Mixed Craft Saturday

Good Morning Ladies,

I am writing today's blog post as I sit in the shade on a very warm evening while dinner is cooking.  We were having a very relaxed, laid back holiday but recent events have made us feel a little uneasy.
Barcelona is just a little too close for comfort to be honest, we were planning on visiting as we thought that the architecture would be great inspiration for Sophie's A level art.  I am thinking that they are unlikely to repeat their attack but still don't fancy being in large crowds where emotions are very high.

Anyway onto today's post, so many lovely craft purchases and some beautiful handmade crafts from both Janet and Karen. So without further ado......

I decided to add Carole Matthews, "Paper Hearts & Summer Kisses" to my Holiday Reading list, well girls I can wholeheartedly 100% recommend you get it, it's loosely based on our lovely Craft friend Christine Emberson and Elliott's live's, it's funny, sad, heartwarming all in one book, on the day I started it I hardly looked up from my kindle before I realised I was on Chapter 52!!! I couldn't put it down. It mentions craft addictions too which we can all relate too.  I am so glad I took the plunge !

Janet

Janet has sent two stunning craft projects to share with you today, the first is an absolutely beautiful Cross Stitched picture of two adorable little girls walking onto the beach, wouldn't it be lovely to see little girls dressed like that these days instead of leggings! Our Becca and the girls all had an M&S dress with the Hand Smocking on the front, I loved them.  Anyway Janet your cross Stitch is perfect and absolutely adorable.
Janet's second piece is the Beautiful 'Pinflair' Anniversary card, it is just exquisite Janet, with the sparkle from the sequins and luxurious white ribbon edges, what an amazing Keepsake, you always finish your projects perfectly Janet.
The third photo is Janet's purchase of dies (from China) I believe, what an amazing selection Janet, I love the tractor and the Deers and Tree scene.
Thank you so much for inspiring us all Janet
XXX

Michele

Michele has shared her craft shopping this week, a fantastic selection of what I class as 'Essential' craft dies, I am guessing they are from China too as our Michele is an expert when it comes to spotting a bargain!!
Thanks for sharing your shopping Michele
XXX

 Karen

Karen has shared a beautiful selection of proper 'Hand Knitted' Baby Cardigans, oh my goodness I love to see a baby in a lovely white babygro and hand knitted cardigan, I still have (hoarded) all of the hand-knitted cardigans that my 4 babies had, some knitted by family that are no longer with us, so too precious to part with.
Here is Karen's description......

"Just thought I'd send you a few of the makes I will be taking to Harefield Hospital when Team Gary do the Fun Run in September. Each one will have a printed onto ribbon "Handmade by..." label with washing instructions
There is a League of Friends Tea Room and shop So I make baby clothes throughout the year and what's not "pinched" by my daughter for friends etc they will sell."
Karen I bet they all well like hot cakes, they are gorgeous and I love the colours you have used too, thank you so much for sharing my lovely.
XXX

 Brenda

Brenda bought some new Stampin'Up goodies for making Christmas cards, the 'Starlight' dies are lovely and have both the detailed dies and the outline dies for backing or making apertures.  The "Lovely as a Tree" stamp set is Stampin'Up's longest selling set I believe, it has been in every catalogue since it was designed, it is very versatile though.
Thank you Brenda, I can't wait to see your cards!
XXX

 Lynda
Lynda managed to bag herself this bargain bin eBay, the Spellbinder's Sapphire is a great mini die cutting machine that seem to have become as popular if not more popular than the larger machines.  This one has a good reputation as well unlike the Baby Blue that many people had problems with.  This one will be much easier to put in your bag when crafting at your daughter's Lynda, thank you my lovely for sharing it with us
XXX

Thank you to all of you that sent in projects and purchases today XXX

Sue, I do hope the Sun shone for the wedding, I was thinking of you all, did you take any photos, I would voice to see one?!  I had visions of you cranking out paper flowers in your sleep for decorations!! XXX

Sending the warmest love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra

Something Festive for Friday

Good Friday Morning Ladies,

Can you believe a week of our holiday has gone already?!
I hope that you are all well and that the weather is being kind to you.

