A Trio of Tags

Good Morning Ladies,

I hope that you are all well and keeping warm and dry, the weather is just so miserable, I had to switch heating on yesterday afternoon as it was so chilly indoors.

Today I am showing you a set of three tags that I made to send to my Swap partner in New York,
I just wanted to add a little something else, but something that was light and not to bulky to post.

I used a set of dies from Stampin' Up! called Botanical Tags, they just cut out the fancy top of the tag, the rest is my design.
The first Tag I just stamped some little flowers in powder pink ink and smudged a little of the same coloured ink around the stamped flower, to give a more informal look.  I then added some die cut flowers and little bits of the foliage sprig that comes with the die set.  I added a little 'smile' sentiment that I popped on a flag tailed banner, embellished with a flower and some more foliage.

My Second Tag I die cut in Kraft card, backed with some wood effect paper, I used 'Crumb cake' ink which gives an almost 'watermark' effect on Kraft card, I just stamped some foliage sprigs all over in a random fashion. I die cut some of the same flowers that I used on the first tag, in the same powder pink ink (for continuity).  I added sprigs of foliage along with those flowers, I then die cut another flag tailed banner and added the die cut 'For You' and added some more foliage sprigs and a pretty blue bird.

My third Tag I die cut in Blue, I added some scalloped borders, some Petite Petal flowers that I punched out, in Powder pink and Soft Sea Foam, I added a piece of Soft Sea Foam polka dot paper at the bottom of the tag and trimmed with a another scalloped border, I finished the tag with the 'Live, Love, Laugh, sentiment pieces.

I finished all flowers with tiny pearls in matching colours, I am quite pleased with how the turned out, I hope my swap partner likes them too.

Sue came over yesterday, we watched a bit of Craft TV, we were both mesmerised by YUPO paper and both of us want to have a play with that and some alcohol inks.  Have any of you used YUPO paper?  I am keen to hear how you used it and what you thought.
We then went into to craft room after and Sue got busy with her Challenge cards which are Christmas themed!!

I hope that you all have a fantastic day today, whatever you are up to,

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra

  1. Morning Ladies

Sandra-the tags are lovely & I’m sure your swap partner will be very happy to receive them.

I’ve seen a few YouTube videos using YUPO paper & the effect looks great.

We have had frost overnight but it look like it going to a nice day, unfortunately I’ll miss the best part of the day.

I’m off to visit a friend tonight (the one who has donated some of her stash to me) as she’s wanting me to show her how to “buy” and use a digital download (yes-from Ella’s Design).

My plan for today is to finish my CC and hopefully get them photographed so I can send them tomorrow.

The CAFE is OPEN and the heating is on for you all.
    Have a good day.
PAT- I hope PETE is a little more settled today.

HUGS are on their way to you all. Take care and stay safexxxx

    1. Hi Janet
It’s like winter here as well today. Was rather wet as well yesterday.
We’ve had a bad couple of days with Pete. His brother in Bournemouth thought it was a good idea to tell him that he should get a mobility scooter so he could go out. He’d then be able to come home. Well considering he can’t really walk and is very shaky also gets very tired that’s not possible. So the conversation on Monday was very traumatic to say the least. Karen ( Pete’s daughter ) and I were in bits.

Daughter asked me to make a couple of cards for her yesterday neither of which I can work into a cc I’m intrigued SUE ...Christmas themed
I hope everyone that’s poorly or in pain feels better We have glorious sunshine which helps doesn’t it Just need a bit of warmth with it now
    Hugs to all xxx

  4. Hi Sandra and ladies
Lovely tags Sandra that you made for your swap partner.
We had a hard frost yesterday then rain. Today we have rain and it’s cold. Mind you it was cold yesterday as well. Found a lady whose just started Groovi who lives the other side of Witney. Another lady lives in Stonesfield which is about 7 miles from me. They were looking for a class so they could get some help.
I’ve never heard of that paper Sandra. I gave a lot of papers and card to the activities lady who works at the nursing home where Pete is. I still have loads left though.
I’m not me again. As Brenda and Karen say it’s a pain having to prove we’re not robots.

