A Clean & Simple Challenge card

Good  Morning Ladies,

I hope today finds you all as well as can be expected,  gentle hugs on route to those feeling low  🤗 .
I can confirm that the 'Cast not a clout till May is out ' is very good advice,  I certainly needed my cardigan yesterday, (why does that one garment sound like something Nana would say??)  Anyway it was a little cooler here yesterday,  no real sign of the sun, I feel for those on holiday with children as the rain makes for an expensive holiday in this country!  The girls said the park was super busy at the weekend.  They both have the day off today, we are going to get a hair cut and colour, I just need to camouflage those grey ones!  🤣

Today's card I sat and made on Friday as I was excited to have a play with those lovely magazine free stamps  (hexagons etc). I just followed the instructions for one of the cards in the magazine. I made some masks for the flowers and made a little arrangement behind the hexagon.  One thing you have to be careful of with some magazine freebiesis that you don't apply too much pressure when stamping or the stamps tend to squish and give thicker lines, I thought those problems went out years ago but evidently not.  I coloured the flowers with my Ecoline pens.  I stamped the sentiment and adhered to the hexagon and finished the flowers with some tiny diamantés, I added a couple extra too.
I am looking forward to seeing your designs.

I hope that you all have a great day,

Love and hugs to all,

Sandra

  1. That is a pretty CAS card
I feel sorry for these families too and what about all these flights being cancelled too On the news I saw one family saying that they’d boarded the plane only to be told that the flight was then going to be cancelled
Had a busy day yesterday- work was brain scrambling then we went shopping for underwear at a new M&S - still had to order my size! and then went further afield to buy waterproof jackets for bowls! They were a bargain- totally waterproof but reversible as a fleece too reduced to £19! So I’ve got all of the gear but have no idea at the moment! Then dancing in the evening
I think I have an idea for a challenge card that’s a bit different and will work so I’ll be trying that later
    Take care everyone xx

  2. Afternoon ladies
    A beautiful CAS card Sandra.😃
Just got back from town and not sure if it's already the school holidays but it was packed in the shopping centre as the weather is really nasty, cold and wet. Very expensive to take them out for food, cinema and what else they want to do.🙄 I got myself another couple of vests for the holiday and some pumps. Really hard to find and I hate buying shoes, especially with blisters in the crease just below the big toes, yes both of them after too much walking last Friday. 🥴
I hope you all have a good day whatever you are doing. Take care and many hugs to you all 🤗 xxx

  3. Hi everyone
Love your pretty card today 😊
I made a couple of quick cards yesterday, both to fit this weeks challenge. Hayley bought me some little crafty bits for my Birthday so I made use of those 😊
Weather very changeable today, one minute the suns out then the next it’s tipping it down! Think it’s meant to get better for the bank holiday weekend though.
Hope you’re all having a good day.
Sending hugs to you all xxx

Lovely little card Sandra, lovely pale colours.
Not sure what I am going to do for this yet, will have to look on Pinterest for interest.

  5. Hello Sandra and ladies,
Lovely clean and fresh card Sandra I love the soft colours you have used .
You rekindled some memories in my head talking about cardigans. When Debbie was a small child if I said let’s put your cardigan on she would flatly refuse, one day I had an idea and said let’s put your jacket on (same garment) not a problem. Fickle child!!
Hope you are all well,Take care, Brenda xxx