There are about 18 weeks left until Christmas, so that means we have about 12 weeks left to get all of our Christmas cards made and ready to post!! Which isn't really that long, so I will start to feature a Christmas card each week from now on to inspire you to get started with yours, I may miss one week while I'm away but will begin properly when I get home.

Today's card was made using the lovely 'Star Of Light' Stampin'Up stamp set and matching Thinlits. I die cut the star into a piece of 'Very Vanilla' card and then created a 'Fresh Fig' matt to fit behind it, I made a pencil mark around the aperture and stamped and Embossed the matching stamp into the marked area, using Gold Embossing Powder.
I then stamped the two gold flourishes and the sentiment onto the 'Very Vanilla ' topper and made a border out of Fresh Fig card with the Ribbon Border Punched out of Gold Glitter card, I ran some narrow Fresh Fig ribbon through the border and finished it with a bow.  I die cut a star from Glitter card to dress my bow.
I hope my card has inspired you to think about your Christmas cards, although I know Val has been busy making them for a while!

I hope you all have a lovely weekend ladies, if any of you have anything to share for Mixed Up Saturday, please send me a photo.

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra

Bright and Cheerful Blooms

Good Morning Ladies,

I have made a bright and cheerful card to brighten your day today, I had stamped and punched these flowers when I first bought the punch but hadn't gotten round to using them, I had them sat in my desk waiting for some inspiration to pop into my head!  Then in the Wednesday before we set off the idea just came to me!!! Mind you I was desperately trying different ways to get inspiration for making the 15 cards I needed to keep you entertained and inspired while I was absent from my craft room, I'm only used to needing one idea at a time!!

I used the 'Berry Burst' shade from the 'Fresh Florals' Designer Series Paper collection and cut it to fit diagonally across half of my card, I then took a piece of the same colour Card and used my 'Ribbon Border' Punch to create a matching fancy edge to the DSP, I threaded white ribbon through it too.  I then placed my three flowers that I had stamped with the 'Flower Shop' stamp set and punched with matching 'Pansy Punch', I used my brand new Leaf Punch to create the foliage, stamped with its matching stamp and I always like to give them a little scrunch to make them look more realistic.
I stamped the 'Happy Birthday' from 'Better Together' SU stamp set, then added three faceted sparklers for a bit of bling!
I hope you like my card.

I hope you ladies are behaving yourselves in my absence, there had better be no skiving off ! I am watching, so no bun fights Maria!! Well ok you can have them but please tidy up before Janet comes in ! 😉😉😉

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra

A Trio of cards from Lilian &Happy Birthday Paul

Good Morning Ladies,

Before I start today's post I would like to wish my amazing Husband Paul, the very happiest of Birthdays, you are just the most perfect husband anyone could wish for, be prepared to be treated like a King today, love you millions xxx

I have been saving these cards to show you all while I'm away but I just can't wait any longer!  I think it's partly because I have really missed seeing Our Lilian's cards in the Challenges while she has been poorly.  This trio of cards was well worth the wait though.

Lilian, all three of your cards are stunning, you have perfected the art of adding just the right amount of sparkle or embellishments.
The first card with the Dandelion, blowing in the breeze is stunning, you have added just the perfect amount of glitter, so that it just sparkles in the light. The sunset in your 'Faux Aperture' is the perfect backdrop for all three of these cards.  I absolutely love the edger die you have used in this card too, it's so delicate.
The second card uses the same stamped image but this time you have stamped foliage in opposite corners, making the card look quite different but just as amazing.
The final card features a different stamp, I love this image too, such a peaceful scene of butterflies fluttering around a meadow.

