Simply Beautiful

 Good Morning Ladies,

I hope that you are all well, Janet I am dying to know......did you ask the Gremlins??  Did it work??  If so I have written a list and will try it later!!! 😂

We had a blustery wet day here yesterday, so the craft room was the only place to be, well after the kitchen, we had a bit of a treat breakfast yesterday, Banana Pancakes, simple to make, 1 Banana, 2 eggs and pinch of baking powder per person, the pancakes are lovely and fluffy and feel real naughty, they work out to 217 calories, I had frozen blueberries and raspberries on mine with 2 teaspoons of Golden syrup, all together the calories came to 271, which is really low compared to some cereals, so go on treat yourself.

Today's card is the very simplest design but I have to say I love it, it took me a couple of goes to line up the two layers of the but when I did the results blew me away, the colours I used are Rococo Rose and Merry Merlot, not two colours I would have put together but while playing I discovered it really worked, I also stepped away from my 'Old Olive' and used 'Mossy Meadow' which is a darker, richer green, I stamped one of the sentiments from the Stamp set  to finish the card, I used the darker of the two colours Merry Merlot to stamp the sentiment.  I layered the card onto Mossy Meadow card and then onto a white card base.  I really do love how it turned out.  I hope you do too.

I hope that you all have a lovely day,

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra                                                                                                                                                          xxxxxx

Sandra-you card is simply stunning, very classy & elegant.

Janet-did you find your scissors & did the Gremlins help???

I ordered something from eBay & hit home yesterday to find it dumped by my front door thanks to Hermes. I have no idea how long it had been there. Luckily it’s a very quiet road & the weather was fine. Unlike today-we have torrential rain & it’s quite windy.

I’m covering the Vaccine clinic this afternoon-hope it doesn’t finish too late as I’m going straight to Tesco to do the food shopping.

OH SANDRA what a gorgeous piece of craftiness. It really fits into the theme of 'less is definitely more'.

MICHELE/SANDRA- my Gremlins haven't worked yet!! I looked in all the obvious places with no luck and so the journey continues today.

The CAFE is READY and OPEN for you all to pop in.
Did anyone have 'ash' yesterday? it being Ash Wednesday and the beginning of Lent which also brings me to 'do you give anything up for Lent?'

HUGS on their way to you all.PLEASE TAKE CARE AND STAY SAFE.xxxx

  4. Morning ladies

Beautiful floral cards all week Sandra.

Woke up in the early hours to torrential rain and gale force winds which have now subsided into a very grey cloudy day.

Facebook seems to be down due to maintenance. I can't fathom out why they don't do that during the night in some countries, we all have different day and night times.

In the craft room today making the carriage for the train, once it is all assembled I will find some gold trim to decorate. The embellishments that came with it are made of candy cane paper (not to my taste) which I can use on one for Milly-May and Watson.

    Love 7 hugs

  5. Hi Sandra and all in the Cafe today. A beautiful card Sandra. So elegant and perfect for most occasions. Your banana pancakes sounded lovely. We haven’t had any yet but we do have plenty of bananas so might have to try your recipe xx
Janet I’m sort to hear that the gremlins haven’t found your scissors. Start looking in the silliest place to put a pair of scissors...that usually works for me! Good luck x
Michele, we often have things left “in our porch” . Only problem is we don’t have one. Just a tiny roof over the front door! We have had a couple of orders that haven’t turned up over the years and they were replaced without any trouble but obviously we will never know if they didn’t get to our house or if they were taken. All four of us in our little terraced row take in each other’s parcels which is nice. I’m glad you found your order before it got wet or stolen x
Sending love and hugs to you all with extras for Lynda, Mum and all in need. Take care xx

  6. Hello Everyone, lovely sunny day here.

Sandra love your card, lined up so perfectly.

Started my challenge card, was looking good until I dropped a stamp on it and of course ink side down.

Have a good afternoon all, hugs Lilian

  7. Hi everyone
    Gorgeous card, love it 😊
Janet, I hope by now you’ve found your scissors 🤞I’ve often misplaced crafting items, then found them under a pile of bits and pieces. Was looking for my tweezers once, and there they were - after hunting around for them - right in front of me!
Will try to get a card done for this weeks challenge, but may have to look back through for an old one, sorry. My week hasn’t really gone as planned.
Hope you’re all having a good day. Hugs to you all xxx

  8. Hello Sandra and ladies,

Today’s card is beautiful. I think it would look lovely framed. Now there’s a project!

Sorry I didn’t get in yesterday, loved your bright and beautiful cards. Thank you for your inspiration.

Janet hope you have found your scissors. Those pesky gremlins always put our missing items in the strangest places. But sometimes I have looked and looked for something only to find it right in front of me - I’m sure that’s the gremlins having fun.

Take care everyone, love Brenda xxx