  7. Good morning Sandra & ladies
Very cold again today heating is on. I'm sat here looking like a Turkey waiting to go in the oven 🙄
I have just had my hair cut & hi lights pulled through. Then my hairdresser goes & I wash it off when finished.
SANDRA your tags are lovely I'm sure your swap partner will love them. I have some ironing to do so do that when I've washed bleach off hair. Then try & start my CC haven't got a clue yet what to do.
I will send Sandra pictures of the dies I got from wish for mixed up Saturday. I hope you all have a lovely day the sun is just breaking through the clouds but still very cold. We'll better go & wash my hair now otherwise it will fall out Haha.
Hug's for everyone extra if needed
    Love Lynda xx

  8. Hi Sandra and all in the Cafe today.
DANIELLE, your Mum will treasure her card as it is gorgeous. I love the unusual shape too. Thank you for sharing it x
SANDRA, I saw these gorgeous tags in progress and they look even better now they are all finished. Your swap lady will love them. I love this die set, they are so delicate, especially the bird and floral ones. It was lovely seeing the lambs looking much sturdier this week and I love how they follow you around, especially little one who has a little wander around but then she suddenly rushes back to you, so sweet and funny at the same time 😄 xx
KAREN, yes I am going down the Christmas line this week for my challenge card(s?) in order to have at least some ready later on in the year. x
MARIA, I hope you can manage to rest up a bit before Saturday so you can enjoy the show more. I have been looking at different large alphabet and number dies on Wish so I am looking forward to seeing Lynda’s at AP.
LYNDA, I do hope you and CU can manage to get to AP. Why not ring AP to book one of their free of charge wheelchairs for the day like Mum did last time? Even if you don’t sit in it all of the time it will give you something supportive to push, and put your shopping in! Terry, you won’t loose Lynda if you are pushing her around in it either 😄 Hugs tonyou both xx
BRENDA, I’m sorry you are struggling to sleep during the night. I have tried making myself stay awake all day but it makes no difference, in fact I find that it just makes me even more tired! But I think everyone is different as some people find having no naps during the day definitely helps them get a better sleep at night. What ever you do I hope you get back to a good nights sleep very soon x
It’s another cold and wet day here.....😞 so heatings on already. Sending love and hugs to you all with extras for all in need. Take care xx

  10. Hello Sandra and ladies,
Sandra your tags for the lady in the US are lovely. She is going to be absolutely thrilled with them.
We have had a busy day, started with going to our hairdresser friend and getting our hair cut, I also had mine coloured. We had a lovely chatty time and left her early afternoon, from there we popped into Morrison’s and Asda, on the way home OH said shall we pop into Vauxhall Garage and see what’s on offer. Two hours later we left having bought a new car. What a day!
Sandra I had hoped to get my CC made today....but guess what? I will TRY tomorrow to see what I can do. xx
Hope everyone has had a good day, Love Brenda xxx

    1. Wow Brenda fancy popping into the Vauxhall garage and coming out with a car. Sounds just like Pete did while we were in Bournemouth a couple of years ago. I also had by hair cut today. Should have had it done yesterday as she comes on a Tuesday. But somehow I lost Tuesday and thought it was Monday so missed her.

Have heard about the paper but not seen it around, wonder if they will have it at Ally Pally. Wonder who is still there of the companies this spring.
Sound like it been a busy day at the hairdressers , do hope you got you hair left Lynda and didn't leave it too long, oh dear hihi
Brenda, you are dangerous going out shopping. Think to go out and coming home after bought a new car as well. How's the shopping list for Saturday looking. Mine is small and not too crazy looking. Not sure why but don't think it will so much bought this time, ye who am I kidding. Roll on Saturday and my wish is that we all going to meet there one day, ladies from North and ladies from South.
Meeting a friend in the morning and then hope to make a cc, find it hard this week.
