Your Amazing Challenge cards

Good Sunday Morning Ladies,

I would like to start by wishing Pat a very Happy Birthday, I hope that you get to see Karen & Craig and their families, if only through the window, it's so hard having to spend your birthday locked in, Big Birthday hugs on route to you my lovely XXX

Ladies I will not waffle on and hold you up, I know that you only came for one thing today..............

Here are your Fantastic Challenge cards............

Sonia

Two stunning cards from Sonia for our Wings Challenge, Oh Sonia I can see that you have been playing with your new craft stash, I just knew you would make some amazing cards.  Your cards couldn't be more different, one is precise and perfect in every way and the other is just WOW, so abstract.  I have to say that I love those Sizzix Dies, I think they may end up in my stash! Thanks for the inspiration.

Sonia's Description:

Here are my challenge cards,

I’ve used some of my new craft goodies. For the first card I’ve used the slimline dies from Heffy Doodle, cut from Kraft and white card. I’ve embellished with Tim Holtz butterflies cut from Kraft card and vellum. The sentiment strips are from my stash.

My second card uses one of the stamps from the ‘Paint Splodges’ set from Honey Doo crafts. The square frame die is from Sizzix and again I’ve used Tim Holtz butterfly. The sentiment is also from Tim Holtz.

Thank you so much Sonia for two amazing Challenge cards and for inspiring us with you new goodies XXX

Lilian

Oh Lilian your beautiful card, I love that adorable Robin, look at the incredible detail, you can see all of his fluffy feathers, I also love that he is a little bit 'round' like he has enjoyed a good few of those berries already.

Lilian used a Stampendous stamp that she has had in her stash for a good while, as always Lilian's colouring is just perfect, you demonstrate how shading really does make a difference, what medium did you use please??

Lilian thank you so much your card really did make me smile, we are waiting for the Robin to appear on the Bird feeder, we have also decided to buy new Nest boxes as the ones here look like a health hazard!  Thanks again for an inspiring card XXX

Janet

Janet has been in her Stamperia Folder again, I can just tell, mostly because the detail in the papers is just incredible, both of these cards could be used for many different occasions, you are really building an amazing collection of cards Janet.

Janet's Description:

For my Challenge Cards this week I have to say that I went to STAMPERIA again. I have to admit that I hadn't put the file away from last week and so temptation was straight in front of me. Their collections are so easy to use though. Anyway...

My first card is made once again using HOUSE OF ROSES.

and

My second is using one of their latest sets called SIR VAGABOND and just shouts 'Man' card.

Thank you so much once again my lovely for showing us all how amazing the Stamperia papers are and what stunning cards they make. XXX

Maria

Maria has created two lovely cards for our Wings challenge this week, the first card Maria created was helped along with input from Maria's Son. That Butterfly is beautiful and looks very much at home on those leaves.
Maria's second card is in pretty Spring colours, I do love yellow and blue together, I love the detail in the flower and the Bee and I really love how you have wrapped ribbon around the corners of your card, such a great design tip.

Maria's Description :

Son was cutting out some animals for his light boxes that he making

so he gave me this butterfly. Was not sure what to do with it first

but found a leaf stencil ,used Sparkle Texture Paste by P. Martin, rarely

used and three tubs are near solid  (anyway to relive it?)  the butterfly

was then used with another stencil for some marking and that was used

with DO.

Second card was with a little bee I printed off, used DO to colour in and

gave some glitter to the flower and wings. Wrapped some yellow ribbon

and a little blue heart finished this card off.

Thank you so much Maria, I know you haven't had a great week so I really do appreciate you taking part my lovely XXX

Karen

Oh Karen I absolutely love your card, that background is both bright and vibrant and has so much texture, the shadowing around the butterfly makes it look like it is about to take off.

Karen's Description:

Here’s a cc I started a few days ago I didn’t like it at first and certainly didn’t have any idea where I was going to take it A little bit of mixed media! Blended “dripped” DO I stamped the butterfly in the hope of doing some negative painting- that didn’t work So I stamped butterfly again and coloured with alcohol markers and swiped a glitter pen over the top I then decided to splatter glitter pen over the whole piece Still didn’t like it So added some texture paste - my new addiction! Then added the sentiment I don’t know what card I stamped it on but it really sucked up the DO/water when I tried to add a border around it Quite like it now but definitely was going in the bin a couple of days ago

Thank you so much for taking part and creating such a stunning Challenge card. XXX

Michele

Four incredible cards from Michele for this weeks 'Things with Wings' Challenge, I love the fact that you have to look to see the 'Wings' on some of the cards, those little birds are just so cute, you have a card perfect for Anniversary or Valentines Day, Get well cards and two that could be used for almost anything. I love the muted tones you have used and any card with a wreath is always lovely to me.

