A very bright and cheerful card

Good Morning Ladies,

I thought I'd send you some sunshine in card form today as the forecast for next few days looks a little grey and damp.  My heart goes out to those people that have pitched up at their spot for Saturday only to be rained on for 2 days, I applaud their commitment, I imagine there is a lovely atmosphere at night though as they all socialise and get to know each other.  One thing that did surprise me was that there is a huge area of Marquees dedicated to catering for the press, they have a designated area to stand and in the park behind them is a village erected to cater for their needs, there was me thinking that King Charles hated the photographers etc!   I do hope that it doesn't rain on the parade on Saturday,  it would be so lovely to see all the shiny body armour of the Household Calvary etc,  they have put so much work in to look their best.

Todays card is a card that I have pinned a few versions of, I love the colours,  I used a 'cool' sentiment as I think this card would be great for the girls friends.                                                                        The stamp I used is 'Uniko' Mehndi Mandala, I love it !  I stamped the Mandala in Versamark and added white embossing powder and heat set.  Then came the fun part....the blending I used Picked Raspberry,  Spiced Marmalade & Scattered Straw Distress Ink. The part I love is rubbing over the inked area and rediscovering the white embossing. I stamped and embossed the sentiment and coloured with the same inks.  I finished the card with a tiny sparkle in the mandala centre.

I hope that you all have a lovely day,

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra                                                                      xxxxxx

  1. Hi everyone
Your card is beautiful today. I love the mandala stamp and your colour combo is fabulous 😍
It’ll be a shame if it rains on Saturday, but that’s the great British weather for you! I remember a few years back watching the Queen and Prince Philip travelling up the Thames on a boat, and they both looked freezing (I can’t remember the occasion) but that was around about this time of year and the weather was dismal.
Mark arrived safely in Ibiza. They got a couple of days to enjoy before playing their gig tomorrow night. He’s been sitting by the pool enjoying the warm weather.
Have a good day everyone whatever you’re doing
Sending hugs to you all xxx

  2. A really pretty summery card We are having sunshine but it’s mighty cold!
I think it was the queen’s platinum where they were on that boat going down the Thames I hope it stays dry for it
I expect the Press have paid for their marquees etc
I hope Mark enjoys Ibiza- you didn’t fancy a trip to the sunshine Sonia? Mind you it is nice to have time to yourself once in a while
Daughter popping around this afternoon to look at some things and then hopefully dancing later - we were stationary in traffic due to an accident last week and OH did say we wouldn’t bother
    Take care everyone xx

  3. Hello, rain and very chilly here ,although the wind has dropped now. Heating back on.
Let’s hope the weather gets better for Saturday, I so love all the pageantry, I think we do it better than any other country. Jackie ( daughter) and her husband are coming from London so we shall be watching it together.

Another lovely card today, I have some of those mandala stamps from when the late Jayne Nesterenko used to design them. Your blending is excellent. I’ve just finished my piece for this week so will send it shortly. Hope you all enjoy your evening whatever you’re up to. Lilian

Today has been nice but still a bit chilly in the wind. Hoping too that the weekend turns out better that said weather wise. Very sad if it's raining on the parade.
We had dentist this morning, god I hate going so much, afterwards we went shopping and back home we did some gardening our self so now a little rest before time to make the dinner so no crafting again today. Tomorrow is another day but already Friday....
Hope you all had a good day and your evening be fine too whatever you are doing. Sure we all wished we were sitting around the pool with your OH Sonia hihihi Many hugs to you all, xxx
