Good Monday Morning Ladies,
I hope that you all had an enjoyable weekend, ours just flew by, we got a good few jobs ticked off of the lists, the frustrating part now is that we have everything piled up waiting to be packed, I thought that there was going to be a lot of ironing etc to do but I was clearly very organised when we got home last year and washed and ironed a of our holiday clothes and put them into storage boxes, I opened the box over the weekend and they still smell freshly washed so thats one job I won't have to do.
I printed off our Covid passes and they last 6 months now instead of tje 1 month last year which is really useful as we had to re-do everything before we left to come home last time. I wonder if they are still checking them in every restaurant etc? I was surprised that they were refusing people to go into MacDonalds if they didn't show them!
I'm sure I'll think of more jobs as the week goes on, I have certainly added more to the 'remember to pack ' list, measuring spoons and a jug, we ended up trying to use water bottles as a measuring guide last time!
Today's card I made a couple weeks ago, I created a blended ink backgrounds, using distress ink on cello bags and smooshing, I dried it and then added more were needed. After I was happy with my background I stamped the Indigoblu Girl onto the background using Versafine Clair Black ink, I added clear embossing powder and heat set so that she stood out even more. To finish the card I added tiny diamantes to the flowers for some added sparkle. I love how this piece turned out π
I hope that you all have a lovely day, it's forecast to be warm again so please take it easy my lovelies,
Love and hugs to all of you,
Sandra xxx
Beautiful card SANDRA I love the background Using 3 colours really makes a huge difference
ReplyDeleteA measuring jug? You obviously do a hellava lot more cooking than I do in holiday π€£
The concert was brilliant At first the sound was a bit quiet where we were sat but moved closer to the front and it was great He still sounds amazing
I am not working today as we’re looking after Oscar We are going to take him to a park that has a “beach” and loads of play equipment He loves Fireman Sam at the moment so will probably spend most of his time coming down the fireman’s pole! We’re taking a picnic (that’s as far as my cooking skills go at the moment - it’s too hot to mess about Plus, the met office say to eat lots of cold foods in this weather as well as drink plenty
Take care whatever you’re up to
Anyone living in a hosepipe ban area yet? We’ve been officially told by letter to restrict our use of water
Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteA gorgeous card today. I love your background and the beautiful stamp π
Glad you’re getting through your ‘to do’ lists. If you’re anything like me, you’ll be double checking everything even when it’s packed π
I hope the antibiotics are starting to work, and you’re feeling a bit better xx
Karen, glad you enjoyed the concert last night. Have fun with Oscar today π
Housework to do here, then hopefully some crafting.
Have a lovely day everyone
Sending hugs to you all xxx
Evening Everyone
ReplyDeletefrom a very very sunny and extremely hot Marigny.
Everything went very easy in Dover. No long lines of waiting to get through customs The French only wanted to see our Covid Passes and Passports and then straight through to the English booth where we needed our Passports and Boarding cards.
We had a good night in Calais and started for Marigny early yesterday morning arriving early evening. We made extra stops on the way down for drinks as the temp was so high it really was uncomfortable despite doing everything we could with the cooling system.
We have had a quiet day today and the heat has not been too bad. We have yet to do a supermarket shop but will wait to see what the temps are tomorrow.
Hope everyone has had a good week-end and that everything goes well on Friday SANDRA. Loads of love and hugs to you all. Please take care and stay safe.xxxx

Hi Sandra and all in the Cafe today.
ReplyDeleteI saw you making this gorgeous card. I love the beautiful blended background, the glossy shine on the stamp and then those pretty tiny gems finish it off a treat. There is so much detail in the stamp. It seems like you see something different each time you look at it. I actually have this stamp but never made a card with it because at the time we didn’t have our stamp machines and I couldn’t get a good result. Now I must dig it out. If anyone wants some stamped I will happily send them to you.
Sandra are the meds starting to make you feel a bit better? I hope so. I’m glad you are ticking off things on your lists xx
Karen, I betOscar enjoyed his day out with you. Fireman Sam was always one of my favourites but none of ours or the grands were that keenπxx
Janet, I’m glad you and Jim had a good journey and can now relax xx
I have to finish some embossed cards that I started last night. I doubt if I will get much done on them tomorrow as we have Paige and Penny from 9am and Phoebe is here once she has finished helping the novices at the riding school. Some crafting will be done. Usually the girls look on Pinterest if they haven’t already decided what they want to do.
Stay cool and keep those fluids up. Sending love and hugs. Take care xx
