Your Challenge Cards

Good Morning Ladies,

I would like to wish you all a very Happy Easter Sunday, I hope that you have a lovely day, with maybe a little bit of chocolate thrown in, I think I would actually prefer craft goodies!!
We have some lovely cards to look at today, so I won't keep you waiting any longer......

Lynda

Lynda made two beautiful cards for this week's challenge, the first has a stunning rose, in the most delicate shade of yellow, Lynda created the background in the same pretty colour too, embellished with a pretty yellow ribbon.
Lynda's second card features two fantastic butterflies that Lynda has coloured in shades of blue.
The categories used are:
Yellow/Embossing/Ribbon
Blue/Embossing/Ribbon.
Two amazing cards, thank you Lynda.

Margaret

Margaret's first Challenge card is so pretty, very spring like too.
Using Stampin'Up! "Wild about Flowers stamp set", the background features a piece of Anne Marie polka dot card.
Margaret's second card also uses the 'Wild about Flowers ' stamp set, this time using the flower heads to create a pretty background pattern. Anne Marie card features in this card too as a background.  Margarets categories are.....
Yellow/Polka Dots/Flowers
Blue/Flowers /Polka Dots
Such  pretty spring cards Margaret, thank you so much for taking part.

Michele

Two pretty floral cards from Michele this week, the first uses the Altenew Die that was free with a magazine a couple of weeks back, I love the yellow against that grey patterned background. Michele's second card features a beautiful topper, an absolutely stunning vase of flowers, I love it, Michele has picked the yellow as an accent colour and matted the topper onto a yellow embossed piece for card and then onto that black patterned background paper. Michele's cards used categories........          Yellow/Flowers/Die cut                                                                           yellow/Flowers/Ribbon                                                                           Two fantastic cards Michele, thank you so much.

Karen

Karen has gone for a 'Clean and Simple' look for this weeks challenge card, I really love it, Karen's pretty polka dot flower (cut from Scan & cut)? Is finished with a pretty pink button, simple placed in one corner onto a white panel with a matching pink mat, all that is needed is a sentiment.  Karen's card uses categories: Flowers/ Any Shade of pink/polka dots.
A truly stunning card Karen, thank you so much for taking part.

Brenda

Brenda has also used the free die from Chloe's Magazine, I have to say, the more I see it the more I like it!
The first card is made using 'Berry Burst' card and 'Colour Theory' DSP, both Stampin'Up!, Brenda has embossed the Berry Burst card with Sue Wilson PinPoint Embossing Folder.
The second card is made using 'So Saffron' card that has been embossed with a dotty embossing folder. The Chloe butterfly die and Sue Wilson sentiment.
Brenda's cards use categories...                                                                                                Shades of Pink/Dry Embossing/ die cut
Shades of Yellow/Dry Embossing/die cut
Two absolutely stunning cards Brenda, thank you so much for taking part.

 Maria

Maria has also made two cards for this week's Challenge, the first card has a pretty floral panel that I believe was made using the 'Resist Technique', the card is finished with a pretty ribbon bow.
Maria's second card is amazing, using a fairy silhouette stamp as the focal point,I really love that stamp Maria. I love how you have added that inked stripe across the centre to draw your eye to that pretty fairy.
The categories Maria has used are.....                                                                                     Shades of Yellow/Heat/Dry Embossing/ Ribbon
Shades of pink/Flower/Embossing

Two beautiful cards Maria thank you so much for taking part.

Janet

Janet can't take part this week as her computer is playing up but I managed to find this card in my 'Janet' archives!  Such a beautiful card and it works perfectly for this week's challenge.  It uses the categories                                                                                 Yellow/flowers/die cuts.
Thank you Janet for such a beautiful card.

 Lilian

Lilian hasn't been up to taking part in the challenge for a couple of weeks, I have this card from an old challenge that works just as well for this challenge, it is such a beautiful card it's worth another look.                                                                                   categories for this card...                                                                                                            Shades of Blue/Flowers/Die cut

Thank you Lilian for such a stunning card.

As I was looking through older cards for Janet & Lilian's cards I saw lots of our cards that were made with sone of Sue's original dies. I also had a request from Cheryl about using old dies, So I was thinking that a challenge featuring some of our older dies might be fun, What do you think???