To be honest I have never thought about creating 'Sets' of cards that all have a common theme, like the butterflies and sunset in you cards Lilian, such a fantastic idea that I think I will have a go at when I get home.
Thank you so much for allowing me to share these gorgeous cards with all of our friends Lilian . XXX

I wanted to update you all on our first fun treat of the holiday, Paul and I booked an afternoon in a 'Velo Rail' which is a funny contraption that looks like two bikes out together with a long bench seat at the back, they are fun on old disused railways throughout France, we have been staying in Millau as a stopover for years and the girls have always asked to go on the Velo-Rail but we have never had the time as we are always just passing through.  This year Paul suggested that we book it as a surprise for the girls as it may well be the last time they 'want' to come on holiday with us.  So that's what we did and we told them on the night before, their faces absolutely lit up!
We set off to find the Station (which was an adventure in itself) and booked in, the girls were insistent about 'driving' so Paul and I were like royalty lounging in the back, we pedalled along the track over 3 different viaducts and experienced the most breathtaking views imaginable, the course that we took was 8 kilometres long, mostly downhill, our drivers were rewarded at the end with a delicious local ice-cream, which we ate while listening to a charming lady playing an accordion, the return journey was by train.  All in all it took about three hours, the time whizzed by though.
We all thoroughly enjoyed it, you have to book well in advance though, the whole of August was booked up, so I was relieved that we booked back in May.

The Velo Rail carriage

Not our photos but an these are the views

I will! Share some of our photos later in the week.

Sending love and hugs to all,

Quick and Easy stamped card

Good Morning Ladies,

I hope that you are all ok, when I popped in on Sunday night and saw that so many of you were missing I panicked a little, I do hope you are all ok?  It's so rare to pop in and not see Janet's warm welcome, I do hope you are ok my lovely, this is the part I hate most about leaving the blog, I love the reassurance of reading your comments every day so I know that you are all ok.

Today's card is a simple but effective, quick stamped card, I used two colours to stamp my images in 'Pool Party' and 'Marina Mist', the latter is a new colour (to my collection) and I think I will be using it a lot, it reminds me of the 'Periwinkle' card we all fell in love with a year or so ago.
I stamped the 'Fleur de Lis' style image from the 'Timeless Textures' stamp set around the card in 'Pool Party' first and then with 'Marina Mist', I then took the spot/splatter stamp and filled in any gaps. I inked around the edges in my 'Pool Party' and then used 'Marina Mist' to stamp my sentiment, which is the 'Stylised Happy Birthday' stamp.  I used the matching card stock to Matt and layer my card, I was really pleased with the way it turned out, stamping still feels new to me and I actually love it!!

Timeless Textures Stamp set

I am writing today's blog on Sunday evening as we won't be able to get internet access for a couple of days, Paul is always a bit reluctant to get it, not so much about the cost, he says (and I agree) that having the internet can be too much of a destraction  for the girls, if we don't have it they are happy to sit and read books etc, but ok once internet is available they have their phones in their hands!  I don't mind to a point by but I personally think it's nice 'not' to know what's going on!!!

So hopefully today we have everything up and put together, I will let you know when I look in later.

Lilian I hope you are feeling well enough to pop in today my lovely, sending gentle hugs xxx

Gentle hugs on way to the rest of of you that are feeling fragile.

Huge, squishy ones to the rest of you,

Love and hugs

Monday Challenge

Good Morning Ladies,

Today's card is a lovely bright, juicy pop of colour, it's Stampin'Up! 'Lemon Lime Twist' of course, such a gorgeous colour, it's one of my favourites for sure.

