Good Sunday Morning ladies,

Oh my goodness, you ladies have just made my week, such a fantastic range of cards, you have all made such fantastic cards, I love them all.
Ciara's card is just so beautiful, it looks like a garden party, those cakes look so yummy Ciara, you are so clever, thank you for taking part in my challenge xxxx

Ladies I am so surprised at how many different categories this sketch has covered, from Jess's New Baby card to Janet, Michele and Maria's childrens birthday cards, Hazel's Thank you card, Margaret's Anniversary card, Sue and Val both made Christmas cards and Brenda's teen card, to Lilian, Karen M, Ciara and Lynda and Brenda H all made Birthday cards that are so versatile.  All for different things yet all have same basic sketch, its amazing, thank you all xxx

Chatted to Mum yesterday, it was so nice to hear her talk without gasping for breath, she says she keeps falling asleep but I explained that that is to be expected and it is better that she does sleep to let her body recover.  I have asked my sister to get mum some probiotic or live yoghurt as the very strong antibiotics she has been taking have made her mouth really sore, they do tend to strip your body of good bacteria too.

Matt's ewe and lambs are doing well on their first day, they are feeding nicely and mum is super protective here is a photo of them at just a few hours old, just so cute xxx

I will leave you with this picture of Springtime Cuteness

Love and hugs
Sandra

Oh what a beautiful site this morning on opening the Café Door and seeing the array of beautiful cards on the display board. I only wish I could be there in person to see them all close up and personal. I love everyone; they all are so different and bright and beautiful. Thank you Sandra for a fantastic sketch. What have you got for us this week?

The lambs are gorgeous and always make me smile. I'll never forget the first time I held a new born lamb. I don't know why but I always thought that their coats would be soft and cosy but oh no they are quite wirey but that doesn't take away their beautiful faces and fantastically long ears. I couldn't get hold of Christina yesterday so I suppose she would be down at the farm.

We had our Friday Pastries last night as I'd made Pasta and Garlic Bread for Friday and so after that delicate pastries just did not seem appropriate so we had a cold meal with pastries to follow.
Now there is a pastry here called a 'Langue' translated 'tongue'. It is choux pastry shaped like a tongue filled with Patisserie Cream and has green icing covering with choc sprinkles on one half. Jim loves this but I have to say it's the green icing that puts me off.
I had a rectangle of lemon gorgeousness - a thin layer of pastry for the base with a layer of vanilla mousse, then a layer of lemon mousse and then another layer of vanilla topped with a lemon glaze and to finish a thin square of dark choc. Hmmmm I can still taste it.

We have another dull day here and a forecast of rain for the next few days so it's going to be crafting for me unless of course someone else has other ideas! The veranda was painted yesterday so that's another Spring cleaning job done. I'm finding it difficult not being able to do the heavier jobs that need doing as I've always managed to do them somehow.

Have a good Sunday everyone and I hope the weather is kind to you all. Hugs have been despatched for all in need.

The dinner today is Salmon so I hope you all enjoy.

  5. Morning Ladies

Wonderful collection of cards, I love to see what everyone else has made. Bring on the next challenge...!!

Sandra-your decorated heart project has been featured on SetCrafts today, wonder if you will get any more visitors to the cafe?

Lilian-well done on being a comments winner on Sue's blog.

Thanks to a dose of Night Nurse, I managed to get some sleep last night & a feeling a bit better. Will do the minimum of chores today then have a play in my craft room I think. I have a couple of ideas floating in my head(although that could be due to my cold!) after seeing Sue on her first show. Hubby is going give watching the Grand Prix then motorbike racing today & he started sneezing last night-uh oh!!

Lovely to see your lambs Matt.
I did post yesterday but latest. But thank you ladies for all your good wishes for Doreen. She's doing very well, and the surgeon is talking about doing her other hip in a few days if she progresses well. She's not to sure about that, but I told her she might as well get it all over in one go.

    2. Pat, I saw your comment yesterday and left you a rely but will say again that I hope your hips aren't causing you too much pain. It would be good if Doreen gets the other hip done soon, as you say it's better to get them both done quickly. Hope you get some rest. Take care x

    3. Thanks Maria
We're not going up today, so that's will be my rest day, will make some cards whole Pete is watching formula 1. Must start the washing up soon, I'll do it as Pete has spent the morning on the garden. He's now fast asleep watching the wild life programme on the tele. That's him watching hit me.

    4. My hips not to bad Mrs B, thanks very much. Such a marked difference in treatment under the NHS than at the Manor which was private. Much better than private I must say. One lady had her hip replaced quickly as she has bone cancer and her hip socket collapsed. Mind you Pete didn't need to hear that as he starts thinking. Pete doesn't need to think. The hospital haven't rung through his medication yet. So Healthcare at home will have to chase it up on Monday. He starts to panic as hell only have 4 days left.

  17. Hi Sandra and all in the Cafe today. Blimey, where did the last week go, it only seems like yesterday that you were sharing those challenge cards with us! This weeks selection is just as varied, there really is no end to everyone's take on the sketch. Each one is beautiful, thank you for sharing them. Its good to hear that your Mum is on the mend, shame about her sore mouth, antibiotics do good but also cause annoying side affects don't they. Natural yoghurt is a good healer. I have some every day for breakfast with fruit, funny but I used to hate it but miss it now if I don't have it! I hope you are having a good day, care you still sorting your craft room? I will have a think about some sketches for you. Take care my lovely and all who pop into the cafe today. Hugs on the way to you all. Take care xx
