Good Morning Ladies,
Well that's another week almost over, what a miserable one it's been, the weather has been like it should be in November! I noticed that a lady on the News the other day was wearing a thick wooly dress, thick tights and Knee high boots. Not the usual style of clothing for mid May. I haven't even looked in my summer clothes box, I am still reaching for the warm and cosy clothes, I am so tempted to get the heating back on the timer, particularly for when the girls come in from school, as they have been so cold every day this week.
Now onto today's card, this one is the same style as the last Challenge card in that I have used the "Gorgeous Grunge" stamp to create the background with 'Night of Navy' and 'Crumb Cake ' ink pads. I then die cut the New "Happy Birthday" Die out of 'Night Of Navy' Card' twice and stuck them together to give dimension, I mounted this on a topper made using 'Crumb Cake' and 'Night of Navy' card.
A fitting card for any Chap don't you think??
Paul has a 'Change over' day today, he is starting nights tonight, so an easy day on the cards here I think.
I hope you have a lovely day whatever you are up to.
Love and hugs
Sandra

Hi Michele
DeleteI hope your managing to catch up on your workload after the cyber attack.
Hello All, lovely morning here.
ReplyDeleteGreat card Sandra, can feel my list getting longer, had a quick browse through the catalogue last night, got my eye on several sets.
Hope everyone has a good day, hugs Lilian
Hi Lillian, my catalogue arrived yesterday, I have put a sheet of paper in the front to make a wish list. The previous one had post-its sticking out also corners turned down.it looked a real mess. Happy shopping xx
DeleteHi Sandra and all in the Café today. I don't know where my comment went yesterday, I do know that it was my third attempt though so really annoying. Fingers crossed this one appears.
ReplyDeleteI loved the beautiful delicate card you showed yesterday Sandra and making the flap to cover the inside is a genius idea that I will be using, thank you for that 😊
Yes, I agree that todays card is another great one for the men and boys. I love the colours too. I hope you have a good day my lovely x
Pat, I hope your ankle is not so bad today. Hugs are on their way x
Maria, I hope you managed to get some sleep last night and are feeling a bit better today. Yes, Chris is not in much pain now, as long as I hear doesn't try and do anything too strenuous, or laugh as a that really hurts. It would be mean to try and make him laugh occasionally wouldn't it? Would I do a thing like that, would I? 😊😊😊Sending you hugs x
Mum, I wonder if we will get a chance to try some of your new goodies later? See you about midday xxx
Janet, I hope the decorating is going well x
Lilian, how long will it take you to do the children's hoods? X
Val, I hope you are settled back at home x
Brenda, I hope your grandchildren doing exams at the moment aren't too stressed x
Michele, it's good to hear work is settling back down. I hope you have a good restful weekend after an extra hard week at work x
Sonia, it's good to hear that James is feeling less stressed now x
Tracy, did you managed to use your swing yesterday? You have been lucky with the weather compared to a lot of us x
I've just had a call from Tim asking if I can take the girls, that is Phoebe and Paige of course. I must get used to calling them the two bigger girls now, to school so I had better get on.
Sending love and hugs to you all with extras for all in need. Take care xx
Hi Sue, hope you have had a great day with Mum and Pop xx
DeleteMorning Everyone
ReplyDeleteAfter a gorgeous day weather wise yesterday we are back to rain and cold this morning. I really do think someone should have a word with the 'weather fairy' now.
The decorating is coming on and I decided on 'Willow Tree'. It is a Dulux pale green for the walls and white ceiling/gloss work.
I shall only be doing the necessary today as I had a fall yesterday into the back door so feeling a little sore and stiff.o
I've sent a HUGE PILE OF HUGS to you all (extras for everyone today). The CAFE is open and looking inviting with fresh pots of flowers (Cornflowers today) so pop in and have a look. xxxx
Oh Janet hope you're not too black and blue. Don't overdo things today, have lots of rest. Hope you'll feel less sore soon.
