Another Card-I-O card

Good Morning Ladies,

I hope that you are all well, I keep losing track of the days, Paul is probably fed up of me asking, even he has to work it out!

Sue came up with a 'Mini Challenge' just for fun......

If you were being sent to a Desert Island what 5 Craft Tools/Things would you take with you??
Save your answer for Saturdays Blog, you can send them to me and I will post them.

The Draw for the Easter/Spring card swap:

Janet - Pat

Michele- Sue

Karen - Sonia

Brenda - Maria

Lilian - Sandra

I made today's card yesterday, I really enjoyed making Wednesday's card so thought I would have another play. I didn't do any colour blending on this card, I just stamped with 1st, 2nd and 3rd Generation ink to fill in any white areas, I also decided to use the Swing and those adorable little mice, I found a stamp set that has a couple of nice sentiments on them and chose this one as it would work well for sending to my Mum, I have been sending a card everytime I have written to her.
I mounted the finished piece onto a tiny black matt and then onto a lilac card base as I though it highlighted the lilac in the stamped flowers.

Lucy was a little bit bored yesterday afternoon and decided that she would like to make a cake, luckily we always have baking ingredients in the pantry, so she had a rummage around and decided to make a Coffee & Walnut cake, she actually didn't make too much mess making the cake and the Aga baked it really nicely, making the Coffee Buttercream was a different story though, there was a thin white dusting over half of the kitchen, it tastes divine and is lovely and moist, you only need a thin piece though as it's very rich with that lovely Coffee Buttercream.  I have to say that I really enjoy this kind of activity as you have the fun of making it and the added benefit of eating it too.

I hope that you all have a lovely day,

Love and hugs to all,

Sandra

Sandra-gorgeous Card. Thanks for organising the swap names.

Sue-great idea fir the 5 items. I’ll struggle to keep it to just 5!

Lucy-your cake looks delicious (not that I like Coffee + walnut).

Early visit as I’m off to Tesco to do some shopping before work.

Beautiful card SANDRA with lovely colours.

Thank you for the swap names.I'm looking forward to it.

LUCY-your cake just looks far too good to eat. Those flavours were Mum's special when making cakes.

I had an off day yesterday nothing extra health wise just that like many of us I just couldn't get into my head the day and when I started to do something everything just went wrong. I'm so pleased that I'd finished my CC the day before as I really do not know what you would receive.

Anyway today is another day.The CAFE is OPEN and looking bright and cheerful waiting for all to pop in -new or old visitors.
The biscuit jar has beenfilled and there's scones too.

HUGS are winging their way to you all. PLEASE TAKE CARE AND STAY SAFE xxxx

I had a frustrating day yesterday Work was chaotic and I was steaming ahead on a cc when as I tried to take off some low tack tape it completely tore the card - so annoying and I think it’s the first time ever I’ve managed to do it Grubby marks - yes (removes with an adhesive rubber) but not tears
Off to the dining room now to start work
Take care Save a scone for me please xx

    1. Karen that’s so frustrating, I’ve had the same happen on a couple of occasions recently, even tried a different brand of low tack tape in the end I blamed the card! Hope work has been better today. xx

    2. It’s happened to me as well Karen. So frustrating. Ronk Langton had a different one at our last workshop. A blue masking tape from B & Q. How’re, when I went in to get some they no longer sell it.

  4. Morning ladies,

A short note today to say my father died yesterday afternoon. He had prostrate and bone cancer so I hope that it was these factors and not the damned Coivd-19 which hastened his demise. The prognosis from when he went into the BRI on the 1st March was progressive bone cancer.
My son Robin only spoke to him just before lunchtime yesterday and reported he was quite chipper.
    Love 7 hugs

Sandra your card is beautiful I absolutely love it. I’m sure this will help brighten up your mums day. Lucy your cake looks really delicious - I bet there’s not much of it left today. 😉
Must try and get on with my Easter cards and this weeks challenge card as well, the days have been such a blur, i don’t know where the time has gone, I know I’ve been trying to keep up with friends and family but the days just seem to fly by, I suppose in these times that’s not a bad thing - is it?
Take care and look after each other, love Brenda xxx

I have done the same as you Karen with tapes that are extra sticky and rip the card, so frustrating. 5 crafting things to take with me to a desert island, hmmmm that wont be easy.....

  8. Hi Sandra & ladies
Lovely card today Sandra. And aren’t those mice cute.
Lovely cake as well. I bet it tasted as lovely as it looks.
Well I’ve been trying to do one of the patterns that Ronk Langton showed on Groovi Worldwide. It was the easier one Sandra if you’ve seen them. I have one more corner bit but in the middle still to do. But I’ve still gone wrong. I find it quite difficult to do a mirror image but backwards on my parchment. So I’m undecided whether to make a couple of butterflies or flowers to cover it up. Or leave it how it is. I’ll see what it looks like when I’ve finished.
A sunny is here day here today but still very chilly.
