My First Sparkle and shine challenge card

Good Morning Ladies,

We have a few cloudy days ahead of us so we have decided to go out and do a bit of site seeing, there are some beautiful towns and coastal villages around here so plenty to keep us busy.

Yesterday we booked a late lunch out at a local restaurant and went a got a bit of shopping and then went to a lovely little village for an ice cream on the beach.

Today's card is another using the gorgeous 'Impressions ' DSP from Stampin up! I cut this dheet into four to get the maximum out of it.  I love the way the greens mix together and combine perfectly with the gold foiling, this effect makes the paper collection so expensive looking, it literally looks like you have made a Alcohol ink background.

There is an accessory pack that goes with the papers, it features some lovely narrow gold frames and some foiled foliage, I used a combination of them to create my focal point, the sentiment I stamped in matching ink and placed on top of the foiled hexagon.

I hope that you all have a lovely day,

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra                                                                                xxxxxx

  1. Morning Everyone
    A very pretty card SANDRA.

I had a very busy morning yesterday in that I had to go back to the Optician to have my new frames looked at. The result is that I have to have a new frame. This to be delivered to the shop and my new lenses fitted. I have to say an afternoon of rest was needed.

A couple of birthday cards to be ready for posting and look for something for this week's CC.

The CAFE is OPEN ready and waiting for you all.
HUGS are winging their way to youall.PLEASE TAKE CARE AND STAY SAFE.xxxx

  2. Hello again - I forgot to say that while we were at the Opts Jim made his appointment for his check up 29th Sept and then new prescription will be needed. The pain has gone and he's coping really well. It's still really odd seeing him without glasses as He's always had them.
We are hoping to get to Marigny sometime towards the end of October so everything is crossed.Thank you all for asking after him. He reached the good old age of 80 yesterday too.
    HUGS etc xxxx

  3. Hello Sandra and ladies,

Sandra I LOVE this DS paper it just oozes quality, it is really the best ever, also the pink in the same pack is so beautiful. Fingers crossed Stampinup restock it soon. You card is beautiful, the emblishment gives a perfect balance to the design.

JANET fingers crossed you get to Marigny at the end of October. Lovely to hear Jim is doing so well. Sending him belated 80th Birthday wishes. 1941 was certainly a good year, I met two priests when I was in Loughborough last week, one is the local parish priest the other one lives in Rugby. They had been school pals and met up to share their respective 80th birthdays, I said to them it really was a good year as my husband had just celebrated his 80th a few weeks before, they both agreed.
    HAPPY BIRTHDAY JIM XX

Have a good day everyone, my first job today is to shampoo the upstairs carpets (you can tell I’m champing at the bit to get going, can’t you) then if I have any energy left I will potter in the garden - but that’s a labour of love.
Whatever you do have a good day. xxx

  4. Hi Sandra and all in the Cafe today. This is a beautiful card, the backing paper is gorgeous isn’t it. It’s good to hear you are going to do a bit if sightseeing. We like to get away from the touristy places and I’m sure you are the same. It is so interesting to see some of the “real” country isn’t it xx
Lilian, thinking of you waiting for your die Eric test result. Type two is often controlled by a change of diet so try not to worry too much about it xx
Janet, please pass on belated 80th birthday wishes toJim. Pop turned 80 in July too. It’s good to hear Jim’s eye is sorted. Fingers crossed you get to visit Marigny this year xx
I hope you are all enjoying the beautiful clear blue sky we have today. Sending love and hugs to you all with extras for all in need. Take care xx

Hope you’re enjoying the sightseeing Sandra.
    Very hot again here today.

  7. Hi ladies.
Gorgeous card Sandra. Hope you had a lovely time exploring the area. I always want to go off the beaten track to see/look around and not just stay with the tourists.
Janet , hope your new glasses be alright. Happy birthday to Jim, hope he enjoyed his day.
Back home so washing has been on line and it didn't take more then 30 minutes to dry. In some ways we were lucky this heat was not during our trip for we hadn't been able to do all the walking. I liked it today tho.
Sending hugs to you all. Maria x
