Good Morning Ladies,
How are we all today? It felt much milder yesterday thankfully, I was fed up of feeling constantly cold, I think that as those of you that suffer with pain know that the cold/damp weather makes everything ache more. Maybe we should all move to the constant sunshine.!
Today's card I made using my new Sweet Poppy 'Bauble' stencil, I couldn't resist after seeing Lilian's card a couple weeks ago........
I loved this card of Lilian's so much that I went straight onto Sweet Poppy's site and ordered the stencil
I used Stormy Sky with a little Chipped Sapphire around the edges and blended them across the stencil. I also used Mowed Lawn for the fern and Festive Berries for the Berries. Next I stamped the Inkylicious Cottage stamp (which I have had for years), I stamped in Versafine and then used a fine paint brush to add water to faux bleach the blue off of the cottage roof, to whiten the snowy roof a little I used a White Gelly Roll pen and finished with a swish of Glitter pen.
I die cut the Bauble with Phil Martin's Dounle Debossed Rectangle die and matted onto a 'Misty Moonlight ' SU card base.
This is my first attempt at using this stencil, I will add a little more detail next time.
I hope that you all have a great day,
Special Hugs to those of you in pain or struggling,
Love and huge hugs to all,
Sandra

What a lovely card That stencil is lovely and I assume you can use a texture paste through it too?

Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteA beautiful card today, love the stencil. Yours and Lilian’s cards showcase it perfectly 😊
Just back from walking Barney, and it is milder today. I’d wrapped up expecting it to be cold, but I was boiling by the time we got back!
Glad the dentist went ok Karen. I need to phone ours to make an appointment, but watching the news this morning I’m not holding out much hope of getting one soon.
Hope you all have a lovely day. Sending hugs to you all xxx
Hi everyone.
ReplyDeleteWonderful card Sandra and can you believe it, I actually at last found this metal stencil at the Nec so we might see a few of them this Sunday 😊
Glad you seen the end of the dentist for a while Karen.
Good luck Sonia to get an appointment. Here in MK you will have to wait for months to get one, also the same with doctors, only by phone at the moment.
Cheryl, how are you doing. Miss seeing your craft, hope you can make some.
Janet, hope the days in Marigny not going too quickly for you and Jim. Have you managed to get to the markets for any ribbon and lace ? 😃
Brenda, glad you and grandson had a good birthday. What a nice surprise that his brother turned up. Have a good day.
I wish you all a nice day and sending hugs to you and extras for anyone who need some.
Seeing some ladies at Dobbies 2pm for coffee who belong to a Fibro group here in MK. So tired so might not stay long but it be nice to see some of them again.
Take care all, Maria xx
Hello All, dull here again today, wet by the end of the afternoon.

Hello Sandra and ladies,
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Sandra, love the colours, Great inspiration from you and LILIAN, thank you both. xx
I seem to have been on the phone most of the day, at times it felt like I was back at work! But we did get two machine loads of washing done, pegged out and most of it dry, ironing done late afternoon. So not a total waste of time.
Sleep well everyone,
Hugs Brenda xxx
