Good Morning Ladies,
Today's card is my Tictactoe Challenge card for this week, I went straight down the middle of the Challenge Grid:
Birthday/Die Cut/Butterfly
I wanted to try a different style of card, I had seen a similar style card to this on Pinterest so thought I might have a go.
I used a 'Rich Razzleberry' Card base measuring 4 /1/8 X 5 1/2 Inches, I then took a piece of the SU
'Very Vanilla' 1/4 inch smaller and then a small piece of SU 'Tearoom' Dsp (because it had Butterfly's on') and attached it to Very Vanilla card, I then Punched through these two pieces with the 'Everyday Label Punch', I then placed the Very Vanilla topper onto my base card and marked where slit needed to be punched and then used same punch on Base card. I then adhered them together making sure that the slots lined up perfectly.
I stamped 'Happy Birthday' on the front of the card in 'Rich Razzleberry' ink, repeated the Very Vanilla card and 'Tearoom' paper on the inside of the card. I stamped the inside sentiment in the same 'Rich Razzleberry' ink.
Next up I die cut 2 Butterflies from the 'Springtime Impressions Thinlits', One in 'Rich Razzleberry' and one in 'Very Vanilla', I attached them together by the body of the butterfly, offsetting them a fraction so that both layers were visible. I covered the wings in 'Wink Of Stella' glitter pen, because Butterflies need to sparkle!!!
To finish my card I stamped and die cut three little flowers from the 'Time For Tea' stamp set and matching 'Spot of Tea' thinlits. I coloured two of them with Rich Razzleberry Blend pens and one with 'Highland Heather' and arranged them in the top corner of the card with a little flourish from another set.
To finish the card I added some Clear Rhinestones down the back of the butterfly and I coloured some with the same Blends as I used on the little flowers to pop in to the centre of those flowers.
What do you think??
As I write this post I am not sure if Sue is coming to visit today, I hope so, because my 'Rubbing Alcohol' arrived yesterday I want to play!! Its more fun when there is two of you!!!
Michele should be in Dubai by now, I hope you have an amazing time, there are so stunning sights to be seen, I hope you take lots of photos. xxxx
I hope that you all have a lovely day,
Love and hugs to all,
Sandra

Morning Everyone
ReplyDeleteLovely card SANDRA and an interesting one.
To add to our busy week we have managed to organise a trip to Marigny for the next three weeks. This will be our last visit for this year so it will be closing up for the winter So you can imagine what the house is like. I booked the ferry and hotel last evening and now I just have to sort out some crafting/packing/CCs etc etc etc.
The CAFE is OPEN waiting for you all to pop in. HUGS are winging their way to you all. Have a good day everyone xxxx
What a gorgeous card I especially like the idea that the background doesn’t cover the whole of the card and leaves that panel to put the sentiment on
ReplyDeleteIf you pop in MICHELE I hope you’re having fun
Ooh! SANDRA I hope you enjoy playing with your rubbing alcohol! Remember you need to use glossy card/paper I used cheap photo paper

ReplyDeleteSANDRA your card is amazing love the colour's & backing paper. Your Very clever
Doing mechanical bit must read it again as hasn't sunk in yet not much dose these days lol.
I did a big pile of ironing again God nose where it all comes from. Then hovered
& we pulled the oven out I was shocked with the mess behind but it was mainly dried spaghetti how all that got behind I don't know. Not so bad for nearly 9 years I suppose. We have just got back from the dentist Terry had a appointment luckily he didn't need anything done just had to pay £22 for cleaning then ok for 9 months.

Hello Sandra and ladies,
ReplyDeleteI’ve been having internet problems today, my first attempt to leave a comment was under Karen’s this morning. First try No comment box, so came off the blog and then back in again - box was there, so I left my comment and pressed publish - iPad said publishing, half an hour later it’s st saying the same. Came off again then lost internet connection. Not a good day and tomorrow we are getting a new modem which will be connected on Thursday. Fingers crossed 🤞 it all goes well.
Sandra your card today is lovely, I had to read it a couple of times, but got it in the end - very clever! Thank you for your brilliant inspiration. xx
I hope everyone has had a good day. Sleep well, hugs Brenda xxx
Hi Sandra and all in the Café today. I love the card and will definitely be having a go at one. I'm so fed up that I didn't get to you today. Woke up with hands like boxing gloves and feet, knees etc weren't much better! Chris is always extra kind when I can't get to yours, even though he does laugh as he says I have a really sulky face and voice when I finally give in and admit I can't come over 😔 I hope you had a good time with the rubbing alcohol anyway my lovely. I will have a play next week xx
ReplyDeleteMum,vi hope you managed to eat your Chinese meal without more phone calls or visitors, even though it is always lovely to hear and see from friends and family isn't it. Love you xxxx
I hope you all had a good day. I'm back off to bed, did finally manage to get downstairs for a while.
Wishing you all a good night's sleep and hope we all wake up feeling better. Love and hugs to you all with extras for all in need. Take care xx
