A new set of Thrinchies (Part 1)

Good Friday Morning Ladies,

I hope that you all manage to stay warm on what is forecast to be a very chilly day!

My creativity took a big hit after the mammoth task of those invitations,  so I sat at my desk for a good hour or two yesterday morning, trying to summon sum enthusiasm to create,  the first thing I did was to get rid of every trace of wedding invitations!  So after a bit of googling I decided to get my Tracey Evans stamps out, both new and from the Aall&Create days.

Now I had to get creative with the stamps I used as I don't have all of Tracey's new stamp line, I delved back into my Aall&Create stamps and found alternatives to those I didn't have.  They are in sets of two style wise,  I loved the colours of these ones so that was my starting point.

I masked off a circle on my 3 x 3 card and took Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade,  Candied Apple and Seedless Preserve Distress Oxide inks and blended them into my circle,  I then took a selection of stamps and created the little scene.  I took a little sponge ink applicator and blotted an area around birds head, just using water, I added a few drops of water and blotted that away and finished with some white splats.

I will share part 2 tomorrow!

I hope that you all have a good Friday,

Love & hugs to all,

Sandra xxx

  1. Hello, lovely blue sky, but bitterly old , so I shall be staying indoors.
Sorry I missed yesterday, I just don’t know where the days go, because I don’t sleep at night much I tend to fall asleep after lunch, no matter how hard I try not to.

Loved Sonia’s card yesterday, so pretty and delicate.
Great that you have managed to finish your wedding invitations, exciting times ahead.
Another blood test yesterday, no sooner they do one lot then it’s time for something different.
Brenda lovely to hear your good news yesterday.
Well I’m off to do some ironing, at least that a warm job.
Have a good day all , Lilian

  2. Hi everyone
I love your Thrinchie and the colour combo 😍
Well, what a miserable cold, wet day it is here today. That wind is bitter.
I’m glad to be home from work, in the warm and in my fleecy pyjamas ☺️ I won’t be venturing out again tonight!
Hope you’re all having a good day and staying warm 🥰
Sending hugs to you all xxx

  3. Shoot I just lost a message 🙄. Hi everyone
    Love your thrinchie. Wonderful colours.
Is the black frame or the white frame the
3" x 3" ? Was Tracey working for AA LL before ? I will look for her stamps but the ones I seen are a bit much at the moment.
Haven't had a good day, in lot of pain, blaming the weather. Mum not doing too well and my step sister going in for an operation after they found something on her down below so my mind is not on card making, sorry but I have done a crystal work this week so will send it to you later Sandra 😊
Sending many warm hugs to you all, take care. Maria xxx

  4. Lovely card the colour combo is so vibrant Sandra, i love it.
Trying my best to keep warm, the heating is on but I'm still wrapped up on the sofa with a blanket on my legs.
We went food shopping this morning so whatever the weather decides to do we are stocked up and won’t go hungry 😋
Can’t believe it’s Friday already the days seem to fly by hopefully the warmer days are around the corner and i can get out into the garden and potter around.
We haven’t anything planned for the weekend so anything will be a change.
Hope you are all safe and warm, take care, Big Hugs, Brenda xxx
