I hope that you are all well, I was relieved to read that we aren't the only ones that aren't organised as far as Christmas is concerned, at the moment I'm not to worried about it, but I bet as soon as we hit December NEXT week!! I will be starting to worry!
Yesterday flew by, Sophie and I went to have our hair coloured in the morning and we were waiting for the Sky engineer to come to fix our tv service, we haven't been able to watch a few channels for a few weeks, this last weekend it got a lot worse, bet eeh, the make you do so many things before you can get to the 'call an engineer ' stage, we re-booted, reconfigured, re...put all the cables in and out again, then we got the booking! I said to Paul 'you are sure the Dish is ok on the side if the house, he said yes its fine, not obscured by anything!! The chap arrived, I showed him where the dish was and waited for him to come in to look at the Sky Box and Tv, well he came straight back in and said I know the problem, I said oh, is something wrong with the dish?, no he said the dish is fine, its the very tall Budlea bush infront of it thats causing the issue, (I my head I was shouting Paul's name), anyway he said he would give the box a thorough check over which he did, he even gave me a new controller, that you talk in to !! Technology EH!! He was a lovely man, he stayed and had a cup of tea and gave me a really useful tutorial, so I am now the Sky Guru !!🤣😂🤣
Today's card is my favourite colour combination, I made a Poinsettia using vellum with my Heartfelt Creations Poinsettia stamp and die set to create the components for my Poinsettia. I used Old Olive card to make the base card, I then used a Phil Martin die to cut the scalloped edge rectangle for the decorative part at the top of my card. I stamped 'Seasons Greetings ' at the bottom of the card base and heat set with white embossing powder (same as Poinsettia). I then added my Poinsettia, starting with the Old Olive foliage, finishing with the vellum layers, I tried a few different options for the centre of the Poinsettias but most looked too heavy, so I used 4 small pearls.
I hope that you all have a good day, wrap up warm my lovelies,
Love and hugs to all of you,
Sandra xxxxxx
I am so glad you managed to sort out your Sky box I’d be lost without my tele I use it for background noise, a bit of company and a clock Sometimes I even watch a television programme!
ReplyDeleteYour card is very pretty I’m in the middle of making a third card
I have the dentist this afternoon Not much fun just lately Just hope all these visits actually work
Take care everyone xx
Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteLove your beautiful card today, the poinsettia is gorgeous 😊
Glad you got the TV sorted, at least it wasn’t anything too serious and you got a new controller out of it 😉
Karen, good luck at the dentist this afternoon xx
Have a good day everyone whatever you’re doing. Sending hugs to you all xxx
Hello All, dull again ,stormy weather on the way.
ReplyDeleteSandra your card is very lovely, love the vellum poinsettia. I never have much success with using it, might have another try.
Glad you got your telly sorted, we have one of those remotes that you can use your voice, it has difficulties recognising our Cornish accent, think you need to practice.
Going to make soup for lunch when R gets back from the dentist, hope you all have a good day, Lilian
Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteLove your card with this gorgeous poinsettia. Must get myself some Vellum, know I got some somewhere but.
Good luck at the dentist Karen. Hope everything be fine.
Got myself out for a bit this morning and we went to Ikea. A bit surprised tho that they were doing some work in the restaurant so no cooked food but I had a hot chocolate and a bun. Bought home some bits from the food store, love the Lingonsylt to my Meatballs and Kalle's Caviar on my Hard bread 😃
Have 2 more crystal art cards to make and then I have to look to start a CC so I wish you all a nice day and I'm sending warm hugs to you all xxx
Hello Sandra and ladies,
ReplyDeleteI love this card and the vellum poinsettia certainly gives it the wow factor Old Olive is one of my favourite greens, so you have definitely ticked all my boxes 👍
Pleased you got the sky dish sorted out, we take things for granted (while they are working) but when they go wrong it’s a nightmare. It sounds like you had a lovely engineer which is always a bonus.
Karen hope your dental appointment went well, have you completed all of your treatments now?
We went food shopping today also looked at small electrical appliances in Curry’s, John is hoping Black Friday might have some good offers as our iron and Microwave are both on the way out. I was ready for a nap when we got back home.
Ladies I hope you have all had a good day, stay safe and warm.
Hugs Brenda xxx