Deletexxx
Sorry to hear you fell against door & you are feeling sore, trouble is we bruise easier these days. Hugs on way & take care.xxx
DeleteOh Janet take care and extra gentle hugs are coming your way.
DeleteHi JANET I said yesterday don't get overdoing things. Now you have had a fall what are we going to do with you. Please rest today & hope your not too sore & bruised. Take care my friend sending you some 🤗🤗🤗xxxx

Off to craft Club today and haven't packed my bags yet so better get a move on.
Love to everyone and extra for those of you not feeling too good.
Love Valxxx
Hi Val
DeleteEnjoy your craft club today. It must be lovely crafting in the warmth of the sun. Our weather in London was warmish but the rain didn't curtail our enjoyment.
Hi VAL hope you enjoyed craft club. Do you make cards or is it Mixed crafting. Your really lucky crafting in the sun. We have heavy Rain ☔️
DeleteI'm having a PJ day had a shower & put clean PJs on.
Love Lynda xx
Hi Pat and Lynda, weather is lovely here now. About 27 today, hot enough to have the air con on whist we were crafting.
DeleteThere were 8 of us today and everyone does there own thing but usually papercraft. I took my wonderful faux misti and stamps and had a lovely play. We do a lot of chatting and laughing as well.
Lynda great to have a pj day. It's such a long time since I had one.xxx
Pat so pleased you enjoyed your well deserved break in London. Sounds like you have another lot of hospital appointments next week.
Hope this lot go well. Xxx
Hi Sandra & all in cafe,
ReplyDeleteSandra lovely card again, hope to have a go at CC with Sue later. Have a restful day.xxx
Just starting to rain again so washing in dryer again.
Must get on & get lunch ready because Chris & little Chris are coming with Sue & once they get here it is hopeless too much time spent talking & watching little Chris, it is lovely though.
Sending hugs to all who need them love Margaret.xxx
Margaret I know you will have had a lovely day with Sue and Chris, hope little Chris was on form. He is at such a lovely age. Treasure every moment. xx
DeleteHi Sandra and ladies.
ReplyDeleteI really love this card. I might have to pinch the idea!!! Love the colour combo it's right up my street.
Mrs b. Yes I got time on my swing yesterday lol. Hubby took me and my pal to the craft shop yesterday and then a bit of retail therapy at braehead. We did suggest dobbies but he'd spent enough time at garden centres this week lol. He hates the craft shop too but think the garden centres are worse lol x
Today is sunny again but there's a lots of cloud so I guess the rain might be on it's way today x
Hi Tracy oooo did you buy any goodies at CraftWorld xx now what is priority crafting or swinging 😂😂😂
DeleteTake care my friend. Xx
Tracy enjoy your swing seat. We used to have one and when my dad came to visit he would always go out and sit (lay down) on it, even if he needed a blanket. xx
DeleteHi Sandra
ReplyDeleteLovely card today. I do like your Grunge mans card. Your really getting into your stamping. I think we've got role reversal now. Your doing the stamping, I'm doing the Die cutting. Hope the weather picks up soon. Pete and I both have hospital appointments on Tuesday. Pete has the Heart Hospital on Thursday and the Drs on Friday for the bloods for his kidneys he's having this morning.
Hi PAT you have another full list of appointments again next week.
DeleteHope you enjoyed your time in London. & the ☔️ didn't spoil your time there. Good luck with appointments take care Sending you & Pete some 🤗🤗🤗🤗xx
We had a lovely time in London Lynda. Love the umbrella and the bit of rain we had didn't spoil the show either.
DeleteHi everyone,
ReplyDeleteThis week has run away with me so much I don't know where half of it went.
Rosie, walking Buddy, and I enjoyed the AGM of our U3A group followed by a lovely lunch of Spaghetti Carbonara (me) and 3 bangers 'n mash with fresh veggies(Rosie) before heading off to the Range to pick up some goodies.
