Your Challenge Cards

Good Sunday Morning Ladies,

I hope that you are all having an enjoyable weekend, a lovely relaxed one for us so far!

Let's see what you have all made for our Autumn Challenge.....

Two beautiful cards from Janet this week, I love the first card with the lovely pheasant and squirrel, the leaves, the papers are stunning, such an amazing card.  The second card is such a pretty Fairy Scene.

Janet's Description:

My first CC this week was made using LaBlanche papers and cut outs. These papers etc are from the same set I used a few weeks ago.I had been asked to make a 'Thank You' card by a lady who wished to say 'thank you' to a gentleman who had been and cut her lawn.

My second offering this week is a new page I have done in one of my journals. The stamps are Sheila Douglas and the background paper is Chocolate Baroque.

Thank you so much Janet for lovely Autumnal projects. XXX

Now I just happen to know how amazing this style of card looks close up, Lilian creates these amazing detailed pieces on her sewing machine, the level of detail blows my mind.  I love that you have found card that matches perfectly to mount your embroidered piece onto a card.

Lilian's Description:

Here is my autumnal card for this weeks challenge. Thought I’d try out some of the files on my machine, thought this colour way worked ok for this week, frame is and old spellbinder die

Thank you so much Lilian for such an inspirational card XXX

Maria I absolutely love your gorgeous little Autumnal scene, this would look amazing in a box frame to have as Autumn Home Decor.

Maria's Description:

Everything is dies by Sue W like the Celebration shadow Box, Life is a Garden and leaves from the Sycamore branches done with pixie powder.

Thank you so much for taking part Maria, I love your card XXX

Karen the leaves on your card look so realistic,  It us reminding of another challenge card that you made a year or two ago using same leaves,  i remember it absolutely amazing me then too!! I love that embossing folder too, perfect for any Autumn card. I might have to look for one.

Karen's Description:

Here’s a cc
I used free die and stamps from a magazine- by Crafters Companion on a piece of Barbara Grey Rainbow River pad I used the subtle side bit when die cut the bright side looked cool too
EF is Emboliscous on cream card
Sentiment is a SW strip die which I trimmed down

Thank you so much for such an incredible challenge card, your leaves are just perfect! XXX

3 Fantastic Challenge cards Michele,  all perfectly 'Autumnal ', I love the mix of papers that you have used, they work so well with the images you have used .

Michele's Description:

Not quite Autumn flowers but they’re the best I could find.  All 3 cards made using an Ella’s Design CD-ROM “Words at Play “.

Thanks so much Michele for 3 lovely Challenge cards. XXX

Oh Brenda I just love this stamped image, it's just adorable,  I love Joanna Sheen's 'House Mouse ' range, I used to watch her Craft demonstrations in absolute awe, all of the detail she used to add to the cards were amazing too. Such a lovely challenge card Brenda.

Brenda's Description:
Have managed to make one challenge card, the stamp is one I’ve had for ages it’s from Joanna Sheen, From her House  Mouse range, It called ‘LOVE Sunflowers’  I’ve had this for years so not sure if it’s still available.
I stamped the image and coloured it in with my Copic pens. I also tried colouring it with coloured pencils but opted to use this image. We’ll save that one for another day.

Thanks so much for taking part Brenda, I adore your card XXX

I am a sucker for a Wreath card, yours is no exception, its beautiful Sonia, I love the colours you have used and that embossed background is amazing.

Sonia's Description:

I punched some leaves in brown, green and yellow card stock and arranged them on a thin circle die cut frame to arrange as a wreath. The flowers and the hessian embossing folder are from Crafter’s Companion. I’ve added some gold gilding wax to the embossed panel and leaves - although it’s not really showing up in the photo. The sentiment is LOTV.

Thank you so much for a truly lovely Autumnal Challenge card XXX

A beautiful Autumnal card from Sue for this weeks challenge,  Sue used some beautiful Autumnal  papers, Sue stamped and die cut the leaves, and coloured them with Distress Oxides.  They look so realistic Sue.

Thank you so much for creating a lovely challenge card Sue XXX

Thank you so much Ladies as always you have created a stunning display of Autumn Cards.  You are so inspirational and I am so grateful to all of you XXX

I hope you all enjoy the rest of the weekend,

Love and hugs to all,

  1. Oh Ladies Beautiful cards
Mine is definitely a variation of one I have made before That time I gold embossed the leaves and used a different sentiment I intended to make another but time and mojo got the better of me
I managed to clog up my sewing machine yesterday (user error) So OH has got to unscrew the sewing plate for me this morning Boy! It’s screwed in tight
Other than that we don’t have any plans
    Take care all xx

  2. Morning Ladies

What a fantastic selection of challenge cards today.

