet too, all with the lovely SU logo, Danielle also gave a lovely SU shopping bag which is so pretty too.
We don't have to keep all of the new products a secret anymore, we can share everything we received, so of course I will be sharing them with all of you.

Right lets get on with the show.....

Brenda

Brenda went for a clean and simple card that would work for both men and ladies alike. Cream, Navy and Gold is such a lovely combination Brenda, thank you so much for sharing your lovely card with us,

 Janet

Janet has made 3 stunning cards, 2 birthday and 1 Christmas,  the first card that has that beautiful Blue frame and gorgeous delicate blue floral DSP, such a stunning card and it uses Categories:
Blue/White/Decorative Paper.
Janet's second card is an amazing 'Man' card made using that fantastic Clock Face as the focal point, the lock and key is a perfect embellishment.  This card used categories: Red/Green/Emboss/Ribbon
Janet's third and final card is a fabulous Christmas card, featuring those lovely baubles, a pretty die cut scalloped top finished with a bow.  This card uses Categories: Emboss/White/Clean
Three fantastic card Janet, thank you as always for inspiring us all.

Karen

Karen has made a beautiful Stained Glass Christmas card, I love that Blue background too,
"Here’s my cc I’ve gone for White/ red and green/ colour with markers
It’s SW stained glass window die stuck onto a piece of vellum and coloured from behind - so easy It doesn’t matter if you go over the lines slightly I then backed it onto pale blue card which really makes it pop"
I really do like that die Karen, the outer frame is super pretty too, thank you for inspiring us all to have a go at different techniques.

Lynda

Lynda has gone all 'ooh la la' with this card, those bright red die intricate die set to embellish her pretty green floral background paper. Those Poinsettia's are gorgeous too Lynda, thank you so much for another gorgeous card.

Lilian

Oh Lilian I do love this lovely Winter scene that you have created, using torn paper edged with glitter to look like snow covered hills, those darling little houses in the foreground are paper pieced beautifully Lilian, I also love you snowy trees sat in what looks like real snow!
The Categories I see are: Blue/ Decorative Papers/snow
Thank you so much Lilian for another amazing Masterpiece.

Margaret

Margaret has gone for a Christmas card for this week's challenge using lovely 'traditional' Festive colours. Margaret has used Stampin Up! Dashing Along Designer series paper for this particular card, matting and layering with other papers from the set, the centre of the card has a stamped sentiment that is set upon a pretty ribbon border.
I love these colours Margaret, thank you so much for inspiring us all.

Maria

Maria has created two absolutely stunning Christmas cards for this weeks challenge, just look at the amount of detail in that first card. That little wreath is so cute and I absolutely love what you have done with the bottom of the card, adding Iced Snow to all of that foliage was an amazing idea as it really brings it all to life.
The first card uses Categories: Red/Green/ Snow/ Pretty decorative paper
Maria's second card uses the same 'Merry Christmas' die that Brenda used on her card this week, Maria has die cut the elements for this card out of a very pretty Blue Glitter paper, it is so beautiful.
This card used categories:  Ribbon White/Dry Emboss

Thank you so much Maria for taking part in this challenge,

Michele

How pretty is this Christmas card that Michele has made, using a pretty polka dot paper in the background and Sue's 'Eternal Rings ' Striplet die. Michele has embellished her card with a really blue snowflake ribbon and a glitter covered snowflake to finish her card.
Michele's card uses categories: Snow/White/Ribbon

Thanks Michele for another lovely Challenge card.

Phew ladies, I didn't think I was to make it through all of your cards typing a brief description as I kept nodding off, I kept waking up and looking down to at what I had written to see a complete row or t's or m's, as my finger would sit on those keys as I nodded off.
In my defence we were up and awake at before 5am to get up and ready to leave for Onstage as registration started for wheelchair users at 7.45am, we finally got home after the event at about 8.30pm. I will be having a very relaxed day today and probably tomorrow too.

Thank you to all of you that took part in todays blog post, I am so very grateful to all of you.

Sending love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra

  1. Morning Ladies

Great selection of challenge cards today.

Sandra-yesterday sounds like it was fun but a very long day. Looking forward to seeing what goodies you brought home.

