Beautiful Butterfly

Good Morning Ladies,

As you read this we will be on our way to Devon, we are going to spend some time with Paul's Mum and then go and make aure we know exactly where to park for the funeral tomorrow,  Paul is going to drop us all off at the church and then go to his Mums to travel with her and his siblings behind the hearse, Paul's mum originally said that the ladies should all go in the funeral cars but I thinks its more fitting that the family go together, I am perfectly happy to wait with my girls and Matt.

Today's card is one I made on Sunday afternoon and I found sitting and watercolouring this butterfly and another that I will share on Thursday  so calming, I had gotten myself into a bit of a pickle getting stressed over not finding anything comfortable to wear to the funeral, to the point that I had a full on AF episode that lasted on and off for the rest of the day, I am the same for anything where there are lots of people and you have to dress for 'the Occasion'.

Anyway I used Pacific Point ink applied with a waterbrush, blending the ink out from the centre of the butterfly. After it was dry I cut it out and mounted it onto a Pacific Point mat, I wanted that beautiful butterfly 🦋 to shine so I used a plain white base card and a simple 'Thank you " stamped sentiment.

I hope that you all have a good day, I am looking forward to spending the evening with all of my babies,  I would 100% encourage any of you that are feeling stressed or feeling down or worried just sit and do a little colouring or simple card making, it really does help to busy your mind for a little while,  give it something else to focus on, I was surprised how quickly it calmed my mind.

Sending my love & hugs to all of you,

Sandra                                                                                xxxxxx

  2. Safe journey SANDRA and I hope it all goes as well as it can
I am exactly like you about dressing for the occasion But I know whatever you have chosen will be suitable
I think that’s why I enjoy just sitting and doing some knitting or crochet I find it so therapeutic It’s the same with dancing You have to focus on what you’re doing and if it’s something you enjoy it is calming
Not a lot planned for me I hope to at least start a cc Take care everyone

  3. Hi everyone
    Beautiful card Sandra.
Will be thinking of you all tomorrow. Drive safe.
Janet- enjoy the K & N today. Hope you got the same sunnier day as we have down here in Bucks.
My go to stress relive at the moment is more to the crystal art then card making but hoping to make some cc this week.
I did some cutting out yesterday but not happy. I have the dies to the stamps you see but after I cut it out it has too much of the white left which I don't like so I am sitting and re-cutting it by hand.
Waiting for OH to get ready so we can go out somewhere, need some D vitamins.
Lilian- hope you are ok , new meds can take some time to work but you shouldn't have to feel this poorly. Take care.
Sending extra hugs for our Brenda and Lynda. Have a good day as possible. Hugs Maria xx
