Your Challenge Cards

Good Morning Ladies,

How many of you have had snow already?  We had snow flurries all day yesterday mixed with some really strong winds.
It didn't stick though, I'm not sure if we'll get anymore today, it's forecast I think, we'll see I guess.

Enough about the weather let's get on with the show.......

Val

Val doesn't usually make stamped cards but she really liked the stamp she got free with a magazine a few weeks ago so wanted to use it to make this amazing man/teen card. It's such a useful stamp Val, I love the border too.                                                    Thank you so much for taking part in this week's challenge.

 Danielle

Danielle has made a stunning challenge card she has used background papers from the Sweet Soiree Stampin'Up Suite, the top part of the background was made using the Remarkable You stamp set, Danielle has covered this with a piece of vellum and then die cut a a flower from the 'Sunshine Wishes Thinlits' set which is also from Stampin'Up!                                                         An absolutely amazing challenge card thank you so much Danielle for taking part.

 Janet

Janet has designed another stunning challenge card, she has used Edge dies to give detail to the background peace and an intricate die cut that gives a pretty lacy effect to bottom of the card, too pretty flowers embellish the card the card beautifully.  I love your Design Janet thank you so much for taking part.

 Margaret

Margaret has used the 'Lovely as a Tree' stamp set from Stampin'Up to create her challenge card this week, along with some wood effect background paper what a fantastic combination Margaret thank you so much for taking part in this week's challenge.

 Karen

Karen has made to beautiful challenge cards this week, as always Karen has written a description so I will paste that below...

"Two challenge cards for you
The pink is papers from my stash (one might be Serif Had it so long I can’t remember) with the free Altenew dies from Simply Cards & Papercraft and the yellow one is a stamped & embossed background The Gerbera Daisy dies from JL and Spellbinder Small Leaf"                                                                                      Thank so much Karen for two beautiful Challenge Cards.

 Michele

Two fantastic challenge cards from Michelle too, the first one has a lovely seaside theme I love that embossing folder search clear crisp detail. The Seahorse and sea shells make perfect embellishments.
Michelle second card was made by recycling the cupcakes from an old card  you wouldn't guess that when you looked at it.
Thank you so much Michelle for two fantastic Challenge Cards.

Lynda

Lynda's challenge card was made with an All-Occasion embossing folder which she has coloured with Distress Oxide inks.  That border is beautiful Lynda I don't think I've got that in my set, these embossing folders are so brilliant for making a quick card.
Thank you for taking part game this week Lynda I know you've had a trying day yesterday.

  1. Morning ladies,

Another gorgeous selection of challenge cards today.
After yesterday morning's slight flurry of snow, rain set in and the temperature dropped. Last night was first time I turned on the gas fire for over a week. Woke up this morning to about 1 1/2 inch of snow so bets now on for how long it will take the council to shut the schools, issue another extreme weather warning and for the panic buyers to hit the shops.

Crafty day today, I have 3 birthday cards and one anniversary card to make for week after next. Then turn over the calendar page for another 7 cards.
Out of curiosity, which is your most card laden month? mine seems to be September with October a close runner up. It must have been a cold winter one year hehe

    Stay safe and warm

    Love 7 hugs

    1. Hi Cheryl
We had about the same amount of snow last night as well. Ours froze solid. Pete used his soft brush to clear the cars 🚘 off snow.when we went to Yarnton for lunch today, a young lad in shorts would you believe, only had a bit of his front window on the car showing. Pete told him it was against the law not to clear all your windows and the roof off your card of snow. He got a miuthful of abuse and a two finger salute for his trouble. The young lad probably thought we rarely see a policeman so what the heck.
My most birthday 🎂 month is September where I have 8 birthdays.most of the others I have at least 4. Crikey am I going to be busy.

  2. Morning Ladies

Another great selection of challenge cards today.

We had snow on & off all day yesterday but it’s snowed quite a bit overnight and it’s trying to snow again. Fingers crossed it all disappears before tomorrow.

  3. Morning Everyone
Well it started to snow in ernest yesterday afternoon and hasn't stopped yet so we are definitely snow bound this morning. We cannot see that we have any steps down to the front of the house or down the back garden. The road (which is a bus route) is just one big thick blanket of snow and I cannot see it disappearing over the day.

We have everything crossed that the road is clear for tomorrow as Jim has still two days hospital run to do and we are planning to go to Marigny on Thursday for two weeks.

We have a stunning board of Challenge Cards this week which really give the CAFE a buzz.
The CAFE is OPEN and at the moment lunches will be served. The menu is Roast Lamb.
Please take care when going out today and wrap up warm. HUGS are on their way to you all. xxxx

  4. I love Sundays now because it means looking at everyone’s beautiful work I used to dread Sundays when I was younger because it meant the weekend was over and it was school the next day
We have snow It’s meant as OH was at work until 10.30pm and for some reason the main road home was closed so he’s stayed overnight with a friend there He didn’t want to risk the country lanes
Have got to go to MIL later to make sure she’s OK
My nice new sparkly oven has an error message and won’t work I told OH it’s to Izzy whizzy An engineer is coming Tuesday Not impressed!
Take care all in this horrible cold weather xx

    1. Hi Karen
I hope OH manages to get home today, not a good start to your week if your cooker isn’t working. Hope the engineer comes on Tuesday to fix it.

Such a fantastic line up of cards again today. Each one lovely.
Not a lot doing today. I was going to wander over to the Sunday market but its so cold and windy here that I'm staying in. Can't believe that in the middle of March you've all got snow again. Take care if you have to go out.

Don’t Blame you staying in if it’s cold. Apparently our clocks go forward next week and we still have snow. Truly mind boggling.

  10. Hi Sandra and ladies
What a fabulous collection of cards today. Once again everyone is different.
Well it snowed with a vengeance here last night. For some unknown reason my SIL told us it was -2 and snowing in Witney. She goes this every so often telling us what our weather is like in Witney. Not to sure what she thinks we see when we look out of our windows. It’s so annoying. At least it’s not confined to us. She tells my SIL in Australia 🇦🇺 what her weather is like as well.
Janet I hope your weather improves so Jim can do his hospital runs and you get to Marigyn later in the week.

  11. Hi Sandra and ladies
hope you all have a nice Sunday and if you went out that you were dressed accordingly if you got the same nasty weather as us you just had to.
Love every single one of your cards ! So many wonderful, happy coloured ones.
I have not made a card for a week ( have not felt right) but like Cheryl I have quite a few in April so must try to get a wiggle on, my busiest month I think is September otherwise so to have a stock from the cc helps a lot so looking forward what coming up tomorrow.
Sending many hugs to you all and extras for anyone who need one. Maria xxox
