Our Next Challenge

Good Morning Ladies,

Today I would like to give thanks to Our Hero's for the service to our Country, your Bravery,  sacrifice and strength will never go unnoticed  we will forever be indebted to you and your families for all that you have given to our Country.   We will always Remember Them.

Another chilly day here yesterday,  we like to leave the back door open so that Milo & Bella can come and go as they please during the day (unless its raining) but the last few days they haven't been bothered about going out, as sure sign that it's getting cooler,  yesterday Paul was up and down letting them in and out as it was too cold to leave it open.  We did try getting washing dry outside too but gave up after getting it in when it rained the second time.  Becca has bought one of those Electric Airing Horse things, you plug it in , it has a cover that you put over to keep the heat in, she is very impressed so far and is much cheaper to run than a Tumble dryer, there is only two of them though.
Do any of you have one?

Our Next Challenge

Now I really struggled this week to decide on what to choose, I really do try to come up with a challenge that I know you will all enjoy, taking into consideration the things that you all enjoy doing and things that you don't enjoy. I also like to think about those things we all have gathering dust that we forget about when we get a few new craft goodies.
So after hours of deliberating, looking at things thst we haven't used for a while I decided to go with Background Dies,  they were a staple of our card making back on those early days, when we all used Sue Wilson’s dies as the foundation to our cards,  we have all moved on in our crafting journey though, a lot of us use more stamps or patterned paper collections these days.
We can still incorporate stamping and our gorgeous papers into the challenge with background dies too.  I hope that you all enjoy this challenge,  I hope that it isn't too 'challenging ' !!
For me the biggest challenge will be finding those older dies!!!
I can't wait to see what you all create.   If you have any particular topics for challenges please leave them in comments,  I like to be challenged too. 🤣😂

I hope that you all have a fabulous Friday,

Love and the HUGEST hugs to all of you,

Sandra

  1. Morning Everyone
Like you SANDRA I shall have to have a 'digging' session finding my background dies which haven't seen the light of day for quite some time. You never know I might find a 'pot of gold' lol.

It's going to be minimum 'swearing' today and of course it's Mr Tesco delivery this afternoon.

HUGS are on their way to you all. Please take care and stay safe.xxxx

  2. I love the idea for this challenge and your cards are so pretty Like a lot of us I have moved away from using background dies I will enjoy using the grey matter
My daughter has one of those dryers and whilst she finds them good she feels they are expensive to run AND take up a lot of room
I didn’t do any crafting or crochet yesterday which is very unusual for me We’re out dancing tonight So I doubt I will do any today
    Take care everyone xx

I'm feeling cold too and all I want to do is wrap up on the sofa.

  4. Hi everyone
Great challenge for next week and I love your inspirational cards 😊
Still feeling chilly here although the temperatures are higher than average! I’m struggling to get washing dry as we just have a normal clothes airier. We did have a tumble dryer - which was always running, but since it broke down about a year ago, we never bothered to replace it. I’m glad now that we didn’t seeing the price of electricity going up.
Hope everyone has had a good day and enjoy the evening.
Sending hugs to you all xxx

  5. Hello Sandra and ladies,
Lots of brilliant inspiration for the next challenge, thank you so much Sandra xx
We don’t have a tumble drier. I have occasionally used the ones in the laundrette around the corner. Mostly we use the clothes airier, but any big items (joggers etc) we put a pole on the upstairs bannister - it’s L shape and put clothes on hangers and hang them over the stairs, they dry very quickly. But only do that if no one is coming!!
Had a very sleepy day today, I keep nodding off! Hope I manage to sleep well tonight.
Hope everyone has had a good day.
Take care and enjoy your weekend.
    Hugs Brenda xxx

  6. Hello, lovely cards for us to get inspiration from, would love to be able to get my cards to look as good as yours.

I’m not sure I have background dies, will have to have a sort out to see what I have , if not I have corner dies that I could make into backgrounds.

Family are here for the weekend, so that’s lovely. They leave again on Sunday, so not long, seems to fly by.

I have a condenser type of tumble dryer, which you really need if you live in a rainy place like here. Usually try to get the most of them dry outside and then tumble dry them to finish, as we don’t have an airing cupboard.

Have a good night and a lovely Sunday. Lilian
