I hope that you are all feeling well and are looking forward to the weekend, we haven't really noticed the difference with the new 'rules' so far as Becca and Matt have been too busy working, I am missing my two girls today though as they are both back at work for the first time since last year, so it will be very quiet here, Paul is going into work too so it will just be me here all on my own, not something I enjoy as you all know. The one thing that I am looking forward to most is being able to have Sue & Pat over to craft, I have missed our weekly meet ups so much, the other thing that I am really looking forward to is having our Watford meet ups again, I am seriously looking into trying to organise a bigger get together too. There are some of you that I have wanted to meet for years!
Your Next Challenge
I mentioned the idea for this weeks challenge a couple of weeks back after looking at some of our 'Throwback' cards, so I wanted to organise it before too many weeks passed and I forgot!
So for our next challenge I would love you all to make a card featuring A Sue Wilson Die/Stamp/Embossing Folder
It could feature all of the above or just one, I am pretty sure that all of us have at least a SW flower die or an embossing folder somewhere in our stash.
All you need to do is include something from that Sue designed it could even be pearl swirls or Stick pins, remember those!!! Sue has designed a variety of crafty items over the years, as I was looking back yesterday I had actually forgotten how much I loved using all the collections together, I look back at some cards and think ''oh what was I thinking'' but pretty much all of my old SW cards look okay today, they haven't really dated that much at all.
I have searched right back to 2015/16 and found cards from most of us that feature something from Sue's vast range, I had a lovely hour or so looking back, you all made stunning cards with different collections, there are a couple of the old dies I would still like to have in my collection,
Morning Ladies
ReplyDeleteGreat challenge for us next week, so many options especially if we can make a “Sue Wilson inspired “ card which will be perfect for anyone who hasn’t got any SW products.
Busy day yesterday but quite productive. I’m hoping to catch up with more today if we’re not too busy.
Looking forward to spending some time in my craft room tomorrow & starting my challenge card.
Michele
Morning Everyone
ReplyDeleteWOW Sue Wilson dies/efolders. These were the very first dies I ever bought!I shall definitely have to dig deep to find them.
Cannot believe that it's 'swear' word day again.I really do think that 'dobbie' takes some of the days away between Monday/Friday.lol.
The sun is shining but if it's like yesterday it's still bitterly cold outside.
The CAFE is OPEN so pop in when you can.HUGS are on their way to you all with extras for all Dear Friends feeling a little on the frail side.PLEASE TAKE CARE AND STAY SAFE.xxxx
Beautiful cards showcasing the next challenge I do have quite a few Sue W dies She was the only designer that I knew of when I first started crafting
ReplyDeleteMy favourite... is probably the Shadow box and New Additions set They’re my go to for a new baby card
The walk with my friend yesterday was lovely The long gap in between seeing each other just melted away
I am looking forward to a Watford meet up too
Having hair done this afternoon Yay! I can’t wait
Take care all xx
Hi Sandra & ladies
ReplyDeleteGreat challenge Sandra. I think I have some Sue Wilson dies cut out as ell somewhere. I rang up about my Covid jab yesterday afternoon. So it was done at 4.30 yesterday afternoon. No after effects whatsoever. I have the dentist soon I’m so no looking forward to that. Haircut one Monday. I’m not rushing to get out at the moment, although we have very very low rates of Covid in West Oxfordshire 14 only at the moment.
Take care everyone and stay safe.
Hi Sandra and everyone in the cafe' today.
ReplyDeleteStill lovely cards and yes I have quiet a few of her dies, some stamps and EF's.
So wish I had my own room so I could spread it all out and give it a good sorting out, hmm one day.....
Didn't go for a walk this morning. We started to clear out some boxes after OH step-mum, photos and letters etc. There are 100's of photos of OH's Dad, he was a real poser in his days 😏
Enjoy the hair cuts ladies ! 😊
Have a nice day everyone and many hugs are sent for you all xxx
Hi Sandra and all in the Cafe today. Great cards yesterday and also today’s SW inspired ones. I’d like to meet someone who has been crafting for at least 5 years that doesn’t have a minimum of one item from SW. We did like to die cut lots of each other’s dues but often didn’t use them in the end. I hope today hasn’t been too long for you my lovely. Glad you and Lucy had a nice visit to IKEA. We have the same problem with picking up more than expected as they always have some useful things that end up in our trolleys. My excuse is that we only visit once or twice a year so might just as well make it a worthwhile visit 🤣
ReplyDeleteSending love and hugs to you all with extras for Lynda, Mum and all in need. Take care xx
Hello , it’s been another lovely sunny day, but o so cold. Went out too sit to have my afternoon cup of tea, didn’t stay out for long.
ReplyDeleteSandra love your sample cards, didn’t think I had that many S W dies until I checked. First ones I bought were spellbinder scalloped circles.
Still struggling with list weeks card will have another go in the morning.
Hope you are keeping well. Lilian
Hello Sandra and ladies,
ReplyDeleteLovely inspiration cards for the next challenge, I’m still trying to complete something for this weeks challenge, life has been getting in the way. I’m not complaining because today I thought I would be able to make a card, had a call from daughter (she is on school holidays) can she and grandson pop over for a visit. It was so lovely to see them both we both enjoyed, but them we always do spending time with.
Sleep well. Love and hugs, Brenda xxx