Now today's Challenge is for you to make a 'Tone on Tone" colour scheme, which basically means you make a card using just one colour other than your base card colour, it can be any colour you choose, mixed with white or black or any base colour you fancy.  I just used a white base card, I then created my background piece by first inking through a mask onto the card, I then spritzed it with water and ran it though my Platinum with the Hardwood embossing folder, which is an extra thick one.  Then I inked up my brayer and lightly swiped it over the raised embossed areas to pick out the details of the Embossing, all with 'Lemon Lime twist' ink of course. I added this to my base card and then stamped my sentiment on white card and die cut it with a 'Lots of Labels' die, adding a Matt of the same colour.
I stamped three of the 'Flower Shop' Pansy stamps and punched them out, adding small diamanté to the centres of each flower and then cut another to dress my ribbon bow with, this had a small faceted sparkler to the center. A few leaves  in same colour way finish my floral element. I arranged them around the sentiment, with the matching ribbon bow in the opposite corner.  I wasn't sure about having everything in the same colour at first but it really grew on me.
I hope you enjoy having a go, you could keep it simple and do 'White on white' which is always a winner or go all out like I did!
The card can be any style and design you choose.
I look forward to seeing your cards.

We should hopefully be finishing our journey today and arriving at the Campsite, fingers crossed!!!

I hope that you are all well and those that are feeling under the weather have a brighter day.

Lilian, how did you GP visit go? Fingers crossed they have you on the right track to recovery, sending hugs

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra

 Janet

Janet, two absolutely gorgeous cards from you this week, they are both like proper original 'Sue' W' cards, with gorgeous dies, lovely ribbon and bows and beautiful flowers, it's hard to choose a favourite but I think mine is the second one with that beautiful Cameo embellishment.

The embossing folder is an Embossilicious one
I've edged this and the background with Weathered Wood distress ink

Mixed Up Saturday/ Michele's Magazine Review

Good Morning Ladies,

Welcome to our Mixed Up Saturday where we share just about anything with each other, well we are all very dear friends aren't we?!

Janet

Janet has made theses stunning hanging decorations, they look like something a bridesmaid could carry at a Wedding as they are so beautiful.
One looks like it's made from a stunning flower tulle, with pretty pearls adorning their centres. The other is decorated with stunning Lace Heart Appliques, Janet you are so very talented when it comes to making anything with lace, these two are exquisite.  Thank you so much for sharing XXX

Diecutting Essentials this month comes with a great freebie-the wine bottle & glass are very useful for so many occasions. Lots of articles in the magazines featuring the freebies. Christmas cards are starting to appear in the magazines now.

Cardmaking & Papercraft magazine-comes with a set of 5 border embossing folders which are lovely but I'm unlikely to use them so they'll go in my EBay sales box!

Simply Cards & Papercraft magazine comes with a great set of Dies this month which work alongside the bottle set from Diecutting Essentials. Quite a few articles showing different ways to use all the Dies. Great article on Spotlight Stamping and again, quite a few Christmas cards in this
issue.

This has just arrived (Papercraft Inspirations) and has a lovely snowflake border Die free this month. There's some lovely free papers inside the magazine-Autumn themed which should be very useful.

That's it until the next batch of magazines arrive!!

Happy Crafting
Michele

Thank you so much Michele for purchasing and reviewing the magazine's for all us, it's great to get a look at what freebies you actually get. Thanks you for your time XXX

Karen

Karen saw this "Papercuts" die and just had to buy it, I think you are like me Karen in that you don't buy too many Christmas stamped and Dies, as you only get to use them once a year, whereas with other dies you get to use to them throughout the year.
This die is so detailed and beautiful Karen, I think it will last you years!
Thank you for sharing
XXX

Brenda

Brenda has treated her to some more amazing Stampin'Up! Stamps, paper and matching ribbon, in beautiful colours.  I can't wait to see what cards you make with all of these new goodies Brenda, I bet you don't know where to start, I usually Check out Pinterest to see what everyone else has done with a stamp set, it gives you some great ideas.  I also bought a 'Cool Melt ' glue gun, but for me the 'jury is still out'!
I can't make up my mind about it, I found the glue sticks a little bit stringy and found it hard to do just a tiny drop, so I will be very interested to see how get on with it.
Thank you so much for sharing your shopping Brenda XXX

Thank you to all of you that took part in today's blog post, I really do appreciate it when you all participate. I love sharing your crafting journey too.

