Good Friday Morning Ladies,
Welcome to the end of another week, how are you all getting along with your Christmas cards?
We have 31 days to Christmas day, which leaves us about a week or so to finish the last of our cards.
I have no where near finished so it will be a last minute marathon for me.
While I was trying to think of a quick and easy card to batch make I came up with today's card, it features the Flourish Filigree Stamp set. All I have done is stamp that beautiful filigree stamp in the background with Versamark ink, add embossing powder and heat set, then do the same with the sentiment and punch that out with matching punch and pop it in the centre of the filigree stamped image.
I don't think it needs any other embellishments, just let that stunning stamp take all of the attention.
The measurements of the card are:
The Base card is 4 1/8 X 5 1/2 inches
The layers are 1/4 of an inch larger
(Just use your usual mat and layer measurements.) I just wanted to give you an idea of the size
Yesterday was a quiet day, mostly spent recording this tutorial and a video that shares all of the new goodies I was allowed to pre-order from the new Spring & Summer Catalogue, look out for that in the next day or two.
While I am off to make some more Christmas cards, so that I am not that person sending them out the day before Christmas Eve, (it wouldn't be the first time)!!
Have a lovely weekend Ladies, I think that Michele has a Magazine Review for us for Saturday too.
Sending Love and Hugs to all of you
Sandra

Morning Ladies
ReplyDeleteTwo gorgeous cards Sandra, they’re beautiful, definitely don’t need to add much else to the cards.
I’m starting to panic now about how many Christmas cards I’ll need to make-I’m doing a Car Boot Sale tomorrow morning (very early start) and I have a table on the 8th at a church Christmas Fair. I’m off work on Wednesday as we’re having a new front door fitted so I’m hoping the Joiner will just get on with it and I can stay in my craft room!
Michele
Two lovely cards and definitely don’t need embellishments etc
ReplyDeleteI’m in panic mood over Christmas too I have nowhere near enough cards although my list gets shorter every year which is sad And instead of me thinking it W’s just going to be the two of us on Christmas Day and not really bother or go to a restaurant I am going to have a house full So lots of extra shopping etc I don’t drive so makes it more awkward when OH works most Saturdays (my day off) to fit it all in BUT I am so looking forward to it
I hope to craft later I feel like I could craft all day and long into the night and still not catch up Aren’t we lucky that our hobby can be so enjoyable
I really don’t think I would ever get bored of crafting all day every day, wouldn’t it be lovely if we could really do just that x
DeleteMorning everyone,
ReplyDeleteSimple is stunning Sandra, love your two cards so much I may well be searching out some older stamps in my collection to see if they would work as well as yours has.
(After Christmas and ready for next year's offerings. Maybe you could use the idea as one of your challenges?)
Off for breakfast this morning, my favourite waitress is leaving today for pastures new. I spent yesterday afternoon making her a boxed card and will be picking up a bouquet of flowers to say 'Thank You for your wonderful and friendly service you have given me over years'.
Love 7 hugs
Cheryl xxx
I’m sure your waitress will be delighted with your kindness. I hope her replacement is as good as she was x

Hi Sandra and ladies.
ReplyDeleteTwo stunning cards today. I must get a wriggle on with my Christmas cards. Started them but having to do them in fits and starts.
Well Pete will be having another blood transfusion in Witney Monday and Tuesday.
We have a Sobell House physiotherapist coming to see Pete in Thursday. On Friday I will be at the Churchill having the cancer cut off of my hand and shin. It will be anethatised first thank goodness but hope I will be able to drive home afterwards. Hopefully it won’t come back again. Apparently the deeper it goes the harder it is to treat so I do hope that’s the end off it this time.
Thank you for all your good wishes ladies there very much appreciated. Just for a change I’m spending the day in Birmingham with friends. We’re meeting another friend who lives in Runcorn. Karen and the girls will come and keep Pete company during the day.ive cooked him a meal as he hasn’t the energy to do so.
Wow wow wow. I was so apprehensive about just pressing publish as I saw my Oat S Witney was back. But it worked. Yippee, no more proving I’m a robot. Must be an American thing as I had to put crosses in square that had crosswalks in them. Meaning zebra crossings.
ReplyDeleteHello All, wet and cold here, certainly making my joints ache, especially my thumbs.
ReplyDeleteSandra two lovely cards again, you are so wizard at thinking up new designs.
Made my card today, very basic as hands so stiff.
Lynda good news re your eyes, hope they clear quickly.
Have a good night, Lilian
Hello Sandra and ladies, Sorry I haven’t been in for a few days, we have been busy going into London every day to my sisters. Though it’s not far as the crow flies, by public transport it’s an hour to hour 30 mins each way. We wouldn’t dream of taking the car as the congestion charge is 11.50 plus parking of almost £5 an hour. We will drive up on Sunday (no congestion charge Sunday’s) to collect any items that didn’t get put into the van last week, Then store them here until......whenever!!
ReplyDeleteI love today’s card and Danielle’s yesterday you have been so inspiring Sandra with your cards this week.
Tomorrow we are going to our daughters, two of the grandchildren have birthdays this weekend, one tomorrow and one one Sunday they will both be there tomorrow, What a bonus.
Will catch up with your comments when I get chance.
Have a good weekend everyone, Love Brenda xxx
