Your Challenge Cards

Good Morning Ladies,

This weeks Challenge was to design and make a DL card, above are the two cards that I made, now more importantly here are the amazing cards that you made:

Janet created 4 absolutely stunning DL cards this week, I love the first one Janet,
So pretty, the spray of flowers you have made works so well.
The lady on your second and fourth cards are so elegant, great standby cards for
Many different occasions I think.
The third card is one of your Vintage stamped images I believe, perfectly fussy cut,
I love how you are stamping more and more Janet, like me a few months back you wouldn't have thought about making a stamped card, I love it now!
Thank you so much for your amazing cards Janet

Margaret, 3 fabulous cards from you too this week, the first card you have made features your own stamped background paper, which is beautiful.
Your other two cards are fabulous too, perfect use of Die cuts, I think that the Striplet
dies are perfect for DL cards.
Thank you Margaret

Brenda, two gorgeous cards from you, wow, I love the delicate little blossoms
On your first card, are they die cut?
Your second card is so lovely, that fern paper is so lovely, I love ferns on anything!
the Embossing folder you have used works perfectly with it too.
Thank you so much Brenda

Maria, wow 3 cards from you this week, green is my favourite colour so I love your
First card, such pretty papers, the silouhette butterfly works so well with the delicate
Please, your second card has that lovely Art Deco feel, the feather is just the perfect embellishment for this card.  Your third card is amazing, I love how you have blended the colours together in the background, it really softens the look, the 'Happy Birthday' die cut is all that is needed, thank you for inspiring me.
Thank you so much for taking part Maria

Karen, was busy preparing for holiday so I included this card on her behalf,
Karen stamped the main focal piece of the card, the little squares top and bottom are the centres of one of the New York Dies I believe,
Lovely card Karen.
Thank you, enjoy the sunshine

Lilian, this card is so pretty, its just perfect, I love the colours you have used, the flowers are just so pretty and I love the oval lattice aperture.

Striplet die and the centre of another Striplet, such a fantastic layout,

Your second card is such a soft blue colour, your stamped image is lovely,
I think it's one of my favourite stamps from Inkyliscious!
Two Amazing cards,
Thank you so much

  2. Morning Everyone
Well what can I say other than WOW WOW WOW.
This Week's CCs are so beautiful.
SANDRA I think PAUL had better start drawing up plans for an extension to the CAFE if we carry on expanding our CCs.lol

It never fails to amaze me how many different themes/colours and mediums we use each week and not one similar card between all of them.

We had a very dull grey day yesterday and we have had rain in the night so it's wet/grey/chilly and windy at the moment.
I'm off to see what The Range has in stock this morning as I need some new blades and a few other bits and pieces. What will fall into my basket other than those I really don't know hehehe.

Everything is ready in the CAFE so it just needs you all to pop in for a chat. Hugs on their way for you all. xxxx

  3. Morning Ladies

Sandra-what a great collection of challenge cards. I think you were onto a winner with this challenge.

Late start here-had a rare lie in. We have glorious sunshine here but it's a bit breezy. No gardening today-I have an ironing mountain to clear then my crazy (cluttered house) friend is calling after lunch to drop off my birthday present(s). I hope to head up to my craft room after that to start on some cards that need making.

Can't wait to hear what you have decided on for tomorrow's challenge.

  4. Morning from a beautiful hot sunny day from Cyprus! Your cards are gorgeous ladies and have given me some great ideas Thank you for showing one of mine SANDRA When I looked back I've made quite a few DL cards but they were all old The one on show I made especially for the challenge I'm having withdrawal symptoms already at not being able to "play"! At least I have my crochet and colouring book to do whilst OH cooks in the sun!
Had loads of notes of what to say but they've gone adrift somewhere!
I'm really looking forward to what you're setting for next week I'll be crafting in my head even though I can't take part
    Take care everyone xx

  5. Morning Ladies,

Sundays never fail to bring a WOW! to my lips. All the challenge are 'exceedingly good', to quote Mr. Kipling.

Brian and I had a lovely few days together ( I drove all the way to Innswood on my own! And home again! who could have thought I would dare to venture that distance? A trip of 73 miles each way), a visit to Bridgwater to see daughter Giorgina, a Sweet sixteen party, evenings out, a trip to Dunster Castle and a chance to pop in to 'see' Pete & Jan in their respective Gardens of Rest.
Although he took ill on Sunday night, due to suffering from Barret's Oesophagus, he was well enough to partake of a gentle stroll along EDF's new bypass around the top end of our village. The sun has shone brightly all week with the promised Friday rain actually arriving on the Thursday. Thunder came rumbling, growling and crackling for a good half hour before the deluge of larger than average raindrops. A Godsend for my dry flower beds.
We have rain most nights now, Jamie came home absolutely sodden to the bone this morning, followed by hot sunny weather for the rest of the days. Typical spring weather for our part of the country.

    Love 7 hugs
    Cheryl xxx

  10. Hello Sandra and everyone,

Another fantastic Sunday wih such an amazing display beautiful DL cards. I really look forward to Sundays, see everyone's take on Sandra's challenge.

My first called the green one, was something of an afterthought . Looking through my stash I found the green DL card. I had backing paper that was just right. The little flowers are cut from a Die I got from Pink Frog. I covered the stamen and the sentiment with Pear Pizzazz ink pad from StampinUp.
My second card I embossed the section by the fold then masked that area off, then randomly stamped different Fern leaves. These dies are from Inkylicious, I used StampinUp Crumb Cakeink ink pad to stamp and colour the sentiment. Then I used an Inkylicious brush, again using Crumb Cake tover the ferns and bring it all together. I have to say this one is my favourite.
Hope everyone is having a good day.
    Love and Hugs, Brenda xxx

  11. Hi Sandra and everyone.
Wow,wow, wow I LOVE all of the DL cards ! Have to go back later and have another look. It's little bit like looking into a room full of wonderfulness and it makes you happy.
I hope you have had a sunny day where you are and you will have a nice evening and sleep good hopefully after some time in the garden, crafting or cleaning which I have done today. Son drove me to ww this morning and it was no good so all I could think about was to have Cake! but son gave me a real pep talk so I changed my mind hihi
The Craft space in the kitchen was a real mess and needed some serious tiding up. Yes I made the background behind the happy birthday. I was playing with some coloured memento on Saturday evening and got this colour and some others and this was one I didn't like so much so I'm glad you do. The first one is one I followed the sketch you gave us Sandra. Looking forward to tomorrows cc, eeek :)
Sending my biggest hugs to you all, take care. Maria Xxxx