Went to visit F in L yesterday afternoon-he was asleep when we arrived so we had a good chat with his wife (she’s not Phils Mum). The Neurology team feel that Keith is capable of doing more and want to aim to get him home!! This was a huge shock to us all, hearing this after all these months. The Social services team are going to visit their house on Thursday & go from there.

I’m hoping to get through the housework this morning so I can have a play in my craft room this afternoon.

  3. Morning Everyone
First I wish to REMEMBER ALL OUR ARMED FORCES THROUGHOUT THE YEARS WHO HAVE SERVED THEIR COUNTRY NOT ONLY IN TIMES OF WAR BUT PEACETIME TOO. PUTTING THEIR FAMILIES/FRIENDS SECOND AND THEIR COUNTRY FIRST SO THAT WE CAN LIVE IN A FREE COUNTRY.

'THEY SHALL GROW NOT OLD AS WE THAT ARE LEFT GROW OLD; AGE WILL NOT WEARY THEM NOR THE YEARS CONDEMN. AT THE GOING DOWN OF THE SUN AND IN THE MORNING WE WILL REMEMBER THEM.'

For the Fallen by Robert Laurence Binyon

We have another wonderful array of CCs today making the CAFE so bright and cheerful but most of all most welcoming.

The lunch menu for today is Roast Pork so place your orders. HUGS are winging their way to you all. Take care xxxx

I shall be glued to the Rememberence Service shortly. Both my grandfather's were killed in the First World War leaving young families and a lot of hardship. Our generation has a lot to be grateful for.

  6. Hello Sandra and ladies,
WE WILL REMEMBER THEM, With Great pride.

What a fantastic selection of CCs everyone a great creation.
I’m sorry Sandra I took the photo of my card in artificial light (reminder to self - take photos in natural light) you are correct in saying it’s navy the other colours are white and silver. I bought the Merry Christmas die at Ally Pally. When I bought Papercraft Magazine last month it had the same die just slightly smaller as a freebies.
Hope everyone is having a good Sunday, hope you are relaxing Sandra after a very long and busy couple of days.
    Love and hugs, Brenda xxx

  7. Hi Sandra and all in the Café today.

    WE WILL REMEMBER THEM

Sandra, I'm glad you had a great time yesterday and am looking forward to seeing all of your friends. I hope you aren't in too much extra pain after the travelling and the event. Sending gentle hugs my lovely xx
A lovely line up of challenge cards today. Once again I didn't get to finish line as a friend turned unexpectedly which was lovely but it meant no crafting got done as we after friend left we had time to get changed then go out for a meal with Chris's brother who lives locally. So a lovely day with lovely people but not good for lovely crafting!
Brenda love your card and hope you are having a great day with family but I do hope you have a quiet few days planned now, you must be shattered. Sending gentle hugs X
Maria, Mamma is really looking forward to seeing your ATCs. I hope your first meeting with your "newest" sister goes well and you both enjoy having a good chatter X
Lilian, I hope you are having a good day x
Lynda, I bet you are exhausted today after a lovely day with family yesterday x
Mum. See you in the morning all being well. Love you xx
Karen, it may sound horrid but I think that once dementia patients go past the point of having any lucid times it gets slightly easier in some ways as the embarrassment is no longer there. I hope you understand what I am trying to say as I'm not good at putting my thoughts into words and would hate to upset anyone. Thinking of you x
After a dry, sunny and pretty warm Remembrance parade with our Scout group I have now got to my desk so lets see if I can get anything finished today 😊
Sending love and hugs to you all with extras for all in need. Take care xx

  10. Hi all.
Hope you all had a nice Remembering Sunday. Beautiful verse Janet. My Mother-in-law passed away today 20 years ago, we have lit a candle for them all.
Sunday and time for our CC's. Not sure how long we done it for now but let it continue. Love seeing our cards and different takes.
Thought I would have time to look in this morning but had to catch the train in to London. It was so much fun to meet up with my 'little' sister and we didn't stop talking for the four and half hours we got together. Her hobby is to make jewelry and she made me a very pretty necklace in blue. We talked about to maybe searching for our other siblings, might not be so easy tho unless our real dad is on their birth papers.
Sandra, hope you managed to have a relaxing day and tomorrow too. Looking forward to see your goodies.
Tonight it will be a movie, take out and feet up Lol
Have a good Sunday evening. Love and hugs to all Xxxx
