Your Challenge Cards

Good Sunday Morning Ladies,

I hope that you are all enjoying the weekend,  we have had some really unsettled weather this past couple of days, the different weather apps forecast different things so its just a case of opening the door at 7am and seeing if its cloudy or sunny. Friday was supposed to be a total wash out, with thunderstorms all day and night but we were laid out by the pool early afternoon and then went and sat on the beach in the sun. The thunderstorm started at around 6pm and it was an intense one, we had lightning all around us and the thunder was so loud.  This is normal though, we are surrounded by mountains which can cause erratic weather at times.  Yesterday and today are 'forecast' as good so fingers crossed.

Let's have a look at your amazing cards  .......

Brenda

Brenda's Description:

My challenge card I don’t think I’ll have to tell you much about it, you will recognise the colour is just Jade I had a few sheets in the mix pack of card I got from you and couldn’t resist using it. Diecut into the white card is a Tim Holtz, I think, and the spray on the right of the card is trimmed out part of a John next door die which is actually a frame. Behind the Just Jade card I have put some dark green mirror card just to add a little extra to the mount. I think I’ve managed to catch the light on it so you can actually see it’s dark green.

Brenda as you might expect I absolutely Love ❤  your card, I love how you have kept it simple to let the background die and that JL die cut shine, The just jade card works so well with the Dark Green Mirror card.
Thank you so much for taking part my lovely XXX

Janet

Janet's Description:

For my three Challenge cards this week I decided to use 'LABLANCHE KIT LILAC'. Everything on the three cards are all items from the one Kit.

Janet the beautiful LaBlanche kit you have used is stunning, I love those soft lavender shades, such beautiful imagery too, the die cuts you have used work so perfectly. You really do get your moneys worth out of those kits.
Thank Janet for supporting the challenge, I am so grateful XXX

Maria

Maria has made two fantastic cards for this weeks challenge,  despite feeling poorly and havibg to pack to go to York.
Christian gave Maria some of his die cuts (I think he has an electronic die cutting machine ). Both die cuts are beautiful Maria especially the intricate Mandala style one. They work so well with the blended background.
Thank you so much for making time to take part my lovely,  I hope you have a lovely time in York XXX

Karen

Karen's Description:

Card 1:
"Another inspired by Jo Rice I used Through the Meadows stamp and created a pen nib from a magazine stamp I used glossy accents instead of triple embossing and mounted the butterfly over black cotton"

Card 2:
This card is a Thank you card that Karen made for the girls next door for the lovely gift.

Card3:

3rd one is a Christmas card using a SueW die and the same paper from The Works paper pad

Thank you so much Karen for three incredible Challenge cards, you really have mastered the Jo Rice style, that card is STUNNING,   The other two are fantastic too, the Christmas card would be great for  batch making. Thank you so much my lovely XXX

Lilian

Lilian's Description:

Hi, here is my card for this week, shades of blue, an old sue wilson die and some tiny buttons. It’s much brighter in the hand.

Such a lovely card Lilian,  I could see the colour in the buttons, they work perfectly with that lovely shade of Blue, the linen effect card you have used gives a really expensive look to the card, I love the effect of the peel offs on the edge too!  Now I have a load of Pin Flair Flexi peel offs somewhere,  I wonder where they could be, I haven't used them since we moved! Thank you so much for a lovely inspirational Challenge card XXX

Sonia

Sonia's Description;

Card 1:

I can honestly say I don’t really have a favourite colour, but thought I’d share a couple of cards with one colour as the most prominent.

This card uses a LOTV image from one of the old art pads. The papers are from Prima Marketing (I think) and work really well with the Kraft card. The sentiment was from my stash.

Card 2:

The blue papers are from Anna Marie Designs, aswell as the wood effect paper. The flower die is Memory Box, and butterfly from Tim Holtz. The ‘grid’ panel die cut is Joy! Crafts and sentiment from LOTV.

Oh Sonia 😍 your cards a Stunning,  your first card is gorgeous,  yoy can't go wrong with a LOTV image,  the Prima papers you have used make it look like you have 100% made that background yourself!!

Now your second card confirms that Blue is a clise second to green for me, I love all the elements including that lovely grid die cut and the Memory Box flower die.

Thank you so much for two incredibly inspirational Challenge cards ❤ XXX

I managed to break my Platinum yesterday- it has been on the verge for a while - difficult to turn and making awful creaking noises Luckily I have an old Grand Calibur - boy what a difference No platform to leave plates on and having to turn the handle a million times to run it through So I’m on the lookout for a new machine

  5. Hello Sandra and ladies,

What a great selection of challenge cards, I can see that Blue is a popular choice (it’s my second favourite colour) but I’m with Sandra I LOVE green.

Sue hope Margaret is feeling more comfortable now she is back home. Just being with Pop and yourself will be a great tonic for her. Sorry to read how stressful the last days in hospital were for you all and the lengths you had to go to to get her home.

Sorry I haven’t been posting this week, I went to visit my sister on Tuesday I was the first visitor to visit and stay in the community since before lockdown. The welcome I had was amazing everyone was so cheerful and happy. It was a lovely visit and my sister she was also in great spirits, I think she had taken life easy in readiness for my visit!! The internet there is really poor, the building isn’t very old but I think the roof and framework are metal

I hope you are all having a lovely weekend. Love and hugs xxx