A truly beautiful display of cards again this week ladies, thank you to all of you that took part this week.

Have a lovely day ladies,

Love and hugs to all,

Sandra

  2. Morning Ladies

A very Happy Easter 🐣 to everyone.

What an absolutely fantastic selection of challenge cards. I loved this Tic Tac Toe challenge & was quite surprised that both my cards used yellow as it’s not a colour I’d normally choose!

Had a lovely day yesterday although we left the relatives in Liverpool and came home fairly early as Phils back pain was making it difficult for him to walk round and it was bitterly cold.
We had a takeaway for dinner & watched James Bond on TV in the evening.

Hope to do some crafting today so fingers crossed.

  3. Hi me again,

I've just caught up with yesterday's comments.

Glad to hear John is improving Brenda, big hugs to both of you (make John's a nice soft squishy one).

Lilian, hope you are getting better?

Mrs B........ the site is called Craft Declutter on Facebook. I have been on it for a couple of years now and picked up the most wonderful bargains. Some of the items are used (stamps, dies, EF's etc.) but occasionally if someone is having a clear out you might find a brand new unopened unused product. You have to be a bit savvy and take a photo of the item on the home page so if any problems then you have proof of description to comeback to the sellers. It works in the way of an auction, if you see something you like type 'yes please or please'. That statement secures you to be first in line for the item. Where sellers have typed 'BUMP' that means it was not sold previously and has now gone back to the top of the list.
If you like the page and click follow, you get a notification of new items on the board. However you can click yes please whilst on Facebook in the comments but then you go over and check your comment has appeared on the board. Then just wait for the seller to contact you by pm. Some sellers add on postage and packing but they must make this clear at the beginning so you know where you stand.
There is a page of rules to protect everybody, it is worth reading them first then decide if you want to join. Most payments are made via PayPal but sellers are not allowed to contact you if they have similar stuff to what you have already bought from them. It all has to be bought from the board.

    Love 7 hugs

My Phil Martin stamps were snapped up by me as I was on there just browsing really early one morning. The seller had forgotten she had pre-ordered the stamps then put in another order and ended up with two sets delivered, so offered to sell them at the price she was charged and postage free.

Sounds a good site but a bit complex acted to me. Although it’s probably not. Might just go and take a look if I’m able.

Fantastic cards ladies, each and every one. BRENDA I see we have used the same stamp/die. I just love it. Its my favourite thing to use at the moment.
Sandra. Using older dies for a challenge sounds a great idea. Like everyone else I have a bucket load of them that are never used but hate to part with them.
MARGARET the roast beef sounds lovely but Lynn is busy beavering in the kitchen cooking a turkey dinner so it would be really greedy to have 2 dinners today and I have to save some room for a morsel of chocolate later.x

I hope you enjoyed your turkey 🦃 Roast today. A great card you’ve made. These butterflies seem to be a favourite as Brenda’s used them as well. But they do make lovely cards.
Hope your not going to be to busy over the next week or so making cards for the shop.
We’re having a lovely break this easter. Mind you I didn’t know it was easter when I booked it.

  8. Hi everyone and happy Easter to you all.
Wonderful cards in the cafe' today. Love open up on the Sunday morning to see what we made of the week challenge. Like the idea of using some old SW dies or any old die that haven't been used for a long time really.
Doing some prep for our decorator coming Thursday. Lucky to have a tall son who can help take down the curtains etc. Having Easter lunch later on and spend some time together. I wish you have a nice day whatever you are doing. Many hugs to you all and extras for our Lilian and for anyone who need some

  10. Hi Sandra and ladies.
What a lovely selection of cards today. Especially love the butterflies flying out of the cards.
Well, I knew it was going to be a nice day today as my SIL emailed us both from Bournemouth to tell us we were going to have a nice day. Well I could have and had looked out of our patio doors to know that.
We had a Cadbury’s mini egg left on our side plates this morning. I said to the couple next door to us that these were my favourites ( which they are ). When I came back they’d put one of they’re on my plate, as his wife only likes the caramel ones. How nice was that. Plus when we came back to our room this afternoon, we each had a Rolo Easter Egg left in our room.
We went to Lyme Regis today it was lovely to walk along the seafront.
Hope you all had a lovely day today.
Lilian sending you gentle easter hugs.