Milly-May is 2 on the 26th and I still hadn't thought of an idea for her present. Our trip to the Range solved that, I bought a beautiful sparkly heart memory book and loads of bits and pieces for decoration. I shall add some of her first 2 years of photos with plenty of pockets on each page for Mum to add more.
Yesterday morning saw me at my dance class, run by our Panto choreographer, then quick lunch before driving off to Steart Marshes for the Photography Club field trip.
Couldn't find Jamie's camera to borrow so had another look for mine and found it inside a plastic box in my bedside cabinet and under my wedding bouquet in a crate filled with CDs... lo and behold there was Pete's material I have been looking for the last few months. DOH!
Steart Marshes are a WWF operated site. Visited 2 hides, no birds there on the salt flats so walked along the path leading to another and had the most glorious surprize. Just a round a bend, a Pen and Cob were preening themselves by the path side. WOW! They took no notice of us as we slowly walked by. Trust my camera's batteries to run out, the gentleman who walked alongside me offered to print out a photo for me.
This morning I have been cutting out more strips for Pete's memory pillows with the newly found material ready for my sewing day on Tuesday. Whilst I love being retired I do find I have no structure to the odd days I am not walking, off to a club, housework or visiting friends so have come a decision to pencil in a couple of craft days. I might get more items finished then and do the challenge cards! hehehe
Almost ready to put the beef in the oven, veggies already prepped for when Jamie comes home for tea.
Gentle hugs to everyone especially Janet...fancy hitting backwards into a door. Too much whisky in the coffee mayhaps?
Love 7 hugs
Cheryl xxx
Hi Cheryl
DeleteMy word your days seem to be quite full. Lovely surprise for you and Rosie to find a Pen and Cob preening themselves. Fancy finding Pete's original material. Mind you, they always say when your looking for something you always find something else you've lost. Hope the weather is cheering up your end Cheryl. It's not to nice though here.
So pleased you found Petes material. I always say stop looking and it will turn up. xx
DeleteMorning Sandra and all.
ReplyDeleteAnother nice card for the men in our lives. Good colours together.
Oh Janet- please take it easy today. Hope you not too bruised and sore, Gentle hugs.
Sue- don't you say 'a laugh a minute' tihi Have a nice time with you Mum and pop today.
I hope you all have a good day whatever you are doing today.
Wet outside and nippy inside but don't really want to put the heating on but might have too as step-son arriving tonight and staying for two nights on the blow-up so. Love and hugs to you all, Maria xxx
Hi Sandra & everyone
ReplyDeleteSANDRA love your card & the colour's are striking. I think that Gorgeous Grunge stamp set is definitely going on top of the stamp list. HaHa.
Hope you have had a lazy day. I have had a PJ day had a shower this morning & just put clean PJs on it's been raining ☔️ all day been trying to do challenge card first one will go in bin i think. I'm going to start another one.now..
So going in craft room.
Love Lynda xx
Hi Lynda
DeleteWe're currently in the middle of a thunder storm. I'm glad you enjoyed your PJs day.
Hello Sandra,
ReplyDeleteAnother inspiring card - thank you. xx Did start mine a few days ago. Not happy with it. Sorry! BUT I have another idea (got it from a magazine) might just try that. ...... watch this space as they say.
I haven't heard anything more about Watford meet up. The last date suggested was June 1st. I have relished that's a Thursday and we always pick Ciara up and I take her swimming. Also I now have two hospital appointments the day before one in the morning and the other at 6.15pm both at the same hospital, so not a lot of travelling involved. IF anything changes I will hot foot it over to Watford and join you all. LOL xx
I have had the most awful headache all day. Not something I usually get these days. Hope I'm not coming down with something. Maybe half an hour in the garden will clear it, hope.
Take care dear friends, Love Brenda xxx
Hi Brenda
DeleteI hope your headache clears up soon. I to haven't heard whether 1st June has been confirmed.
1st June is confirmed as far as I know, I hope everyone can make it, hope Karen can get day off too!
