Bright & Cheerful Flower Challenge card

Good Monday Morning Ladies,

Wow what a wonderful weekend, glorious weather  both days, it makes you just wish the warmer days were here, having said that we have had 10° days in August before, so I guess we have to be grateful for every pleasant day we get !!

I did smile though as we popped out to get some compost, we just ended up getting some from Wilko's as Paul thought the Garden Centres would be ridiculously busy, driving past one on the way to Wilko we could see the traffic backed up to get into car park, so goid thinking on Paul's part, I know that he just didn't want to be having to push me around all of the little outlet shops inside garden centre too. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Anyway our Wilko is on a Retail park  (although most shops have closed down) bit the amount of people that were out in SHORTS & FLIP FLOPS, had us both in hysterics!!  I still had my vest top on under my polo neck, cardigan & scarf!!  I know we have to make the most of the sunshine but by 4pm it was bloomin freezing!  No doubt there were BBQ'S lit too.  It made us laugh anyways, that's never a bad thing!

I wanted something Bright & Beautiful to start our week of Flower themed cards.

I used a stamp set called Color & Contour by Stampin Up!  It's a 2 step stamp, first the outline then you add the colour to the flowers, I chose Magenta Madness, a bright vibrant pink, that I actually don't use very often as it can be a little bit too much. This design only uses little bits here and there so not too much.  I stamped the flower and sentiment and die cut, the base card I used was basic white matted with Magenta Madness,  then white with a narrow piece of Magenta Madness script patterned paper. (Phew that was a mouthful)! I added mounting foam to the back of my die cut stamped piece and placed it onto the base card, finishing with some matching dots.

I hope that you all have a good week,

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra                                                                              xxxxxx

  1. Morning Everyone
A very pretty cared SANDRA to start our week.

I want to wish everyone a VERY HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SPRING TODAY. So we can now look forward to bright days and extended daylight.

I have one or two jobs I really must do today so I'd better get a wriggle on and make a start though itwill be slow.

The CAFE is of course OPEN for all and today we have one or two vases of Daffs on the tables greeting us as we walk through the door.

  2. A beautiful CAS card which could be used for so many occasions and in lots of different colour ways
Going into London was lovely in the sunshine and although there were a lot of people not wearing a mask on public transport There was a hellava lot wearing masks AND it was the youngsters wearing them! The concert was great a bit like a mini last night at the proms- no cannons though!
We’re out dancing tonight so just done an LFT
Now back to work and a mountain of emails I expect
    Take care everyone xx
