Good Morning Ladies,
I hope you all managed to get some sleep last night, it was very warm here. We have a busy couple of days here, yesterday car was serviced (£400 🥵) and today 2 new tyres (£300) !! The girls and I have haircut today too. There is something else toobut without my list at hand I have no idea what! 🙄 Rhe trouble is everything is so much harder in this heat.
I did manage 3 cards yesterday which I was pleased about, the craft room /Office was do hot and humid though, I had to keep taking a break.
Janet I am so pleased to hear that yout journey was smooth and straightforward (apart from heat), Air con is a life saver but it makes me really congested after a while so we just have it on to cool the car down and then switch it off. I imagine you both needed a day of rest, enjoy your shopping, I love browsing around the French Supermarkets there is so much choice and everything seems so much fresher than ours. Relax and enjoy your break my lovely XXX
Karen, the girls really love Paella and the area we go to grows its own Paella Rice, so we usually go and get some lovely fresh Mussels & Langostines and make our own with herbs and spices. So I always need to measure for stock etc, I measure my rice in jug too, it is a large jug so also doubles as the Sangria jug!!! We do eat at mobile more than we eat out, mostly because Paul prefers to eat there were he is relaxed, plus we couldn't afford to eat out every night. We had a lot of salads with lovely fresh baked bread, meals are simple and cooked mostly outside....
Today's card I made with one of my Distress Oxide blended backgrounds, after blending I placed the piece into the embossing folder and ran it through machine, after making sure if was dry I took a sanding block and gently sanded the raised areas lightly to reveal the white core and add some detail to the background, I added tiny diamantés to the flower centre and added a die cut sentiment to finish. I do love the colours on this one.
I hope that you all have a lovely day,
Love & Hugs to all,
Sandra xxxxxx
Morning Everyone
ReplyDeleteYesterday was another extremely hot day- Our Angel thermometer was showing 39plus so after doing the necessary shopping to see us through yesterday and today it was indoors with all the shutters closed and windows open behind them. I spent most of the afternoon laying on the bed (this bedroom faces north so in the afternoon it becomes my sancturary).
Just one or two tiny jobs to do this morning and then relaxing.
Hope you're all managing to cope with the heat. Please take care whether you're inside or out. HUGS winging their way to you all.xxxx
Morning everyone
ReplyDeleteA beautiful card Sandra. Gorgeous colours together.
Have not made any crafting for a few days. Feeling drained and achy so it will have to wait.
I wish you all a wonderful day. Many hugs xx
I love your card
ReplyDeleteI understand re the measuring jug now!🤣
Looking after Oscar was great fun We enjoyed the “beach” but left before 11It was getting soooo hot We made some rainbow biscuits in the afternoon They were only a Betty Crocker packet mix but were delicious I thought a packet mix would be easier to “play” with!
We might go up to the bowls club this afternoon but it’s so hot
Take care everyone xx

Hello, wow I hot, next door are having solar panels fitted, so a very noisy day. I do think they look rather ugly.
ReplyDeleteSandra love your card, such a pretty colour. Hope your feeling better and the holiday plans are going well.
Had an emergency app at the surgery, today as I had these liquid filled blister on my legs, saw a nurse practitioner, but she said they didn’t do anything with them, just keep an eye on them.
I hope you are all managing to keep cool, looks as though we might get some rain at the weekend, so that will be good.
I’ll say goodnight and I’ll see you all tomorrow. Lilian
