Good Morning Ladies,

I hope that you are all well, it was a bit of a grey and drab start to the week, roll on brighter, warmer days of Spring,  it will make Lockdown a little bit more bearable if nothing else, I remember last Spring was a real delight, with lots of warm sunshine, we can dream!!

I spent kost if yesterday trying to organise Mum's Head stone and a date to place her ashes in her chosen plot, as with everything Lockdown plays a factor,  not for the chap that prepares the plot but for us travelling a long distance to get there, I'm not sure if it's considered a good enough reason to travel.

Today's cards are two of the 4 that I made as part of my 6 x 6 One sheet wonder Challenge on Friday.

I stamped a simple sentiment and die cut with Oval dies, I wanted to keep the embellishment simple as the lovely lace borders are beautiful enough to take centre stage.                                                                     The second card I kept even more simple by just stamping 'Just a Note' in bottom corner, leaving the pretty papers and borders to shine.

I hope you like them.

I hope that the sun shines wherever you are today,  please stay safe my lovelies.

Love and hugs to all of you,

Sandra                                                                                xxxxxx

  1. Morning Ladies

Two lovely cards Sandr, I love the colours.

I’ve been checking the government guidelines for traveling as we have a 500 mile round trip for my Uncle’s funeral and I’m not sure your trip would be allowed.
I checked my appointment letter yesterday only to realise it was yet another phone consultation. Spent most of the day trying to speak to someone & failed. I actually got a phone call at homeb(6:30pm) explaining the appointment was an error snd should be gir my injections and she would sort it out. I did hint that I’s been waiting for this and my had as getting worse. She checked a few details (when I’d had my Covid vaccine) and promised to look into this so fingers crossed.

We have torrential rain and a weather warning for the next 2 days!

  2. Morning Everyone
    Twolovely CCs SANDRA.

We had a very damp/grey day here yesterday and it's pouring down this morning.
We too are in the 'weather warning' area for heavy rain etc so I think I just might find something to do so I don't have to look out of the windows.

The CAFE is of course OPEN so pop in for a cuppa and a chat whenever you can.
HUGS are winging their way to you all.PLEASE TAKE CARE AND STAY SAFE.xxxx

  4. Hi Sandra and ladies
    Lovely cards Sandra.
Thanks for the explanation re where my cousin lives Karen and Sonia. The housing block where she lives is run by Anchor Hanover Sonia. Teresa says they have letters every so often reminding them not to go out. Although she has the nurse going in today to look at her legs. She’s had both of her vaccinations.
Hope the vaccinations go well today. My friend rang me yesterday to say that she’s having hers at 7.30 am on Friday.
Take care and stay safe everyone.

  5. Morning ladies.
Two lovely cards Sandra, love the colours.
Michele- fingers crossed you get the injection for your hand and it will get better.Take care.
Showing a lot of bad weather for up north so take care all who are living there.
Good luck Brenda getting the vaccine later. If we are lucky one might get it sooner then thought.
Waited in in the afternoon yesterday for my phone call with doctor and of course she had phoned during we were out in the morning so this morning had to call the surgery at 8am for getting a new slot for the doc to call me back. She did call back at 10am but it was no use for I hate speaking on the phone and even with my list with what to say, I didn't really get any help as such other then she was going to send me a referral for some pain clinic. I been there before many times......
Anyhow, I'm staying in today and hope to get some crafting done later today. I wish you all a good day and sending many hugs for you all. xxx

  7. Hi Sandra and all in the Cafe today. I love both cards today. You show how easy it is to only use a small piece of patterned paper with the pretty lacey borders. Must say that Stamping up papers are beautiful aren’t they. I hope your knee is feeling easier each day my lovely and that you are able to finish sorting your Mums final wishes xx
Maria sorry your doc isn’t very helpful. Just being sent to pain clinic again isn’t going to help is it!!! X
Karen yes we all try to find something to laugh at rather than cry. It’s not hard with Mum and I in particular, you know what we are like don’t you 🤣
    X
Brendaits good to hear you have managed to get your test done. You must have been so annoyed having to hang in the phone fir so long x
I’m having a day when I just can’t get warm for some reason. Sending love and hugs to you all with extras for Lynda, Mum and all in need. Take care xx

  8. Hello Sandra and ladies,

Sandra I love both of your cards, the lace borders certainly give a finished look to both panels, they really are lovely.

Marie sounds like your telephone appointment with the GP was very frustrating - to say the least. If you have already attended the pain clinic what’s the point of sending you there again.

Well we have both had our first Covid vacation this afternoon a church hall is being used and they were very organised, I counted five doctors giving the jab, each had an assistant with a laptop keeping records. There was a army of helpers guiding you on to the next stage and making sure everyone was safe. Very impressed with the whole set up.

I hope everyone manages to avoid storm Christoph.
Keep warm and stay safe ladies,
    Love Brenda xxx

  9. Hello All, we seem to be having a visit from Christoph raining windy and dark.

Love your cards Sandra, they reminded me that I have some lovely edge punches, if I can remember where I put them, haven’t used them for ages.

Glad to hear some of you have had your vacation, they are really slow down here, my sister and sister in law are both over eighty and they have not had theirs yet. So I think we will have to wait a while yet, trouble with living in a retirement area.

The numbers today are terrible, very sad. Hugs to all Lilian
