Another 'Festive' Friday card

Good Friday Morning Ladies,

Yes, despite what I said about last weeks card being the last of the Christmas cards I have needed to make a few more. Mind you I was pleased because I found this DSP that I had forgotten about, its called 'Festive Farmhouse' and features all of the traditional Christmas colours, the Stampin'Up! Colours featured here are Mossy Meadow and Cherry Cobbler, two absolutely gorgeous colours that have teamed with Very Vanilla and Gold. My background features a piece of the Festive Farmhousr dsp, I paired it with a piece of Mossy Meadow card that I embossed with the 'Tin Tile' Embossing folder, it has an almost Moroccan style pattern to it, I covered the join with a piece of Gold Foil edged Very Vanilla ribbon.
The sentiment I have stamped in Mossy Meadow and embossed is from the 'Merry Christmas to All' Bundle and reads 'May the Beauty of the Season Fill your Heart with Joy' . Such a lovely sentiment, I die cut it with an Oval Layering Die and backed it with a scalloped oval die cut in Gold Mirror card to match the gold on the ribbon.
I added some little 'Sprigs' of greenery using the 'Sprig' punch, I added three little faceted gems that I had coloured with my Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blend to look like berries.
I tied a bow with the same ribbon and popped it at the tod of the join, I topped that with another Cherry Cobbler Gem, the last finishing touch was to add some tiny gems to the centre of the embossed flowers down the side of the card.
I do hope you like the card. xx

I have to share a funny story with you, way back in October when Sue and I had our 4 hour visit to the Range I spotted some really cute little 'Festive Robin's they are wearing woolly hats with pom poms on, so adorable!! I thought they would look lovely as Christmas Decorations but also as little decorations to put beside my cards for photographs etc.  Well I had all but forgotten about them until yesterday afternoon when I was about to photograph todays card, so I went off to fetch one of them to use as a prop.  All I can say is that he/she isn't very 'photogenic' !  I will add a photo of him below.....

I positioned him next to the card and took a few shots, when I looked them I about had a 'tena' moment, it absolutely had me in hysterics, he looks so bloomin' angry!!  I would go as far to say he looks 'fierce'!  I literally had tears rolling down my cheeks, I think that she is going to be known as
'Riled Robin'  from now on.
I think the problem is that her eyes are too small, actually my Mum-in-Law always says you can't trust people with small eyes.

Now, I never updated you on 'Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald ', it was a great film that was tied a lot more to the 'Harry Potter' stories, it featured a young Dumbledore who was played by Jude Law, it's quite a 'busy' story line with a HUGE twist at the end.!! 😲

Sending soft squishy hugs to all of you that need one,

Lots of love too,

  1. Morning Everyone
from yet another rain soaked Sheffield. When is the rain going to stop. It's so depressing.

SANDRA- a very pretty card but I love your Robin. Yes I really do.

As it's Friday of course that means it that 'swear' word day and I've a load of things I need to do today one being getting my CC sent off so I must get a wriggle on and start.

The CAFE is OPEn USUAL HOURS. I think from tomorrow it may look a little festive.
HUGS are on their way to you all with loads of extras for Dear Friends who are in need of them. Take care and stay safe.xxxx

  2. Morning Ladies

Another fantastic card Sandra, it’s lovely.
The Robin does look very angry-perhaps you could give him a makeover?!

I’m looking forward to seeing Fantastic Beasts-hopefully on Tuesday evening with my crazy friend.

  3. Hi everyone,
Very lovely card Sandra in proper Christmas colours. Yes, your robin does look a bit miffed about something, maybe it's having to wear a hat? He's very cute anyway.

Off to Craft Club this morning yeh. I'm taking a cushion with me to sit on as the seat are so hard.

Sending warm hugs to all especially for Pat, Pete and Lilian and anyone not feeling so good today.

    Lots of love Valx

    1. Hi Val
Hope you enjoyed your craft club. I took a cushion with us to the Christmas concert in Hailey for Pete on Monday. The rest of us sat on our coats.

    2. I think these places should supply cushions, don't you?
Hope Pete feels well enough next week for you to pay a visit to Sandra. Hugs x

  4. A lovely card SANDRA I like the traditional colours In fact all of the cards I have received so far are in traditional colours...
We both really enjoyed the film last night
I hope everyone is getting along OK and let’s be careful out there xxxx

  5. Good morning everyone
Lovely card Sandra. I like your robin, really I do.

Going out for the day so the clearing up in the kitchens craft section will have to wait, oh what a shame Lol
Raining here too and it don't seem to stop any time soon.
Hugs to all, extras especially to Pat, Lilian and anyone else not too well.

  6. Hi Sandra and all in the Cafe today. A lovely card today with a gorgeous ef. The Stampin’Up ones are so deep aren’t they.
I saw yesterday’s card in the making on Wednesday and love that gorgeous detailed stamp. I had to laugh at your angry robin. It actually looks really cute “in the flesh” though.
I hope you all have a good day and weekend. I’m spending today with Mum out and about. Neither of us have too many presents still to get so hopefully by the end of next Friday we will be done and dusted. I’m still ploughing through my cards and hoping to get them finished over the weekend fingers crossed ! Sending love and hugs to you all with extras for all in need. Take care xx

  7. Hi Sandra and ladies
Lovely card today and your Robin sure looks cross.
Well I found some cards that I started last year and never got around to finishing them. I think I cut them out at Sandra’s. However,I have no idea what I was going to put on them. So whenever I get over to Sandra’s perhaps on Wed if Pete’s ok I’ll have to ask her what on Earth I was going to do, if she can remember. I’m going to buy a box of cards I’ve decided to give cards to our neighbours. Sending my handmade ones to my crafty friends.
I really haven’t been in the mood for crafting. I also need a lightbulb changing in the living room, which I’ll have to get someone to do for me. I’m just to short to reach.

  10. Hello All, very wet day again.
Sorry for not being able to post, ipad been playing up again.

Sandra loved all the cards over the past few days, loved Sophie’s art work, wish great success.

Lynda and Val loved both of your cards, thank you. Not sure when I’ll get my cards done, been laid low with this terrible bug that’s going around.
Pat and Pete, my thoughts and hugs are with you both.
Hoping this will publish, hugs to all Lilian

  11. Hello Sandra and ladies,
Love your card Sandra, I agree that little Robin does seem to have an angry expression. Sorry I didn’t get in yesterday, John had an appointment at the Royal Marsden in Surrey, I went with him and afterwards did some shopping in Sutton, a shopping centre I enjoy going to - not so spreadout is Croydon. By the time we got home and I had made dinner and after spoke to my sister on the telephone for well over an hour I was so tired and fell asleep, still managing to sleep when I went to bed. Sorry I didn’t say I loved yesterday’s card the detail is amazing. xx
LILLIAN it’s lovely to see you back with us. Out internet has been playing up for a few weeks now. Don’t understand why, the internet signal seems to come and go in waves.
Had a very relaxing day, at last I feel my battery’s are recharging! Hope what ever you have been doing your day has been a good one.
    Love and hugs, Brenda xxx
