A pretty Floral Challenge card

Good Morning Ladies,

I am writing todays blog at 00.45am on the bus on they way home from London, we weren't meant to be this late but 2 buses didn't turn up, so we stood at Marble Arch in the freezing cold for almost 2 hours!  On the Plus ➕️ side the show was AMAZING!!!  We all loved every minute of it,  it was lovely seeing the girls faces, how those Actors keep going for that long is incredible,  the singing was amazing too,  I would 100% recommend it.  In fact I can't wait to see it again with Paul.

Today's card  uses Categories:  Flowers / Die Cut/Sentiment
I used So Saffron Card embossed with Tasteful Texture embossing folder and used a floral border die to create that inlaid technique featured in last Saturdays magazine review, I cut the die in gold mirror card to match the gold embossing on the flower. I die cut the flower and used foam pads for dimension, finishing with a Seam binding bow coloured with the same ink.
I finished the card with the gold embossed sentiment and a matching gem on the bow.
I really like how it turned out.

Today is going to be a lazy one, as we won't be home until after 3am.

I hope that you all have a lovely day,

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra

  1. Morning Everyone
    Love Love today's card SANDRA.

Sorry I've not been in for the last couple of days but for some reason the internet has been paying 'fast and lose'. Heaven only knows whey.

Anyway yesterday was one hectic day for me. AT LAST THE SURVEYOR CAME yesterday morning so we're now waiting a call today to see what the next steps are.
It was K&N yesterday afternoon and I had been asked to take a card for all to make. I decided to use that beautiful format of 'three points' which MICHELE brought to us last year. I think all enjoyed it. We have been told that we can put the tables together again as we used to have them so things are slowly getting back to 'normal'.

The CAFE is OPEN so pop in whenever you can.
HUGS are on their way to you all.
PLEASE TAKE CARE AND STAY SAFE.xxxx

  2. What a shame you had such problems getting home after what sounded like a fabulous day out with the girls
The card is pretty I really must use embossing folders more
We went shopping yesterday to Hobbycraft Didn’t get anything very exciting apart from some polystyrene balls for a project I am just about to start! and some mini lolly sticks
I had very little sleep last night my pump kept alarming so I will definitely be having a nap this afternoon
    Take care everyone xx

  4. Hi everyone
    A very beautiful card Sandra.
Sorry to hear about your journey back home but the show sound fabulous so hoping it comes to MK one day.
Janet, glad you got help regarding the roof. Nice if things change to more normal ways. Love to see the card you made.
Had an awful night so it sound like a few of us will be having a slow day with maybe a nap this afternoon ☺️ Home alone, the "kids"have gone out for the day and OH has gone to see football so I'm catching up on some recording at the mo.
Have a nice day everyone. Many hugs to you all 🤗. Maria xx

  5. Sue's Comment:

Hi Sandra and everyone in the Cafe today. I love Lucy’s cap card. That is a brilliant idea. The die set has such detail doesn’t it, really lifelike. I love the card fold you chose for her card too. I’ve never made a twisted easel card before, another thing to go on my to “do list”
I am in the middle of sorting my stamps out! I was trying to find a Happy Birthday stamp and ended up tipping them all out on the dining table. Then instead of just pushing them back into the bags I keep them in I decided to bite the bullet and sort them out getting rid of many old magazine freebies that never stamp well or simply ones that I will never use. And the ones I keep will be put into order. I am getting there slowly and it will be so much easier to find what I want when I have finished.
Have a good day. Love and hugs to you all xx

  6. Hi everyone
A beautiful card again today, I love the flower border, so pretty 😊
Sorry to hear about your journey home yesterday after your lovely day with the girls. Hope you’re having a rest today xx
Janet, glad you had the surveyor round, hopefully it won’t be too long until they fix it for you xx
I didn’t sleep well either last night, was up between 3 - 4am and then when I went back to bed I was so cold! I must’ve got to sleep though because it wasn’t long before the alarm went off.
Hope you’re all having a good day. Sending hugs to you all xxx