Michele's Description:

4 challenge cards-I had this idea of using the same style for different occasions used the 12 x 12 papers shown and embossed them with different folders. Wreath cut out using Stampin Up Swirly scribbles die. Various flowers, birds & animals and sentiments from my extensive collection of dies!!

Thank you so much Michele for 4 amazing challenge cards, I felt a proper buzz seeing that your 'Mojo' had returned with a 'Bang' !!! XXX

Brenda

Brenda has designed 3 beautiful cards for our 'Wings' Challenge.  I couldn't pick a favourite,  I love the incredible detail in the first card and the delicate wings hiding the pretty glitter beneath on the second and third cards.

Brenda's Description:

First card is one I made for my sister she wanted some thank you cards I die is my first edition and I got a bargain price from the shop that is closing down so well please.
Card to this is one of those bits cards was buried under my rubbish as well as the butterflies were they were sitting in a dish so again pleased with the results

Second card and the butterflies were sitting on a litter tray on my desk and the glittery piece was an experiment I did some time ago and just got buried together I think they work.

Third card the little dragonfly has been sitting again on my desk in the work area and today I thought let’s put him together -  this is the result.

Brenda, your desk holds a treasure trove of delights, just look at what you created from 'bits' you found on your desk, I wonder how many more cards you could make, I feel a 'Use it up' Challenge coming on!  Thank you so much for taking part XXX
Pat

Pat has shared two cards for our Wings Challenge this week, just look at the amount of incredible detail that Pat has put into these stunning designs .

  1. Morning Everyone
HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAT.I hope you have the best day you can.

SANDRA-I loved your 'Nappy' card yesterday. What a good idea they are but most of all they use proper nappies or am I wrong.

MICHELE-thank you for your Mag Review yesterday.

Oh what a way to start the new year with lots of butterflies which always make me think of sunny and warmer days. Definitely not like the last few days we have had here.
At last yesterday was a little warmer and we had some rain which made a dent in the white stuff so much so that by teatime most of it had gone. I have everything crossed that we don't see it for a while.

Jim managed to get to the surgery first thing Friday morning to have his first virus injection. He now has to wait for his second. I'm waiting to hear when I can have mine.

The CAFE is OPEN of course but sorry there isn't a lunch menu today.
HUGS are on their way to you all.TAKE GREAT CARE AND STAY SAFE.XXXX

Some wonderful cards on display today. They are all gorgeous.
Thank you for my Birthday wishes and thank you for my lovely cards.
I won’t be seeing Craig and family today. Although I do have something from them that got delivered yesterday by Amazon. I’ll see Karen & Co as they only live at the top of my street.
It’s nice and sunny here so I’m going to pop out for a walk.
    Take care and stay safe.

  7. Hi Sandra and all in the Cafe today.
Happy Birthday Pat from Mum and I. Hope you have a nice day. Not that you can celebrate as usual though. I wonder if you will get a cake made by one of the girls? X
Lots of great cards. I love how you have all used the winged creatures in such different ways. I didn’t get mine finished due to major disagreement between brain and body! Sandra I hope your leg is not quite as bad my lovely. Very gentle hugs from me and Mum xx
Maria, good idea to get an MRI to see what your body is up to. Gentle hugs from Mamma Margaret and me xx
Sonia, I’m looking forward to seeing what the other set of dies are that you treated yourself to. Love the ones you have used this week. More items for my wish list 😊 x
I’m really annoyed with myself as I saw a picture frame sort of die set that let’s you make several different size frames. Guess what...... yes of course I can’t find it again!!!
We have lovely blue sky here at the moment. The light snow we were meant to have yesterday didn’t appear, it was just grey all day 😔 Sending love and hugs to you all with extras for Lynda, Mum and all in need. Take care xx

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAT I hope you have a lovely day - in spite of being in lockdown. Sending virtual hugs ((((())))) xx

What a lovely display of challenge cards, think we all enjoyed this one.
I have even already selected a 6 x 6 pad for next weeks challenge, got as far as cutting on sheet to the sizes now I am thinking ‘ what if’. I use a different patterned piece from the pad. Think I will have a play then judge which I like best.

Sandra hope you are still resting xxx

    Have a good day everyone.
    Love Brenda xxx
