Xx Happy Birthday Sonia & Angela xx
Good Morning Ladies,
Firstly I would like to wish our lovely Sonia and Angela a very Happy Birthday!!!!
I hope you both have an amazing xxxx
Michele shared this fantastic card with me before she went away last week and I have waited for her to return before I shared it so that she could see your lovely comments.
It is a 50th Birthday card for a 'Cat Lover' friend.
I love how you have created depth and dimension to the card by using a 'Stepper card', it works brilliantly Michele.
The die set that Michele used for her card is......
Xcut Georgian Door
Thank you so much for sharing you card with us Michele XXX
Now any of you struggling for sketch card idea, you can research
'Freshly Made Sketches 90' in Pinterest or Google it comes up with some ideas for you !
Pat, have a lovely few days in London, you deserve a break XXX
Sue, I hope that Chris is doing OK XXX
Lynda, I hope you have recovered from being treated to meeting Queen DB herself, were you allowed to touch her?? We saw her years ago at NEC and she was in a roped off area, while her fans all queued around her!!! Haha
I hope that you all have a fun and creative day,
Love and hugs
Sandra
Xxxxx
Morning I love your card MICHELE (I don't mean this rudely) such a simple concept but it's so so effective The icicle die is as SANDRA says a genius idea
ReplyDeleteI giggled at your thoughts on the "mighty" DB She is one of the very few people in the craft world that I don't like as is SW of TL
This is going to sound crazy to you all but at least I got a bit of a fix I found a comfy chair and watched a ScanNCut show on my iPhone 📱
Today is OH's birthday So we may have a glass or two of lemonade We'll at an All Inclusive hotel it'd be rude not to
Take care all xx
Hi Karen
DeleteWish OH a Happy Birthday from us. As you said you might as well have a toast in Lemonade. It would be rude not to.
Happy Birthday to your hubby Karen. Glad you got a bit of a fix Lol Did you bring your knitting needles ? Enjoy the sunshine, hugs xx
DeleteHi Karen. Sending Happy Birthday wishes to your hubby. Of course you can't be so rude as to not raise a glass, or three, of bubbly to celebrate. It will taste even better as it is already paid for 😊 I'm glad you got a crafty fix. Enjoy the rest of your holiday x
DeleteMorning Ladies
ReplyDeleteSandra-thank you for showing my card. I was just playing with Dies that I haven't used for a while & this card just "happened "! I really bought the Dies just for the tiny Scottie dog but as Sandra says-my colleague is a cat lover so I substituted two cat dies.
Well-yesterday was truly horrendous at work. We had 2 computers on a temporary system in the dispensary & we had no working computers! We are classed as working in a Major Incident. All out patients and most surgery has been cancelled for today (same yesterday)-I truly hope we get the computers back on some time today to save any more disruption.
On a much nicer note-I was presented with a Kipling handbag & purse from my colleagues as my 50th birthday present. How lovely was that?
Michele
Hi Michele
DeleteI hope you have a better day at work today than yesterday and your computers are working. Because as I said the Hemoglobins machine broke down all the treatments were behind. One gentleman was on a cycle of treatment that after his infusion they had to wait 5 hrs before they did the last lot of bloods. When we left at 2.45 ish he still hadn't had his infusion. Pete has to do that as well but not for another 2 or 3 weeks.
Hi Michele, hope your day goes better then yesterday. Are you interrupted because of the hacking ? take care xx
DeleteMorning Michele, I hope today is a better one for you and they soon get this hacking situation sorted out. I would have thought that the NHS should have anti hacking protection in place.
DeleteHi Michele. Your card is gorgeous, I bet your friend was delighted with it. And what a brilliant idea to use an icicle die as grass, thank you for sharing g that great tip with us.
DeleteDo you like Kipling bags, I do but only have two small ones and both were gifts but what a lovely group of work mates you have to buy you one and a purse too. They will last for years, they are so well made from "bomb proof" material that takes so much abuse without any damage at all (I know as one of mine has been used just about every day for the last 5 years and it is still like new and I am not gentle with it, to say the least.
I hope work is easier for you today, it's at times like this that we realise just how computers are now crucial in everyday life, especially at work.
If you did have a bad day at work I hope you can relax and maybe craft this evening x
Hi Sandra and ladies
ReplyDeleteSorry I wasn't able to get in yesterday. But we had a horrendous day at the hospital. The machine that measures the hemoglobins was down so Pete couldn't have his infusion until those results came back. We went in at 8.00 o'clock and left about a quarter to three.
