A Blue & Yellow Journal page

Good Morning Ladies,

Well yesterday was a wash out ! It rained from about 9am onwards,  it was torrential for most of the day, as we drove to the surgery to collect my prescription the river looked like it was about to burst it's banks once again, the fields are already full of water so it looks like we will have flood water hanging round for a while,  trouble is our roads don't drain off when all the fields are flooded, the surface water went across both sides of the road, which wouldn't be so much of a problem if the water wasn't covering cavernous potholes!!

I got three parcels returned, I have one to return to next and another is being collected by courier on Today,  Paul got my prescription too, so we did manage to tick a few jobs off the list!!

Did you all have a wet day too??

Today's Journal page was made using the Emboss Resist Technique using one of my new Ally Pally purchases a Woodware Stamp called 'Summer Weeds'. I stamped it onto watercolour card using Versafine and  added White Embossing powder and heat set. I spritzed the background and sprinkled on yellow and Prussian Blue Brushos, then spritzed a little more and popped on the Aga to dry, it dried quite quickly, I added a Pacific Point card mat onto my art journal and then added my dry artwork, to finish I added a sentiment from another of my Ally Pally buys a stamp set called 'Catch the Moments', instead of adding it in a strip I cut each word out and added a blue mat, I arranged them onto my artwork and added a little border using Inktense pencil blended out with a little water.  The final touch was a few light splats of White Posca pen.

I hope you like it xx

Fingers crossed for a brighter day today, it makes such a difference to the day.  I hope that you all have a good day,

Love and hugs to all,

Sandra                                                                              xxxxxx

  1. Hi everyone
Love your journal page today. The flower stamp and sentiment are lovely 😊 I love the effect you’ve got from your Brushos too, I must play with mine again 😊
Yesterday was a total washout here too, rained all day. It’s a cold frosty start here but looks to be a much nicer day.
Back to work today so I best go and get ready.
Have a lovely day everyone. Sending hugs to you all xxx

  2. Morning Everyone
Love your journal page SANDRA particularly the sentiment.

We too had a complete wash out yesterday with torrential rain but the skies are clear this morning so fingures crossed it stays that way.

I still haven't managed to get anything done towards my CC for this week. March isn't a good month for us. There are far too many sad days and they seem to get worse as the years go by.

HUGS are on their way to you all.PLEASE TAKE CARE AND STAY SAFE.xxxx
