Good Friday Morning Ladies,
Well what a whirlwind of a week, this time last week we were preparing for our trip to Ally Pally and also our little mini break to London, to say that it has totally whizzed by is a huge understatement.
I absolutely loved meeting up with some of you at Ally Pally, that for me is the best part of the day, we have all grown so close over the past few years, the few times that we get to meet are really special to me. You can tell how much we all love each others company as the time passes so quickly and there are no quiet moments. I did miss saying goodbye to both Brenda and Lynda which was sad but the saddest part was that Lynda really struggled to enjoy it as much as she normally does because of the pain she was in, we did get a hug and to sit and have a lovely chat over lunch. Maybe we can sort some kind of meet up before the next Ally Pally in September.
I know that a few of you have mentioned having another little 'Retreat' where we all get to meet up for a couple of days /nights and get the chance to relax, chat and most importantly craft together, the last one was a success and I would love to do another one, it would be even better this time as we are all so much closer, let me know what you think.
Today's card fits both last weeks 'Bright and Bold' theme and also this weeks TicTacToe, using categories: Blue/Floral/Enamel Dots (you can use any sparkle/shiny embellishments)
The stamp is one of the new ones that I bought from Honey Doo Crafts at Ally Pally, it's called 'Floral Chaos' which is a very good description.
I took a piece of whisper white card and blended Broken China Distress Oxide Ink all over it, I then put that piece into my stamp tool and stamped the Floral Chaos Stamp, I added Clear Embossing powder and heat set, I was a little apprehensive about colouring the image as I had the pale blue distress oxide in the background, but it gave the paper an almost watercolour paper texture, I could use my new Sparkle Pens from Sheena/Crafters Companion with no problems, they did absorb in a little but I just added an extra coat or two, I have added a section 'close up' photo to try and show the 'sparkle', it's brilliant, the pens have real rich colour and are packed with glitter too, now I didn't have green as I just bought the one pack to try, so I just squeezed a little of the Blue and Yellow pens out onto my glass mat and got a lovely green, same for the purple, mixing the colours is super easy.
The butterflies may seem oddly placed but they are there for a reason, (lets just say having lots of ink and water around makes the chance of 'mishaps' a lot more frequent)!!
I stamped a simple 'Just a Note' to finish my card, matted it onto black to make it pop and then onto white card.
Next Weeks Challenge.....
As you can see your next weeks challenge is a TicTacToe, you all seem to enjoy them and they can work for just about any occasion.
Enamel Dots can include any kind of little gem stone.
The rest is pretty self explanatory, I hope you like it and enjoy making your challenge cards, I can't wait to see them all.
I hope you all have a lovely weekend,
Love and hugs to all of you,
Sandra

Morning Ladies
ReplyDeleteSandra-what a gorgeous card. The Tic Tac Toe for next week looks good-hopefully I’ll be joking in.
Didn’t feel well yesterday, I had a horrendous headache all day which lift me feeling wiped out. My boss sent me to get my BP checked as she was concerned after my nosebleed on Wednesday-all fine.
Sandra-the idea of a crafty retreat sounds great. It would depend where & when it was but I’m interested.
Michele
Morning Everyone
ReplyDeleteA beautiful card to finish this week.
I don't know whether it's me but i cannot read the tic tac toe. Can you please either enlarge the grid or just let me have the contents.Sorry about this.
Well another week gone and a busy 'swear' day for me.
First I have to send off my CC though.
The CAFE is OPEN ready and waiting for you all.
HUGS are on their way to you all. Take care and have a good day xxxx
Hi everyone,
ReplyDeletePretty card Sandra and good tic tac toe for next week.
I love Friday as it's craft club day. I think we're making gift bags today which should be fun. Usually we all do our own thing but every now and again someone brings in an item they've made ( usually Wendy) and we have a go the following week. The class has grown to 12 now so there's never a dull moment.
Hope all in pain have a better day today.
Hugs to all.
Valx
Sounds like you have a lovely time at your craft club Val. Enjoy.
DeleteHi Sandra and ladies
ReplyDeleteLovely card Sandra. I can see why the stamp is called random.
I to bought Crafters Companion sparkle pens a few years ago at Ally Pally. However, when I was stood watching. I said to the lady well can’t I just colour with my normal pens and use the CLEAR pens on top. She said of course you can. So rather than paying £10 for a set of coloured sparkle pens I just bought the clear ones and put them on top of my colouring. I can even use them on my parchment crafting.
This week really has flown by but I am glad it’s Friday and able to look forward to the weekend
ReplyDeleteI love your card SANDRA That is a very pretty stamp

Hello Sandra and ladies,
ReplyDeleteLovely card today Sandra, the Floral Chaos stamp is lovely and very different from Honey Doo’s usual style. I was looking on their Gallery just a while ago, I really fancy the Floral Buds stamp. I forgot to buy it at Ally Pally, must start a list for next show.
Hope everyone has a good weekend, sending love and prayers to those feeling poorly or a bit under the weather.
Take care, Love Brenda xxx
