Good Morning Ladies,
Can you believe it's Thursday already! I was planning a card for tomorrow and then it dawned on me that I need to think of our next Challenge not make another background!
Today's card background was made by scribbling 2 different coloured alcohol markers on a piece of acetate, I then spritzed the acetate with Rubbing Alcohol (with a high Alcohol content) abd then gave a quick blast my Heat tool, which mixed the two colours together, I did spritz my craft mat with a bit more alcohol and smooshed the acetate a couple of times. You don’t really see how amazing it looks until you put it on the white card. I made this card quite small (4X4inch), put glue under the die cut butterfly to attach the acetate to card base. Although I popped a little in the corners and it didn't really show. I finished the card by adding some black gems on the butterfly and added the sentiment. I really was impressed with the effect of this technique. What do you think ?
I hope that you all have a lovely day,
Love and hugs to all of you

Hi Sandra and all in the Cafe today. What a pretty card with the lovely butterfly die cut. And a great technique. I can see why you enjoyed making the background as it looks great. And is easy to do too which is always a bonus isn’t it.
ReplyDeleteI am hoping to get some crafting in today when I get back, fingers crossed!
I hope you all have a good day. Love and hugs xx
Forgot to ask if it is easy to find the right rubbing alcohol? I have some but haven’t got a clue the % of alcohol in it so guess what I will be doing later 😀xx
ReplyDeleteA lovely card and a clever technique I haven’t tried doing this on acetate
ReplyDeleteFunnily enough I nearly picked up a pack of 4x4 cards in Hobbycraft the other day and didn’t! Then OH wanted 5 Thank you cards I ended up making 5 cards together with envelopes!
Take care everyone xx
Good morning everyone.
ReplyDeleteWow! This looks great 👍. A technique I like to try.
It's a beautiful morning, nice after all the rain yesterday so we are going out this morning for a walk and always a coffee at the end.
Wishing you all a good day.
Many hugs to you all 🤗 xoxo
Hi everyone
ReplyDeleteLove your card. The background is beautiful topped with the pretty butterfly 😍
Mark’s out this evening and there’s not much on tv so I’m going to take the opportunity to sit and craft.
Hope you’re all having a good day and have the lovely weather that we have here. Sending hugs to you all xxx
Hello, late again. Feeling very tired again today.
ReplyDeleteLovely card Sandra, might try that technique, if I can find my inks.
Not done much today, R has been in London all day, so I’ve been watching the tennis from Madrid.
Hope you all have a good night, Lilian
