Your TicTacToe Challenge Cards

Good Sunday Morning Ladies,

I hope that you are all well and have been enjoying the unexpected nice weather, it was a little bit cloudy here yesterday but it was warm and dry, a little bit too humid if I'm honest but don't want to complain as it was lovely to be able to go outside and  to hear the birds sing too.

Lets get straight on with the show.……..

Brenda

Brenda has designed a beautiful Birthday card using such lovely shades of purple for this weeks TicTacToe Challenge.

Brenda's Description:

"Have chosen categories Purple, Flower and sparkle. I used a Sweet Poppy stencil and texture paste."

Thank you so much Brenda for taking part in this weeks challenge, I Really do appreciate it XXX

Janet

Two gorgeous cards from Janet to start us off today, the first card Janet has made with the most beautiful paper pad, such a pretty design, I bet they were hard to actually tear out and use Janet !!
Janet's second card is made with a lovely detailed Tonic die, finished with some lovely flowers.

Janet's Description:

" For my first card is used paper from my 'BLOOM BEAUTIFUL' pad by Shell Rummel/the butterflies are Tonic dies/flowers and studs from my stash. PURPLE/BUTTERFLY/FLOWERS/PAPER PIECING/SPARKLE

My second card is made using TONIC card and die/flowers from my stash.

PURPLE/FOLD/FLOWERS"

Thank you so much Janet for taking part and creating two beautiful cards XXX

Michele

Michele clearly has her 'mojo' back, just look at this lovely challenge card, I love the colour that you have used Michele, so bright and vibrant, love the embossing folder too!

Categories used: Embossing/Butterflies/Stripes

Michele's Description:

"All occasions embossing Folder plus various butterfly Dies & gemstones. Embossing/butterfly/stripes."

Thank you so much Michele for such a lovely challenge card XXX

Maria

Maria has designed an absolutely gorgeous Stepper card for this weeks challenge, I love that pretty paper that you have used Maria.

Categories Used:  Patterned Paper/Fun Fold/Butterflies

Maria has used the pretty purple patterned paper to cover a Stepper card base, the card has been embellished with some lovely butterflies.  This 'Get Well Soon' card would make anyone feel better.

Thank you so much Maria for taking part in the challenge this week XXX

Karen

Just look at these two amazing cards that Karen has designed for this weeks TicTacToe Challenge.
The first Z fold card is amazing, I love the design Karen it works so well with that particular fold.
The second that Karen has made was created using the Bleaching/watercolour technique that I used for my card. I think that the technique worked perfectly on Karen's card.

Karen's Description:

"A simple fold back card!
So I’ve done fancy fold - flower- paper piecing/purple"

"Here’s another cc for you
I’m quite pleased now that I have stuck it all together
So purple - watercolour - flower
Woodware stamp with DO background (wilted violet) and the bleach technique
A few white splatters and the sentiment is from same stamp set I just cut it up
Matted onto black and white paper (save on weight) and a DO piece of card"

Two stunning Challenge cards this week Karen, thank you so much for taking part XXX

Lilian

I absolutely love the card that Lilian has designed for this weeks TicTacToe Challenge

Categories used: Flower/Purple/Embossing

Lilian's card is very much a 'Tracy Evan's' style card, the Iris (i think) has been coloured exquisitely by Lilian, it looks so realistic. Lilian has also created a fantastic background with a mix of stamps and stencils.

Thank you so much Lilian for taking part and creating such an incredible card XXX

Sonia

Sonia has designed two absolutely stunning cards for this weeks TicTacToe Challenge, the first is an amazing 'New Home' card and the second is ……...A Christmas Card, YAY Sonia you have made a start!!!

Sonia's Description:

" Here are my challenge cards:

The first one is any shade of purple. I made this card for one of our residents who is moving up to Scotland in the near future to be closer to her Son. I purchased the heart backing paper from The Lovely Studio and printed off in the lilac. I used Sue Wilson’s dies as the backing elements, and the Lawn Fawn tag holds the Mama Elephant house.

The circle sentiment is LOTV, and the sentiment is from Clearly Besotted.

My second card is shiny or sparkly, so decided on making a Christmas card. I stamped the Magnolia Snowflake Circle. I die cut the Tim Holtz snowflake in silver glitter card and added some Memory Box snowflakes in gold glitter card. The sentiment is from Clearly Besotted."

Thank you so very much Sonia for two incredibly amazing challenge cards XXX

  1. Morning Ladies

What a fantastic selection of challenge cards today, all so lovely.

We had glorious sunshine yesterday, it was very warm/humid. We eventually got the thunderstorm plus an amazing lightning show at 11pm. Lots of heavy rain so that saves us watering anything today. We spent a few hours yesterday afternoon cutting back some of the shrubs using the new power Sheard we had delivered last week. We also managed to sit with a cold drink so it was a lovely day.
Housework this morning then I must start some cards especially 2 Fathers Day cards as we’ll need to post the one to my Father in Law.

  2. As SANDRA has said You are amazing ladies
Some really lovely ideas and every single one of them different
We had an unexpected visit from daughter and her family late afternoon asking if we wanted to go to our local pub (golf course) They were serving drink and food for first time since lockdown It was lovely to get out and sit on the grass BUT the rub was you had to buy food AND drink together and boy they’d really hiked up the prices So we didn’t bother and just sat and talked watching Oscar have a good run around
I am going to have a go at making a courgette cake today as I have some left over I’ll let you know how Mary Berry and I get on!
    Take care all xx

  4. Hello, very wet again, only a few days ago we were desperate for rain, now we have had so much it’s almost washing the little plants out of the ground.

Super lot of cards today, my first gelli print background, not sure it’s my style, still have to think outside the box.

Not much doing here today, too wet to go out side, so might go to my craft room.
Have a good day all, Lilian

  5. Hi Ladies.
Super lot of CC's today and all different. Many ideas for future card making.
We managed to get hold of a BBQ in the end last week so just waited for a nice day to come. Yesterday was lovely and I made up some burgers and chicken skewers and OH put the coal on about 5.30pm and laid the table out with everything and the heaven opened up with a proper shower so we rushed back and forth to get it all in again for it to stop about 20 minutes later. Out it all came again and we had a lovely dinner sitting outside for a couple of hours.Went in and put the dishes in the dishwasher and looked out the window and the heaven opened up again with hailstones and thunder ! We both looked at eachother and burst out laughing, couldn't believe our luck.
Today is also nice but it was so muggy during the night, didn't get much sleep. Was harder to walk this morning but got it in and think it will be sitting out and read the rest of the day.
I wish you all a nice day whatever you are up to, take care
    Hugs Maria xxx

  6. Hello Sandra and ladies,

What a fantastic selection of challenge cards and all so different. Looking at all of your wonderful cards really makes Sunday’s very special.

KAREN So pleased you were able to meet up with your daughter and grandsons, it must have been a lovely watching Oscar play. Shame about the food and drink being so over priced, you would think if these places wanted to encourage customers they would keep the costs reasonable. But you managed to see your family that was the best reason for going out.

Have a good day whatever you are doing. Love Brenda

We are just about to have a quiz. Chris likes to read the questions and Gem and I try to answer them. We have recently bought a world map poster as we realised that our geography is terrible so we are trying to improve it. At least we are learning something during lockdown! Sending love and hugs to you all with extras for Lynda, Mum and all in need. Take care xx
