My Challenge Card

Good Morning Ladies,

I just couldn't resist using these adorable Hedgehogs for my challenge card this week.
I stamped them in 'Soft Suede' ink (SU) and added a little 'Early Espresso' with an Aquapainter (water rush) to their tummy.  I coloured the flower with my Blender Pen and a little 'Real Red' ink.  I then took a piece of 'Crumb Cake' card and stamped the flower from the 'Hedgehugs'  stamp set, randomly over the bottom section using Soft Suede ink.
I took the Ticket Tear Border Punch' and cut to border strips, I added one to the top and one to the bottom of my Whisper White card, I then coloured some narrow white twine with Crumb Cake ink (by touching ink pad on glass mat, adding a few squirts of water and then squishing twine into ink, I dabbed excess onto kitchen towel and the dried with my heat tool) and wound this around the bottom of my white card.
I added foam tape to the back of this section and stuck the crumb cake card onto a card blank made from Soft Suede card.
I stamped my sentiment onto Whisper White card and added the flower which I coloured direct onto stamp with Blender Pen using Old Olive and Real Red ink. I then matted this onto a scalloped circle of Soft Suede card.
I hope you like it. Xx

I have shared a photo of the adorable stamp set above, if you would like a set please let me know.

I am hoping to see Sue today and I'm glad to say that we can actually do some crafting this week !!!

I hope that you all have a lovely day, however you are spending it, I wish you could all come round and craft with me!!

Sandra-your Card is absolutely fantastic, I just love those stamps!!!!!

We have another wet morning but at least it’s onky drizzling unlike yesterday when it never stopped raining heavily all day.

We’re hoping to go out this morning, we had thought of going into Liverpool but I think we’ll just head into Southport. We’re looking for cheap Easter eggs and maybe something for an Easter egg hunt .

SANDRA- just love your cute little Hedgehogs.

MICHELE- hope you find your Easter supplies and have a good day.

Busy day for me today. I have to cook main meal at lunch time and it's also my K&N afternoon so by this evening I'll really be needing some feet up time.

The CAFE is OPEN usual hours and I've replenished the biscuit box and fruit bowl for those who cannot eat or shouldn't eat sweet biscuits lol.
HUGS are winging their way to you all. Have a good day. xxxx

  5. Morning Ladies,

Cute card Sandra, hedgehogs one of my favourite garden visitors.
Lovely walk yesterday along Steart Marshes with plenty of hides to pop into to see what birds are about. A small group came into one of them whilst we were there and the leader proceeded to tell them quite a lot of information that Rosie and I had not heard or read about before. So we had a short history lesson too which was a brilliant bonus. They must have been on a field trip as we didn't see them again for the rest of our walk around. Apart from the rain as I drove to the Marshes it didn't last and when the sun came out it became quite warmish.
Today it is brilliant sunshine with enough of a gentle breeze to blow dry, so two lots of washing are already on the line with a further two to go out later on.

Tidying up my bedroom and sorting through boxes on top shelf of the wardrobe is planned for the rest of the day. I must stop hoarding 'things' and put either in a charity box or recycle somehow. Well that is the plan, I'll see how it goes lol.

    Love 7 hugs

  6. Hi Sandra and ladies
Fantastic card and I love your little hedgehogs 🦔. Haven’t really seen any this winter which is unusual. Hospital today with Pete and also on Friday.
Been to school this morning helping with the specials again today. Had two on my own today, writing their letters and sounding out and writing words. The teacher had the rest, but had to push the door 🚪 too as the teacher was writing the words on a board. So one of the children 👶 I had was cheating and looking at the board. I then did some reading with some children and helped one with their number recognition. All in all a productive day.

Sorry to see Sue that your in so much pain. Yes it seem to get worse the old bones when it is wet. Sending you get better soon hugs.
Lynda- hope your feet are not so sore today, perhaps you manage to take the 2/3 rascals for a walk hihihi
Karen- big hugs for Oscar when you see him next, alright I send you some too Lol
Pam- thinking of you both today. Dad is having his op today and I believe he will stay in for a few days. Mum is going crazy with worry but I said that hopefully it will be ok. Sound like you had a nice day reading with the little ones today. hugs for you both.
Weekly shop done this morning but started with breakfast in M & S first. Ours isn't very nice place to sit in, looks like a canteen but the coffee is good. Feeling tired, eyes keep shutting so going to have 40 winks. See you later on. Love to all, Maria xxx

  8. Hello Sandra and ladies,
What a gorgeous card Sandra. I love hedgehogs, we used to have one that came to the patio door and would eat from a cat bowl we used to leave outside for him the only thing was he would end up sitting in the food, he was so funny to watch.
Sorry Sue can’t make it today. I’m sure now you have your craft room organised you will have ended up in there enjoying ‘your’ space. xx
MARIA hope your Dad gets on ok. And Mum will be reassured he is going to be fine. xx
MICHELE Wishing Phil all the best when he sees the consultant.
PAT Hope Pete has no delays at the hospital. Do they give you a free parking permit? When John was having his radiotherapy he could have a pass for the six weeks the treatment would take, except it was only an hour for each appointment. The treatment didn’t take an hour but you were often waiting for 3/4 of that time anyway. Then after the hour you would have to pay a penalty. It was easier to park away from the hospital or take public transport!

Hope everyone is feeling well. Take care, Hugs Brenda xxx

    1. Hi Brenda
Yes, Pete gets a parking ticket. The one he has now runs out on the 23rd March, as they weren’t to sure if he would be able to tolerate the Radium. We can only park in a car park with a barrier. No time limit on it and we also use it when we go up to Dermatology for the cancer on his back, eye etc. So we were given a form today to take to security. This one has no dates on it at all. But as security is only open certain hours we couldn’t get it today.
