Good Morning Ladies,
Luckily the fog didn't last long here, in fact by late morning we had bright sunshine, so much so that when we went to collect my prescriptions in the car I need my sunglasses on, those visor's in the car are never long enough are they. There were some ominous looking clouds in the sky later in the day, Paul thinks that they look like snow clouds, it would be lovely to have some snow but I doubt we will see any.
I am back to my calorie counting as I have gained some of the weight that I lost last year, to be honest I hadn't weighed since coming back from holiday and while we don't eat that badly at home I have been snacking a lot more, especially over Christmas, I am always surprised though at how much you can eat for 2000 calories a day, more than we actually eat to be honest, I have been about 600 calories under my 2000 so far this week, that included snacks (which I now weigh out into 100 calorie bags), I was so relieved to find out that my favourite Ice lolly in the whole world...Nuii Coconut & Indian Mango is only 238 calories so easily fits in to my daily allowance, Monday night we had Fish chips and peas, Tuesday night we had pizza and last night I had spaghetti bolognese leftovers over a jacket potato with some salad and extra mozzarella cheese. all of those meals I would have thought too many calories but I was wrong, so so far so good.
Today I am sharing our Sonia's Journal Cover with you, I have to admit that I haven't been brave enough to even consider making a cover so far! Yours is absolutely amazing Sonia, it is the perfect combination of pretty and grunge! A gorgeous Mixed media piece, you must be thrilled with how it turned out. The depth and dimension that you have achieved with your stencil makes it look like you have used a chipboard piece, it's stunning and I just love the colour combination too. Inkyliscious have some amazing sentiment stamps, I could always spend a fortune on their stand at shows, you can spend a good hour just browsing the sentiments, if the young girl is there demonstrating that can easily turn into two hours. Although they haven't been at shows for a while, Deby has been really poorly so I am guessing that could be why.
Sonia's Description:
''I’ve used Speckled Egg, Iced Spruce and Frayed Burlap distress oxides. The stencil is a Memory Box one. The sentiment is from Inkyliscious'
Thank you so much for allowing me to share your Journal Cover today Sonia, I feel very honoured.
After tidying my desk, sorting all of my Aall & Create stamps into folders and Spring Cleaning the 'Tea & coffee' cupboard in the kitchen, which started as my throwing out a couple of boxes that were empty and the girls were too lazy to bin (Recycle) while I was waiting for the kettle to boil, it ended up with me pulling everything out, washing the shelves, drying them, throwing out anything that hadn't been used recently, reorganising one shelf for all Lucy's hot chocolate tins (she has a large selection from 'Whittards' , I put the coffee bits the other side and then on the shelf below our vast array of teas, from Aldi gold Teabags (decent tea), to my new favourite Ceylon tea, through various mint teas, Soph's collection of Immune Boost fruit teas, finishing with my calming night time tea. Who knew there were so many! That was a long winded way of saying that after all that I had no time to craft.
I hope that you all have a lovely day,
Love and hugs to all of you,
Sandra

Hello Sandra and everyone,
ReplyDeleteSorry didn’t come in yesterday but it was a very long and exhausting day. I love your journal page from yesterday the blue and lilac just worked perfectly complementing each other.
Sonia what a beautiful journal cover you’re showing us today and as everyone else has said lovely sentiment, it just works perfectly and shows what a very gifted young lady you are, thank you so much for sharing it with us.xx
I like you have noticed Sandra on Amazon that you can buy shopping from Morrisons, in fact when we’ve been in there I’ve seen the assistants filling the brown shopping bags for customers. It’s a great service, You certainly made good use of it and saving that £10 on the groceries was certainly a bonus.
Karen please other half is back to work as I’m sure he will be too. XX
Maria so pleased you’re relaxing and watching the snowflakes fall, I find something quite calming about watching snowflakes falling! I suppose it’s the gentle floating motion of each flake, and lovely as long as you’re not caught outside in a blizzard. Take care my lovely enjoy the rest of your holiday XX
Hope everyone is having a good day, take care and stay safe.
Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing my journal cover 😊 I am really pleased with how it turned out, after it taking me so long to do - I wasn’t sure about the colours at first, but when I eventually put it all together, I thought it worked quite well 😊
Sandra, I have actually used a cut up ‘mesh’ die cut, which you may think is the stencil - sorry I didn’t add it to my description ☺️
Janet, I’m happy to stamp the sentiment and post to you - just let me know how many you’d like and if in black on white card, or another colour 😊 xx
Karen, I bought the ‘journal’ book from a craft show years ago - it may have been from The MDF Man. I’ll put a picture of it on our messenger chat group 😊 xx
Sorry I’m so late in today. I worked this morning, and then straight after me and the boys had a dentist appointment. Fortunately all good after so long of not going!
It’s so cold out and I’ve even thought we may get snow looking at some of the clouds. I love the snow, as long as I don’t have to drive in it 😌
Have a good evening everyone, stay warm. Sending hugs to you all xxx
Thank you all so much for your lovely comments about my journal cover.
DeleteIt really means a lot 🥰 xx
