Karen's Amazing Birthday Card for Oscar

Good Morning Ladies,

I hope that you are all well, we have had a big change in the weather, it rained pretty much all day yesterday,  to be honest the ground really needs it, we have huge cracks appearing in the ground around the seed/potting house and veg plot, it will save watering all of the strawberries and raspberries too.

As it happened I wouldn't have been able to get out and enjoy the sun anyway as I cannot get off the bed unaided! My knee is still incredibly painful and swollen, I am hoping that a full day of resting it and having it elevated will help it recover,  if not I will call 111 and ask for advice, I really don't want to go to the hospital if I can avoid  it.  I couldn’t even vare putting loose clothes on yesterday either. I needed full assistance to get to the bathroom too, which is going to be an issue today as Paul is working and leaving a couple of hours early as he is finally getting his hair cut, it will be his first cut since last July !!! Lucy is working too and Sophie is at Lewis's,  so it will be long and frustrating day.  Wish me luck!!

I was unable to get to my craft desk yesterday as you can imagine,  I did suggest it but Paul just gave me "the look"!!

I have got an absolutely amazing card to share with you today,  Our Karen had used her Karen Burniston die set to create an incredible 5th Birthday card, with the Paw Patrol theme. This card is just 'pawfect' for a 5 year old, its so bright and cheerful which will instantly attract Oscar to want to pick it up and open it and when he does....wow he will be over the moon, I would love to see his face as he recognises the characters that you have ingeniously included in that beautiful bright and eye catching pop up display! 🤩😍

Karen's Description:

"I thought you might like to see Oscar’s Birthday card He loves Paw Patrol

I googled the images and took them into Serif adjust etc and used my Karen Burniston photo collage die set"

Thank you so much Karen for sharing Oscar's amazing card with us, where on earth did those 5 years go???!! XXX

I hope that you all have a lovely day,

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra                                                                                  xxxxxx

  2. Morning ladies,

Beautiful card for Oscar, Karen, I can't believe he is 5 already

Very dull day and cold yesterday as late Wednesday night in bed I could hear the gentle pitter pat of rain drops as they came across the field onto the grass, which then got stronger and stronger as the raincloud came directly overhead and poured down so fast and hard they made a drumming sound as they hit the decking, patio slabs and rooftop tiles. Must have lasted for a good half hour before the cloud passed across the road.

Woke up with a strange pain in my left eye so rang surgery for an appointment and got an emergency one in ASIC at East Quay Bridgwater clinic where the optician did a very thorough examination. Result is the tear glands are blocked so treatment is a warm wet towel to the eye to loosen and help drain the gunk out.

This morning is spent getting the recycle bins ready for tomorrow's collection. They have changed the time they start work, it's now 6am to be out not 7am. They come very promptly making hardly any noise to disturb the late sleepers.

    Love 7 hugs

  3. Thank you for sharing Oscar’s card Be loved it and pointed out all of the characters If you look closely there is one of him and he kept saying “that’s me!”
I thoroughly enjoy making these and if anyone wants the mechanism cut to have a go Let me know on Messenger
OH is working today So I hope to craft this afternoon I really must stop slobbing in front of the television and resorting to crochet!
I really hope your knee is less painful today
Sending hugs to you Lynda Margaret and Maria x

  4. Hi Sandra & ladies
I love the card you made for Oscar Karen. It’s hard to believe that he’s 5 already.
Great card from you as well yesterday Brenda.
Hope your knee improves Sandra. Didn’t you have that trouble awhile back as well.,
We had rain most of yesterday. But I did meet Amy for lunch at a place called the HumbleBumble cafe in Brize Norton. It has an outdoor seating area and it’s under cover. Mind you it wasn’t very warm. We had lunch then went to Bampton Garden Ctr. Then went to Aston Pottery. Seemed very odd going in our separate cars though.. they’ve started very odd shift patterns at BMW. She started work nights Sun - Tues, then has Wed - Fri off. At least she has Matty to keep her company on the drive in every night.
Looks quite sunny out but looks chilly again.

Karen, i can just imagine Oscars face on opening his fabulous card. And what a great idea of putting a picture of him in there too 😀xx
Cheryl, I wish our bin men were quite. Luckily they don’t get to us before 9.30am but they do make a lot of noise banging the wheelie bins around xx
Sending love to you all with extras for Sandra, Lynda, Mum, Maria, Lilian and all in need. Take care xx

  7. Hi everyone
Fabulous card Karen 😊 Such a lovely idea for Oscar.
Hope your knee is better today and you’re not struggling too much on your own xx
Maria, sorry to hear you’re not feeling too good, hope you manage to get to the hand clinic tomorrow xx
Rained all day here yesterday, but the lawns needed it. Thankfully dry and bright here today as they’ve come back to carry on with our garden. Having a small pergola in the corner and the borders done. It’s a slow process - and still not sure if the lawn (going Astro) and decking will be done yet, but it’ll be lovely when it’s all done.
Sending hugs to you all xxx
