I hope that today finds you well, what are you all up to? We have lists of jobs that we need to get through, mostly holiday preparations, it's the little things that you have to remember, like packing decent knives, our own mugs ( as theirs aren't great and thinking about how many people have used them makes me cringe) actually that is a benefit of package holidays, you just take clothes, whereas I need to remember things like chopping boards as they provide one wooden one, but have people cut raw meat on it ? So best to take your own!
Let's have a look at what you made for our Embossing Folder/ Mask/Stencil challenge, I really enjoyed it . . .
Your Challenge Cards
Karen
Sonia
Sonia's Description:
On the anniversary card I used a heart embossing folder, and heart nesting dies (can’t remember the brands) I used the Lawn Fawn heart border die, and the numbers are from Memory Box.
The second card is for James Birthday. I used the happy birthday embossing folder and The Stamp Market die. The star die cuts are from my stash. I used a strip of acetate to attach the ‘21’ as a hanging embellishment.
I love both of your cards Sonia, anniversary card so perfect, that row of hearts is lovely 😍 I wish I had seen your card for James earlier as I could have done something similar for Matt, he is 30 on 24th, I ended up buying one as I couldn't decide on a style. Your card is perfect for a male 21st, or any age really, thank you so much for the inspiration my lovely XXX
Lilian
Maria
Thank you ladies for taking part Your cards are beautiful
ReplyDeleteYou have shown me that I need to be more adventurous with EF’s and stencils
Good luck with the packing SANDRA I know what you mean re the little things Mine is as daft as packing Sweetners! When we holidayed abroad when the kids were little you could not buy them anywhere and certainly no bars/cafes etc had them Anything you do forget could be insignificant (we tend to remember the important things) and if need be we can buy it (unless you’re in Cuba 🤣)
The concert was great last night Listening to an orchestra and rock band play Queen music outside in the sunshine and then into the evening was amazing Everyone had taken chairs and picnics It was lovely There was even a proposal announced (she did say yes)
Tonight we’re back at same place to see Simply Red but no food/drink allowed this time apart from a small bottle of water!
Take care everyone I’m off to investigate that Happy Birthday EF that some of you have used

Hi everyone

Lilian, I have that stencil too and you’ve coloured it perfectly. They look beautiful 😊
Not long home from work, as had a colleague call in sick so I stayed on an extra hour. It wasn’t too busy though. I’m off tomorrow, so a day of catching up with the housework! Maybe I’ll get time to do a little crafting too.
Karen glad you enjoyed the concert last night and I hope tonight’s is as enjoyable too 😊
Hope you’re all having a good day.
Sending hugs to you all xxx
Hi Sandra and all in the Cafe today. Sorry I have missed the last few days. Haven’t got a clue where the time is going. Beautiful cards from you all. Sonia, the Happy Birthday from Stamp market is great. I think i will be ordering it soon. As usual I have my challenge card half finished so hope to finish it tonight!
ReplyDeleteSandra, I hope the meds are starting to help you by now my lovely. Thank goodness you spoke to a decent GP. Sad that he is leaving though. Typical isn’t it. I hope you find another decent one. I’m with you about taking certain kitchen equipment. The chopping boards supplied are one of my biggest no nos. We always take our own or buy two small cheap ones once there. As Karen said if you forget things you either make do without or buy when you arrive. I’m sure you will tick off those lists over the next few days. Just think this time next week you will be on your way 🥰
Karen it sounds like you are having a wonderful time. Hope Simply Red are good and you don’t get too hot xx
Maria how are you and R getting on with the walking each day? I hope you’re both ok xx
Sonia, hopefully you manage to get to craft after the usual boring housework xx
Janet. I hope you and Jim have a safe and easy journey then you can really relax xx
Brenda, I hope you are getting to relax in your garden. Fingers crossed Johns appointment tomorrow goes well ( I think I have got the day right. Sorry if I haven’t) sending you gentle hugs xx
Lilian. How is your back today. I wish it could get better. There’s nothing worse than constant pain is there. Gentle hugs for you xx
I have the evening to my self so I’m going to try and finish my challenge card.
Sending love and hugs to you all. Take care xx
