Sue's Embossing Challenge card

Good Monday Morning Ladies,

I hope that you are all starting the week well, if like me that is not the case then gentle hugs are winging their way to you.

I am happy to report that I had a full nights sleep Saturday night into Sunday morning, I was in bed by 10 and asleep by half past, I was up twice going to loo but was straight back to sleep! Hallelujah  Fingers crossed it wasn't a one off!

Today's gorgeous card is one Sue made and sent to help me out.                                                                       Sue's Description:

Hi Sandra. A simple embossed card for the challenge. I used a Lisa Horton DL embossing folder - a freebie from Simply cards and papercraft. After embossing pink card I gently went over the whole piece of card with Rose Bud Memento ink pad. I added a dynamo sentiment, layered it onto a light pink then a white card base. Super quick and easy.

Oh Sue your card is so beautiful,  the amount of detail is incredible, I love the colour you have picked too.

Thank you so much for sharing this gorgeous card with us my lovely XXX

Ladies I hope you all have a great Monday,

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra                                                                              xxxxxx

  1. Hi everyone
Oh this is a beautiful card by our Sue. Not normally a pink person but this is lovely. Think we are a few with this magazine 😉 I can't wait to see how many card with this EF coming Sunday 😀
Out for a walk by the lake, blowing the cobwebs away and stopped at the lake café before going home and take care of the real cobwebs and dust. Sun is shining so can't hide it anymore 🤣
Have a nice day everyone, many hugs to you all 🤗 xxx

  3. Hello, still very cold ,although they try to tell me it’s warmer.

Sorry I missed yesterday, I don’t know what’s happening to my memory. Loved all the cards, so many different styles using the same theme.

Just tried to emboss a piece of blue card that took me ages yesterday to find, but the paper has cracked, I think it’s 240grms so not sure why, will have to think up a new idea.
Hope you are all having a good day, I have to go and have another coil fitted tomorrow as they can’t find the first one. Not looking forward to it though, still has to be done. Lilian.

  4. Beautiful card Sue
I have woken up full of cold and it’s caused the existing cough to be a bit worse Fingers crossed it doesn’t turn into a chest infection
I will have a gentle afternoon flitting between card making and crochet
    Take care everyone xx

Spent most of the day at hospital, back again on Thursday for repeat tests. I seem to spend most of my days having tests. Fingers crossed that they come up with a solution to help my heart problems soon.
Hope your day has been a good one, take care, hugs Brenda xxx

  6. HiSandra and all looking in tonight.
Thank you for the kind words. I had intended to just ink over the raised parts but there is one card in the magazine that had it all over so I tried that which made it such an easy card to make. Now Sandra knows that I’m like her in that the choosing colours, card etc. takes far longer than actually making the card! Maybe we could have a challenge making the same card in 3 different colours/papers to make all the time selecting seem more worthwhile 😁😁
Sandra I hope you get to sleep as well again tonight my lovely. It would be lovely to see you this week if possible. It’s been far too long hasn’t it xx
Lilian, good luck for tomorrow. I hope it all goes to plan this time xx
Karen, sorry to hear you have a cold now. I hope you start to feel better very soon xx
Wishing you all a good nights sleep, hopefully. I’ve been sorting out the cupboard under the stairs! Yes all sorts were in there. Now going through filing cabinet to get rid of lots of no longer needed paperwork. About half way through now so a good days work. Sending hugs to you all. Take care xx