We should hopefully be well clear of Paris by the time this blog post goes live, we did discover that we are traveling on one of the busiest weekends in France, but fingers crossed we can get a good bit done before it gets too busy!

Have a lovely weekend ladies,

Love and hugs to all,

Sandra

Oldie for Friday Card

Good Morning Ladies,

It's all systems go in our house this morning, well apart from Paul, who is sleeping as late as he can as he will be driving through the night tonight, it's both cooler and quieter one the roads in the early hours, the girls will probably be sleeping too.
We have the worst part of the journey to tackle first, the M40 and The M25 will both be absolutely heaving with traffic as it's a Friday and the holidays.  We are setting off early afternoon so that we can allow for delays and hopefully still have time to stop for tea somewhere. Last year there were horror stories about the problems and delays caused by immigrants trying to crossed on Calais, this year there had been barely any news about it, until yesterday when one of the tabloids did a feature explaining that there is still a huge problem and they have had 100's of 1000's of attempted crossings.  Fingers crossed that there are no issues today.

Today's card is a very Special Card to me as it is the first Card that I had ever made totally with stamps, no ribbon, lace or dies!  I just hadn't been able to stamp up until I started with Stampin'Up and bought my 'Faux Misti'.  So I have to say I am very proud of this card, I know the person that received it will appreciate how special it is and treasure it.
I made it using some older stamp sets, Avant Garden for the flowers and background and Delicate Details for the lace border, two amazing stamp sets!

Now I can't begin to tell you how touched I was when Sue popped over to drop off my birthday card and pick up some dies, she had bought me something so amazing, I can't  believe how amazingly kind and thoughtful and BLOODY GENIUS, Sue's husband Chris is, Sue left mine in Tuesday after our lovely day together, during the afternoon I mentioned to her the dilemma of struggling to use my crutches on the beach and she was crafting while I did some more research and called a manufacturer of ferrules, getting no joy whatsoever, I will add that Sue and I confirm have conversations about how things work and how they could be improved or how we could make them cheaper!! I knew that Sue's Dad (Margaret's Alan,) was brilliant and coming up with solutions for things and has invented some cutting edge farm machinery in his time, so we were throwing some ideas about, after Sue left I didn't really give it another thought Until Sue arrived today with items in the picture above, Chris had researched the internet looking to see if he could find anything but like me couldn't,so he put his thinking cap on and invented two special adaptions for my crutches, he went and bought parts from a Walking /Hiking shop and some special bolts that open up when tightened so will trip the inside stem of my crutches to hold in place, the added some strong foam, the look absolutely perfect for the job, I can't wait to try them out.
Chris I am so immensely grateful to you for the time and effort you put into making these for me. I really love to sit in the beach and watch my family having fun in the sea, Sophie and Lucy and 100% water babies, they spend hours swimming and playing ball etc in the sea and this year they have their Stand Up Paddle Board to master! But getting across the beach is so incredibly painful as my crutches sink into the sand and don't offer anywhere near as much support as they are supposed to, for years I just struggled and tried to hide how much pain I was in, but this past couple of years I simply couldn't hide it, I was determined to do it, it took me a long time but I would just walk, rest and continue, as a consequence we could only manage to go every other day or so, so I had time to recover, they tried to hide their disappointment but I'm their Mum, I could tell.  It has always (for past 15 years) we have been going, been a dream of mine to get up early and as soon as the beach access gate is open to and sit on the beach and have my morning croissant, up until now (as you will know with Sue), acheiving anything that arduous at 7am is impossible, my body can barely food with one foot in front of the other, let alone in the same with sinking crutches!  I am now confident that I will be able to realise my dream and fully intend to be sat eating my croissant on the beach at 7am ,(ish) on my 50th birthday, what an incredible gift you have given me Chris, thank you from the bottom of my heart, you are so kind and thoughtful, I will give you the hugest hug next time I see you!  Thank you to you too Sue, for taking the ideas to Chris, I always laugh at you and Paul and your "how can we make that cheaper' chats, but this one has led to something very special, you are an amazing friend Sue, thank you xxxxx

Sorry ladies I have waffled on a bit too much today but wanted to explain my gratitude.