I had thought this weeks challenge might kick start my enthusiasm but unfortunately it didn’ the moment I seem to have absolutely no interest in actually making a card, love looking at them etc. I decided to treat myself yesterday & placed an order with craftstash so let’s see if that helps!

Housework this morning then either a session in my craft room looking for my mojo or if it stays fine we might go for a walk. Might find my Mojo on our walk as it’s disappeared!!!

  3. Morning Everyone
Ohh I love Sunday morning.First cuppa of the day and CCs to look at. It still amazes me that we all find completely different pieces from the same theme.

Nice quiet day for us.We'll be watching the 'Tour' this afternoon so will be 'shattered' by tea-time.Who would think that just watching would be so

CAFE is OPEN.Lunch today is Roast Beef with roasted veg and Apple tart for afters.Place your orders.
HUGS are on their way to you all.
MICHELE-I hope you find your mojo if you go walking.

  4. Hi, dry at the moment, but rain forecast for later.

Today’s cards are all so different, love them all, I have so many cards already made, so decided I must use my super new sewing, only drawback is the time it takes, not really arty.

Not sure what’s on the “cards” today, must tidy my table, I always make such a mess, just to make one card.

Have a good day all, hugs Lilian

  5. Hi everyone
Love all of today’s cards, they’re beautiful 😊
Worked this morning, so nothing planned this afternoon. Mark watching the Grand Prix, so I might do some more colouring.
I hope you’re all having a good day. Hugs to all xxx

  6. Hi Sandra and all in the Cafe today. Such a lovely selection of autumnal cards ladies. I do love the colours mother nature’s brings us in Autumn, but not the cooler shorter days.
Sandra I hope you are having a nice lazy day with Paul xx
Maria your card would look beautiful framed and hung on the wall. It really is gorgeous. I must treat myself to one of these frames as I have seen so many lovely cards made using them. I hope you’re not too aches x
I did make another smaller autumnal card but it was far to late to send it to you last night. But I took the opportunity while the mojo was with me. I will be doing some more later on once I have cleared some space on my desk.
Janet I would love a roast beef dinner if it’s not too late as it’s my favourite roast x
Sending love and hugs to you all with extras for Lynda, Mum and all in need. Take care xx

  7. Hello Sandra and ladies,

Love all of today’s Challenge cards, they are all so different and so inspiring.
Lilian your card is definitely a work of art, it must have taken hours to make.

I hope everyone is enjoying a relaxing weekend and ready for the start of a new week, I don’t know where the time goes, the days just seem to fly by, I always thought that once I retired the days would drag, but it’s quite the opposite, I never seem to have enough hours in my day.

Take care everyone and stay safe.
    Love Brenda xxx

  9. Afternoon everyone.
Wonderful Autumnal cards on the wall today, love them all. I had a quick look this morning but then it was time for our walk, washing to hang out and brunch. OH sat watching the grand prix and not sure what happened but the car noise going around and around made me fall a sleep on the sofa so have just woken up with a kink in my neck LOL
Lilian- your card is so pretty, like how you have Incorporated work from the sewing machine.
Brenda- I love the house mouse in all forms and your card is so cute.
Sue- lovely to see a card from you again. Hope all are alright.
Sandra- I hope Paul is getting better but tell him to let it heal properly before taking on too much work.
Sonia- Sweet card. How exciting to have your garden redone. Do you do the patio and everything ? love to have our grass done, red ants and flying ants have made a real mess of it.
Michele- know how you feel reg the mojo. It is a bit unreliable at times alright. You have such a nice cd-rom's to work with tho so you always give us nice cards.
Janet- must have missed the lunch but glad to see your beautiful cards.
Karen- hope you alright after the outing to the zoo. Love your leafs on the card. Take care
Hope your day been good everyone. Many hugs xx

  10. Hi Sandra & ladies
A stunning display of cards today. Loads to look at and everyone different. Hope Paul is taking it easy Sandra. I’m not to sure where this this has disappeared to. Nice day today so I’ve been out walking again. I’m not getting so puffed so I must be doing something right. At least Amy thinks she doesn’t have to keep checking up on me all the time, as she hasn’t messaged me once today. Amy & Amber had been out riding with their Mum yesterday afternoon. They knocked for me to go for a walk with the dogs about 8.00 ish but I was to worn out to go with them.
Ambers last day at home today so I’ll pop up later to say goodbye to her.
Take care everyone and stay safe.
