Well what a wet and blustery weekend, we didn't end up doing very much as the weather was so rubbish, we spent some quality time together though, we were going to go out to eat but just as I suspected Paul suggested that we just get a take away and watch a movie, if it pleases him it pleases me! So that's what we did.
Today's card is a simple design that I made using the latest Paper Boutique Paper range called Butterfly Bouquet, it's a combination of the prettiest pinks, with some greens and even some blue matching accessories.
I took one of the Topper Sheets (that come in a 5 x 5 stack) I mounted this onto a 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 card base that I covered with a piece of the green paper from the collection, I then took a second topper sheet and fussy cut the butterflies and the largest flowers, I cut into them to give them some shape, inked around the edges and mounted them on top of the matching partners on the card with the aid of some glue and foam pads, its hard to see the dimension but it is definitely there, it just brings the piece to life, to add even more detail I added Wink Of Stella to the butterfly wings, giving it a lovely sparkle.
I hope you like my card my lovelies and I am looking forward to seeing yours.
Now I spoke a little about when Paul and I met on the blog yesterday, we met for the first time ever in Sainsbury's (which I have told you before).
I would love to know how you all met your husbands, partners etc too, (if you don't mind sharing)!?
Lilian it was so lovely to see you pop in yesterday, I hope that you get some more answers this week and that your correct knee brace turns up. Anything to get you back into crafting because I think that crafting makes us all feel better. xxx
Maria I hope you are starting to feel better too my lovely, I missed your cards this week xxx
Have a lovely day ladies, however you are spending it,
Love and hugs to all of you,
Sandra

Morning Everyone
ReplyDeleteLove your card SANDRA- Very pretty colours.
Well what a day yesterday was. We got up to snow which thank goodness melted away by mid morning. We then had rain/hail stones/more rain/gale force winds and to finish the day when we went to bed it was completely white all over again with snow.
I'm hoping for a better day today. The snow has gone but it's very wet and we still have high winds.
It's Mr Tesco morning and then I really want to make a start on my CC.
The CAFE is OPEN waiting for you all to pop in for a chat and a cuppa. HUGS are on their way to you all with loads of extras for Dear Friends in need. Take care and stay safe.xxxx
Morning all I hope you’re feeling better MARIA and I’m glad you managed to pop in LILIAN
ReplyDeleteI met Alan 45 years ago It was in a pub where I’d gone with a friend to meet somebody she worked with (it wasn’t a blind date) He worked behind the bar So I’m feeling a bit gooseberry- ish until their mates turned up and joined us Alan not knowing the situation chatted to me and by the end of the evening we were jokingly engaged (I used to wear my mum’s discarded engagement ring) The rest as they say is history We celebrate our 43rd wedding anniversary next month
Over the weekend the weather was so changeable The new Range was a little disappointing It is huge but not much craft Lots of paper pads and a few x-cut dies A couple of dies and some black cardstock did fall into my basket I love their black card 25 x A3 for £3.99 So it was worth going just for that Hopefully their choice of stock will improve
Take care all Big hugs in basket alongside JANET’s xx

Afternoon Ladies-could’ comment this morning!
ReplyDeleteLovely card Sandra.
I met Phil at an 18th Party at the local Cricket Club although Phil thinks it was a 21st. His colleague from Safeway (showing our age now) was part time and was a Part time Special Constable . I knew someone socially who worked at Safeway and they’d been trying to match make us for some time. That was about 28 years ago-we lived together before we got married & it’s our 25th Wedding Anniversary this September.

Hello Sandra and ladies,
ReplyDeleteLovely card Sandra, these papers are so gorgeous
My family lived in a village in Leicestershire, when I left school I had wanted to join the Wrens, well my parents were not happy with the idea. Dads sister, husband and son had moved south because of my aunts work. She needed an office junior and asked me to apply. Also said I could live with them. My cousin was getting fed up bringing friends home and they asking who I was. I was under threat not to even look at the next mate he brought home, and was cleaning out the ashes in the fireplace, when John came to visit my cousin. The rest is history, we have been married 58 years in June.
Sleep well dear friends, Love Brenda xxx