Thank you all for your lovely holiday wishes,

Have a lovely day my lovely friends,

Love and hugs

Sandra

Festive Thursday!!!

Good Morning Ladies,

Ooh, so much to do, so little time!! I haven't even got time to write another list, so we will be 'winging it' today.
Frustratingly we have to go back into Witney to collect our Euros, I was checking the different exchange rates online and Post Office was best but only if you buy online, so I thought 'that's ok we will be going into local shops this afternoon we can pick them up then' but NO, because it was after 12 we could no longer click and collect at our local Post Office until Friday afternoon (which isn't possible as we"ll be gone), so I phone our local PO and the lady thinks the internet is wrong as they have them in stock, so I asked if we could just come and get them, at this point I heard the faithful "sucking in of breath' then she said" the best rate I can do is.......€. Which was almost £45 less than we would have got if we ordered on line and collected at PO, so we decided to order them and drive to pick them up.
I just can't believe that same company can have such different exchange rates.!

Today's card is bought to you with the help of 'Mr Brown' (UPS Man), he delivered my Autumn Winter pre-order!!
I used Pool Party card, which I embossed with the 'Softly Falling' SU Embossing Folder, I then die cut two Snowflake Borders from the 'Swirly Snowflake' thinlit set, i cut them out of SU Silver card, I die cut some Snowflakes from the same set and two sizes of Label from the 'Lots of Labels ' Framelits.  I stamped the 'Seasons Greetings' from the "Snowflake Sentiments' Stamp set, and Embossed it with Ultra Fine Silver Embossing Powder.
I adhered to the Snowflake Borders to the pool party card, then added a piece of Pool Party Shimmer Ribbon across the top of die cuts and then added a narrow strip of Silver card die cut with tiny holes, with another die from the same collection.
Mounted my to labels together and popped them into the centre of the card, then added snowflakes.
I hope you like it.

Well that's all from me for now, I have got to go as I have doctor appointment this morning at 9am!!  Way too early!! Lol

Have a lovely day ladies,

Love and hugs

Jar of love

Good Morning Ladies,

I am loving this new stamp and die set from
Stampin'Up!, it's called 'Jar of Love's, I bought the matching Thinlet dies too, so I could stamp and die cut each individual flower and stem to build a bouquet.
You also get the Kilner style hard with lids, even a stamp for the water is included!
I hope you like my card.

Sue and I had a lovely day crafting together, I managed to make 3 cards while we were crafting together and Sue made her challenge card, which must be an all time record for total amount of cards made in our craft sessions, we all usually come away with part of a card made but never a finished one.  It was so lovely to catch up after a couple of weeks too.

I sent Sue away on a mission, to find a solution to frustrating problem I have, which is walking on sand with crutches!
They just sink in, it's so frustrating.  There was nothing in the UK to solve the problem
apart from a company that custom make 'ferrules' (rubber bit on crutch bottom), who make a special adaption for walking sticks for people that want to do Lawn Bowling, it would work for sand but the won't make them for crutches!  There is a company in  USA that make the 'Sand Pad' got crutches, but they were  $45 Each plus at least  €45 dollars shopping, which is absolutely ridiculous price! I came up with all kinds of novel ideas that Paul has dismissed, from table tennis rackets to frisbee's ! If any of you stumble on a solution please let me know xx

I had a message from Lilian saying that she us looking in most days but sadly still isn't strong enough to pop in and comment.
Please join me in sending our dear friend a huge hug xxx

Becca is taking the girls to Alton Towers today, I hope the weather stays dry for them.

