Mixed Up Saturday

Good Saturday Morning Ladies,

Is it me or is it super chilly at the moment? I just couldn't get warm yesterday,  I do have some windows open a little bit for fresh air but I was positively shivering! It was  beautifully sunny most of day, we had a rainy spell in morning but only for a few minutes.

I am looking forward to spending some time with Paul this weekend as I have barely seen him this week, we are hoping to get some time in the garden.

Now look at this lovely magazine that Michele has reviewed for us this weej, I have ordered mine from Craftstash already 🤣😂

Michele's Magazine Review

Hi Ladies,

The delayed Diecutting Essentials (issue 75) finally arrived!
There’s a great set of stamps & dies as the free gift this month.

Here’s some ideas of what’s inside the magazine.

First feature using the free gifts.

More inspiration using the free gifts.

More card ideas including a non floral one.

Some lovely Easter card ideas.

Perfect for spring.

Don’t these look fantastic-made using inlaid Diecutting.

I’m sure some of you have Foamirin so you could try to create these beautiful cards.

I love the bright colours of the flowers but al  how much white space is on these cards.

These are made with a bonus SVG file but in an older issue this was a free Die-there’s lots of similar ones on eBay.

More ideas using a decorative die-doesn’t just have to be the original shape.

Another feature showing how to use your dies to make stencils-definitely let’s you get more from your dies.

Some inspiration for anyone that’s considering buying the latest Indigo Blu box set.

More inspiration.

Look at these fantastic Interactive shadow box cards

More ideas.

5 cards made using the same Die to create different cards. I just with they’d show the Die they’re featuring.

More inspiration.

This is what coming up in the next issue.

That’s all for this week so
Happy Crafting.

Love Michele

Thank you so much Michele.I loved those dies so much,  I ordered this magazine already! Another amazing review, the magazine is really packed with ideas and inspiration too. XXX

  3. Morning ladies,

Brilliant sunshine again here in my little corner of Somerset. The last 2 days brought gusty winds and plenty of rain with an occasional shower of hailstones. The temperature certainly plummeted as well. What a change from the warm then hot days of March last year.

Fantastic review of this month's magazine Michele. There's some beautiful cards amongst the pages.

I don't watch the craft shows on my computer anymore. A lot of the bundles are far too expensive and the hard sell tactics of 'we are doing you a favour to help you through the lockdowns' does not wash well with me. I like my bargains but I certainly would not buy some of the items that look like throwbacks from when I first started my foray into paper crafting many years ago. Dawn Bibby's stuff is so far entrenched in her first products on QVC, I don't think she has improved her artistic range at all.

However you are planning your weekend, have fun and stay safe.

    Love 7 hugs

Up and out early this morning to Tesco, so glad that chore is done! Got the rest of the day to take it easy, and maybe do some crafting.
Have a lovely day whatever you’re all doing. Sending hugs to you all xxx

  5. Hi Sandra and ladies.
    A great saying Sandra.
A very in-depth review on the magazine as usual Michele. I do like looking at all the freebies on offer even if I no longer use them.
A very odd day yesterday weather wise. It’s dull and windy here at the moment. I’m waiting to take my blood pressure then I’ll pop out for a walk.
Take care and stay safe everyone.

    1. I bought a display set patio table and 6 chairs and had a good bargain as that was also the only colour set in store. I hope you get a similar deal Karen.

  7. Hi Sandra and everyone.
Like the saying, trying to follow it every day 😊
Thanks Michele for the magazine review. Have just bought some mags but think this one will have to be on my wish list too as some good ideas in there.
Great shopping ladies, can't wait to see what you make.
Went out early this morning for doing a covid test and then because the weather was just so lovely went for a beautiful walk. One of the houses we passed always got a nice front garden, today tho it looked extra lovely with all the different coloured flowers she got planted. Really makes you feel more uplifted with some sunshine. It's now gone completely clouded over and it has gone very cold so need to put the heating on and have a cup of tea before doing, hmmm not really sure what I feel like, got some crosswords to finish and a couple of cards to do
Have a nice day and warm hugs for you all xxx

  9. Hello Sandra and ladies,

    Sandra I love the quote!

Michele great magazine review, my copy arrived last Monday I just couldn’t wait to play with the Dies and stamps included, some of the flower dies are so tiny I needed to use tweezers to place them on my card, having said that - I think they are brilliant size for card making.

Cheryl great shopping, love all of your choices.

Sandra your stamps look great. I know you will make beautiful cards using them.

Take care everyone and stay safe, Love Brenda xxx