Loved all yesterday's cards but I'll go back in later when I can to study them in more detail.
I understand from Sandra that Sue won't be meeting up today as Chris is going in to have a operation on a Hernia. Or perhaps he has more than one to be operated on. Pete has 4 massive ones after his operations which he hates. He's asked a couple of times if these can be done but as it's not essential they won't do them. He might mention it again he says when he goes up again if there doing them again. Although thinking about it Sue I assume that Chris will be going into Swindon Hospital not Oxford.
Michele I love the card you've made for your friend. The grass especially is a genius idea. Hopefully it's not going to rain today. If it does it will be the Bus Museum and the Aquarium.
Los of hugs to all who need one today. Hope that Lynda, Terry and Maria aren't in to much pain today.
Hope your day in London is fine and you enjoy the museum and aquarium, thinking of you both. hugs xx
DeleteHi Pat. I'm sorry to hear you had such a long visit to the hospital yesterday, and just when you were itching to get on the coach to start your much needed break.
DeleteYes Chris did have his hernia op I. GWH, Swindon. We always get the choice of either Swindon or Oxford hospitals and as GWH is only a few mins from Mum and Pops, has less of a parking problem and had the shortest waiting list he chosebto go there. He had someone elses cancelled appointment so it was much quicker than expected. He is in a lot of pain at the moment but that is to be expected for a few days.
I hope you are able to put all of the hospital visits to the back of your mind as much as possible dear friend while you are away so that you can enjoy enjoy yourself. Sending big hugs x
Hello All, very wet here.
ReplyDeleteMichele sorry you had such an horrendous day yesterday, hope they get the computers fixed soon. Your card is great, would be so useful for Christmas too.
Sue hope Chris's op goes well, and that he is on the road to recovery soon.
Was going to start the c card last night , but after finishing work and doing the ironing I'm afraid I was too tired, hopefully tonight.
Have a good day all, hope it's drier were you are, hugs Lilian
Hi Lilian, sorry to see you got another wet day. We might get the same as the clouds do look very dark around. Sending you many hugs (hope one day to give you a real one) :) take care xx
DeleteHi Lilian. We have had a lot of rain today too, but the temperature has been in the mid to high teens so felt rather stormy.
DeleteLet's hope it is back to blue skies and sunshine tomorrow for us all.
I hope you have managed to craft after your busy day x
Morning Everyone
ReplyDeleteWe are still in the rainy/windy and cold zone this morning.
MICHELE- love your Stepper Card and the subject. It really lends itself to all ages/gender.
Hope today is better and that things get sorted quickly. I know what I'd like to do with whoever started the horrible hacking.
The CAFE is open and waiting for you all. Hugs on their way with a few extra for Dear Friends in need. xxxx
Morning Janet, thank you for opening the cafe for us every morning, you always make it look so nice so hopefully it will bring more people in to give a comment :) have a nice day even with the rain and stormy winds, hugs xx
DeleteHave Janet. I second Maria's words on how you look after the Café so well and it is always such a pleasure to pop in at any time of the day, thank you x
DeleteSorry, that should read Hi not have Janet x
DeleteMorning ladies,
ReplyDeleteI think we must be in the doldrums, it has been colder inside my house than outside lately and we have had the most tremendous heavy rain deluges interspersed with hailstones.
Fantastic quirky card Michele, just love the icicle grass.
Tonight is our Sewing/Craft Club for which I will be mainly mending the hem of a jumper and re hemming a T-shirt. One of the jobs I keep putting off and have now decided to start and finish.
Gentle for all our ladiesa nd hubbies not feeling too good today
Love 7 hugs
Cheryl xxx
Hi Cheryl. I hope your sewing session well well and you managed to repair the hems. Do you find that tshirt hems more often than not start to undo after a short amount of time after buying them? I seem to have to resew most of ours, and it doesn't matter where they are bought from either. Anyway,I hope you had a good natter with your friends at the sewing/craft club and that the weather settles into the warm weather we should be having at this time of year.
DeleteHave you been walking with your friend since leaving the walking group with the rude lady in it? I do miss your wonderful descriptions of your wanderings around our lovely countertop side x
Morning Sandra and to all visiting this blog.
ReplyDeleteThank you for showing us the card from Michele. Cleaver to use the icicles as the grass. A great stepper card.
Aching a bit after a late walk with friends from ww last night but need to go shopping so that's the morning gone and then hope to play this afternoon. I wish you all have a good day with whatever you do. I pop in later to see what you been doing. Love and many hugs to you all. Maria Xxxx
