Good Morning Ladies,

 Lilian

Lilian's card has a different look to the others in today's line up  mostly because she chose different categories, i think that the majority of us went for Christmas card categories.
I love how you have created the multi layer look, purely with stamping, your card really does look like it has dimension!
Lilian used Categories:

Fall/Birthday/Die cut  (sentiment).

Thank you so much Lilian for taking part despite feeling unwell and celebrating your birthday.  I hope that the antibiotics have done their job and that you are feeling much brighter. XXX

Margaret

Margaret has made a beautiful Birthday card for this week's Tictactoe challenge.
Margaret has used the gorgeous Red Velvet card from Pink Frog Crafts, you have to see it in your hand to appreciate its beauty!
Margaret has also used the Stampin'Up! 'Springtime Impressions' Thinlits to decorate this beautiful Birthday card, the sentiment was punched using the 'Lovely Label Punch'

Thank you so much Margaret for creating such a lovely birthday card for this weeks challenge.  XXX

Right ladies, I think that's all for this weeks challenge entries, I hope that i haven't forgotten anyone! I was writing the blog on my mobile phone in the car on the way home from my Mum's last night. I checked both emails and Messenger!

The journey yesterday was very long and very frustrating as it was persistent, torrential rain both there and back, in fact it didn't stop all day.  People don't seem to adjust their driving according to the conditions, visibility was really poor because of the rain and standing water, lorries creating spray that constantly covered the windscreen but people were  so impatient, driving so closely together,  there were even cars without lights on, making then virtually invisible!  I was glad to get into bed let me tell you!!
My sister had made a lovely Lasagne for our lunch, which was delicious and a lovely Cheesecake, which was a real treat.

I hope you all have a lovely Sunday,

Love and hugs to you all,

Sandra

  1. Morning Ladies

What a fantastic selection of challenge cards today, so many interesting options which means lots of lovely cards.

It’s 09:30 here and already very warm. Yesterday we went to the Mall of the Emirates which is much closer to the Hotel (not that the Taxi driver on the way home knew)! Didn’t buy anything but it was fun walking round. Had a couple of hours sitting outside (me in the shade with Factor 50 on) & Phil went for a swim.
Lazy day today then we’re off to the Dubai Museum tomorrow then we've been invited to a Cocktail Reception tomorrow evening!

  4. Good morning Sandra & ladies
A lovely selection of Challenge cards this morning all so different but mostly using the same category's.
SANDRA what a horrible journey you had yesterday. I agree with the way some drivers going far too fast on the motorway in torrential rain. I hate it when lorries overtake spraying so much water as they pass they think they own the road.
Glad you had a nice time with your mum & sister though.
MICHELE sounds like your having a fabulous time on holiday.
Not much happening today boring stuff have to change the bed sheets & give upstairs a dust & hoover excetra. Then hopefully get in craft room.
Must ring Darren he went to a emergency dentist Friday she pulled a back tooth but it broke off so left him with half a broken tooth & had to go to see his own dentist.
    Hug's for everyone xx
    Love Lynda xx

  5. Hi Sandra and ladies.
Sounds like you had a horrendous journey yesterday. Glad to hear your having a chilled out day.
We’re having just the same today, and Pete is sound asleep.
Spend most of the day yesterday taking Doreen to look at care homes. We were wore out at the end carting a wheelchair in and out of the boot. Good job it wasn’t a really heavy one the hospital lent us. Having a chilled out day before the hospital trips start again tomorrow.

  6. Hi everyone
Crikey my brain is getting a bit like Pete’s. I forgot to mention how fantastic all the challenge cards are today. As per usual each one I’d different.
Sorry to read you’ve been unwell Lilian. I hope your feeling a bit better today.

  8. Evening everyone
It really feels funny saying 'Evening' instead of 'Morning'.
Anyway - than you SANDRA for sorting out my cards etc. It's lovely to know that I'm not the only one who can mix things up and without really trying for me lol.

A lovely set of CCs today and once again all so different.

We too had an horrendous journey down to Dover yesterday with high winds and torrential rain all the way down. Fortunately today's journey was a good one with some sunshine in parts and reasonable temps too. All is well at Marigny as far as we've seen. We'll do a further investigation tomorrow when we're rested and done some food shopping.

PAT -good luck for next week both of you.

HUGS to you all and please take care.xxxx

  9. Sorry my crafty pals that I have not made a contribution to our challenge this week. All your cards are amazing and lots of you to have either been busy or ill and still managed to get a card or two completed. On Monday I went to clinic and found out that my chemotherapy has stopped working; this was quite a blow to the stomach I can tell you. My hubby and I had no idea at all about this and we were quite taken aback. The Oncologist said that I need an emergency CT Scan to see if the cancer has spread to any other organs and then they would decide what treatment was necessary. Till then I was to continue with the present treatment. I still haven't heard about a date for the scan so this obviously is a bit of a worry but went for chemo as normal on Friday and this went without a hitch. I have not been sleeping very well since Monday because I am worrying about the possible spread of this vile disease. I will continue to be strong but some days are harder than others. I did manage to do some crafting this week, I finished off a crochet project, went to a card crafting session on Saturday afternoon and made a couple of cards for a different challenge as well. I hopefully will have a better week this week and my contribution with join your wonderful designs too. Crafty hugs to you all and please remember you are always in my thoughts. xx Lorraine

  10. Hi Sandra and ladies.
Lorraine I’m so sorry to hear that the chemo has stopped working. I hope that your scan comes through very quickly so the hospital can see what’s happening. I agreed that it’s a horrid disease. Thinking of you.
Thanks for the thoughts and hugs ladies for this week.
Lovely card Sandra today. I’ve started a few Christmas cards last week. I’m hoping to go over to Evesham tomorrow afternoon for a class with Maria Moorhouse. We should be home from the hospital so I can go.
Hugs to everyone who needs one today.
Lilian I hope your feeling better today.