Have a lovely day however you are spending it.

Love and hugs to all of you

My Challenge Card

Autumn/Winter 2017
Catalogue

Good Morning Ladies,
I managed to get my Challenge card made yesterday, I hoped to sit and make loads
but I am just not a batch card maker, I like every card to be individual, which means it takes about an hour of decision making before any 'trials' begin!

Today's card was made with:
' Whole lot of lovely' designer series papers
' Lots of Labels' dies
Ribbon Border Punch
'Big on Birthdays' stamp set
'May Flower' Framelite  (flowers)
Pool Party Shimmer Ribbon
White sheer Ribbon
Tranquil Tide card

I used Tranquil Tide  card as my base colour, then added a layer of the 'whole lot of lovely ' paper as my background.   I used a narrow piece of Pool Party card stamped with a the border stamp from 'Background Bits stamp set. I then edge that with a border made from two strips of Punched Ribbon Border which I glued with a small gap between, I layered the two ribbons on top of the border punches, I tied a bow with each piece of ribbon and layered them with a tiny flower. I then stamped my sentiment onto 'Pool Party ' card using 'Tranquil Tide ' ink, die cut it with the largest of the 'Lots of Labels ' dies, I also made a larger faux Matt for the large label die cut by cutting a piece of card slightly wider than the last die cut and left it long, I then used the largest of the dies to cut each end so I could make the shape as long as I needed.
I added some dimensional foam pads and mounted this piece onto the centre of my card.  The final stage is to stamp and die cut a selection of flowers in colours that match the paper.
I hope you like the card, I can't wait to see yours.

I hope that all made sense, I have just finished crafting for the night so I can write my blog and it is 01:48am!!
The sorting and packing continues, there is so much stuff lined up now it's becoming hard to get round! It will all be worth it come Friday!
Sue is coming over  today, which will give Paul a break from my nagging !!

The new Stampin'Up Autumn Winter catalogues  arrived yesterday, If you would like one please let me know below.

Hope all is well with all of you, Lilian you are in my thoughts my lovely, I really miss you popping  in each day, hurry and get well soon xxx

Love and hugs to all of you

Monday Sketch Challenge

Good Morning Ladies,

Firstly I would like to apologise for not getting  my sketch card finished to post with the Sketch today, I just completely ran out of time and energy, I will it ready for you tomorrow though.  I am sure you don't need my card to inspire you anyway, it's nice to see someone's idea though.

I have chosen a fairly straightforward sketch, something that you can all manage quite easily, in the meantime if you need any inspiration just type.. 'Paper Players Sketch 138' or PP138.  That should bring up previous cards made for that Challenge.

What have you all been up to this weekend? We had quite a busy one, Saturday we went over to Gloucestershire to a camping shop to buy a new light and some heavy duty tent pegs,  because the ground is like rock and normal pegs bend like the are made with card!  We went and had a look at the tents while we where there, it's so easy these days as tents are inflatable, they have beams of air going across them rather than poles.  So you get your tent out spread it out and after 10 minutes pumping it's up!!   Paul said he would have to see reviews in a year or two's time to see how reliable the air beams are.  It would mean that we could continue camping on our own, as the main issue now is that I can't hold poles up, so it takes Me, Paul and the girls to put it up.  We will see I guess, I'm sure they have gone through all the issues and ironed them out. It makes you wonder what they will think of next, I quite fancy a tent like they had in Harry Potter, where you swish your and and it's up, when you step through the door it has everything in place, including a working fireplace!
Yesterday we went and did the main bulk of the food shopping, which just leaves fridge stuff to get on Thursday, so we are getting there, still have three long lists though!!
We have Doctors today with the girls and hair cut in the evening, so hopefully get some more cards made in between!

Have a lovely day whatever you have planned.

Love and hugs

Sandra
