A pretty floral card die only card

Good Morning Ladies,

I hope that you are all well and managing to stay warm, as I write this blog the current snow flurry is settling in different places around the garden which seems so strange bearing in mind we were in T shirts in the garden on Friday and Saturday,  it wasn't as warm on Sunday but we still managed to be out in the garden, today was freezing and it has snowed on and off all day.

So the best place to be was inside in the warm, I sat and played with different things in my craft room, after a couple of hours I hadn't created anything just a pile of bits, so I decided to use some of my pile of 'bits' with my new Phil Martin Diamond Dies (plus a phil Martin Rectangle for the back of the card).

I started by die cutting the Diamond dies in White and Gold Mirror card and layered the together, I placed the largest Diamond onto double height foam pads so that I had room to tuck all my flowers and foliage behind.   I stamped all of the flowers abd leaves with Distress Oxides  'Peacock Feathers, Picked Raspberry,  Cracked Pistachio' and die cut them, I also added some gold die cuts and arranged them behind that large Diamond. I then die cut two sets of the sentiment and adhered them together so that it stood out more, I added a little Picked Raspberry around the edges.

I know its a different look but I quite like it, I hope you do too, I will say that not stamping feels strange though.

Stay wrapped up warm my lovelies,

Sending Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra                                                                                xxxxxx

Gorgeous card Sandra, great that there’s so may diecut layers to it.

I couldn’t believe how cold it was yesterday-we had hailstones then snow.
My arm is aching/throbbing where I had my vaccine plus I feel a bit stiff this morning but otherwise ok. The clinic was very busy and I was glad to handover to my colleague at 5pm.

  4. Hi Sandra & ladies
A lovely card Sandra. Like your new dies. Well I’m assuming they’re new.
No one having Covid jabs yesterday at the Drs. I was quite surprised. Hope your arm feels a bit better later today Michele. Just had a phone call from Phil my window cleaner to let me know that he’s still about as he was late coming round. Only he had to have surgery as a tooth the dentist was trying to take out broke . Sounds painful. So he’s had a month off.
We also had snow flurries yesterday and was bitterly cold even though the sun was out. Think frost today and bitterly cold but no sun to take the chill off.
    Take care & stay safe.

  5. Hello All, it’s winter again, gusty wind and freezing cold. Heating on again.

Love those loopy die cuts you have used. The card is lovely. Like you I can’t think of card making without stamping, always my go to.

Hope you all have a good day, hugs to all, Lilian

  6. Hi everyone
A gorgeous card today, I love it 😊
Mad panic last night as I realised my MOT was overdue, fortunately managed to book for this morning. It passed and I’m now back home in the warm. Blimey it’s so cold out there! A very hard frost this morning, which has now killed off the remaining blossom on our tree. Such a shame as it was doing really well this year and the longest it’s ever lasted.
Have a good day, stay warm. Sending hugs to you all xxx

  8. Hello Sandra ladies,
What a beautiful card Sandra, I love your new Phil Martin triangles and square dies They have created such a lovely frame for your design.

Like everyone else I was so cold yesterday even with the heating on I think I must have been out of sorts because in the afternoon I felt so rough I sat down with a blanket and was still chilly. Needless to say OH said he was lovely and warm. Anyway I’m pleased to say although it’s still chilly today I feel a bit more perky, Now other half has gone up the garden to his shed, he’s wrapped up with a scarf and a jacket so that’s telling me it really is cold outside.

Maria hope you are not coming down with something, keep warm and snug under your covers. xx

Sonia, pleased your car passed its MOT xx

Enjoy your day ladies whatever you are doing.
    Love and hugs, Brenda xxx

  9. Hi Sandra and all in the Cafe today. A stunning card today. I love how the loopy dies cut in gold bake it look so elegant, as diamond shapes always do to m to for some reason. Love the pinks and greens, they add lovely splashes of colours.
You will feel so strange when Paul and the girls start back to work. But I will be courting down the days until we can see each other again as it can’t come soon enough for me my lovely xx
It really is cold out isn’t it. We had hail/snow flurries on and off all day yesterday and some lighter snow flurries today but nothing to show for them after a few minutes of them stopping each time. I can only hope it decides to warm up again very soon.
Brenda, when Pop puts trousers instead of shorts on to go outside on you know it is cold out so your comment about John wrapping up to go to his shed made me smile. It also made me think of my Grandads shed when it was cold out and the wonderful mix of different lovely smells that were always in there. Some you could name but others were just that “shed” smell that I bet at least some of you remember. A lovely little trip down memory lane for me 🥰 Stay snug and warm everyone. Sending love and hugs to you all with extras for Lynda, Mum and all in need. Take care xx
