Good Morning Ladies,
Thursday already, where did that week go? A mixed day weather wise but it was mostly sunny though, Paul went into work again so the day seemed quite long, Lucy and I decided to go to Ikea in Reading early afternoon, I was a little apprehensive as I thought it was going to be ridiculously busy, it actually wasn't, apart from there being a bit of a bottle neck at the checkout, the shop was very well organised with lots of hand sanitisation places. I'm yet to visit Ikea without being surprised how much we spent at the checkout, all of those little bits and pieces soon add up, a bit like craft shopping! 🤣😂🤣
Today's card is a 'Throwback' card that works well for this weeks challenge.
I hope that you all have a good day
Here is the description:
Onto today's card, I had the most enjoyable afternoon on Monday playing with inks, spritzing them, watercolour washing then, heat embossing, I did a bit of stamping too, the set I used is called 'Awesomely Artistic' (I wish I was) lol, 🤣😂
Morning Ladies
ReplyDeleteSandra-what a lovely card & it fits the challenge perfectly.
Your shopping trip sounds interesting-I haven’t been to IKEA fir about 20 years. I think I went with my crazy friend as it’s not somewhere hubby will go.
I have a couple of online meetings today & Ned to do someone’s 6 month review so hopefully not too crazy busy. . Tesco shopping after work then I can relax.
Michele
Lovely card for throwback and fits the challenge beautifully
ReplyDeleteI’m glad the trip to Ikea went well It does you good to visit somewhere other than a supermarket I haven’t been to one in years but can remember buying a heck of a lot more than we intended to We did buy a unit online recently I did a bit of crafting yesterday afternoon and this afternoon I am going for a walk with a friend who I haven’t seen in over 6 months It’ll be great to catchup
Take care all x
Hi Sandra & ladies
ReplyDeleteLovely card today. Love the background colouring.
Well the window cleaner has just been so I have lovely clean windows outside.
Looks bright outside but also looks a bit windy. My friend rang me yesterday to see if we can meet up again at Yarnton. I’m waiting for a phone call re my 2nd Covid jab so I said I’d ring her after I’ve seen what’s what. I’m not to sure if they’ve got outside seating either.
Take care & stay safe everyone.
Hello, fine but chilly wind.
ReplyDeleteSandra great card, I have those background stamps, but never used them, now I have seen what you have done with yours might have another look.
Have a good day all, Lilian
Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Sandra ,love your background and I also love dragonflies.
Would love to go back to IKEA as it was one of our walks before lockdown, had a small breakfast there before walking back 😊 sometimes we also did bring back a thing or two as long they fitted in the rucksack 😄
It's a cold wind outside today but we just got back from a good walk which took us over to Dobbies way,we didn't go in but hoping when the restaurant is back and running we can do a visit or over to Frost again would be nice. Really looking forward when things are back to more normality.
Have any of you seen that the Craftshows in places are going ahead this summer and winter ? Very tempting to go but also apprehensive so probably won't do it.
Have a nice day everyone and stay safe. Many hugs Maria xxx
Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card and great colour combo.
Sounds like you had a nice trip out to IKEA with Lucy.
Back to work today, and so busy! Doesn’t feel as if I’ve had some time off!
Hope you’re all having a good day. Sending hugs to you all xxx
Hello Sandra and ladies,
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely background you have created for today’s great card.
What a treat you had going to Ikea with Lucy. It is difficult to go there and not visit the market place, there are always items that we NEED or have to top up what we have!
Today we went to get our hair cut. It’s lovely to feel ‘tidy’ again, had a grea catch up even though we have been in telephone contact almost weekly. I also had to have an INR test today, it has improved in the last week but still need to have another test next week.
By the time we returned home I was very tired, John made me a cup of tea, I fell asleep before I had finished it. So not a lot done today at home.
Take care everyone, love Brenda xxx
