I hope that you are all well, I have now got to reacclimatise to this chilly weather, I'm sure September isn't supposed to be this chilly, it's so hard not to put the heating on, Paul said if it's that cold later he may light the fire in the lounge to give a bit of warmth. If it doesn't warm up though the heating WILL be going on, I can't bare being cold, it just makes all of your aches and pains feel worse!
Today's card is one I made before we went on Holiday, I have had this 'Cake Soiree' stamp set and matching 'Sweet Cake' Framelit dies for a while but I hadn't really used them.
I used one of the 'Petal Pair' Embossing folders (the floral one) to create a bit of background detail onto a piece of 'Blushing Bride' card, I added this to a mat of silver mirror card and popped a piece of Metallic Edged White satin ribbon around my card before mounting onto a Blushing Bride card base.
I then stamped my cake on to Whisper white card and coloured with Blushing Bride ink and then a variety of Stampin' Blends for the flowers and foliage. I cut the cake out with matching die set and then used silver mirror card to die cut the cake plate and stand and foliage. I also stamped some of the flowers from the set and die cut them too and arranged them to the side of the cake. I then took two more pieces of Silver edged ribbon to tie two bows, one for the cake stand and a larger one to finish the card.
I am quite pleased with how this card turned out.

I am so looking forward to getting into my Craft room, I need to tidy it first as I left it in rather a mess! But like all of you, after a long period of not crafting your fingers just itch to get busy and messy in my case!
We dropped Soph. Lucy and Lewis on Sunday, a little earlier than planned as we had to be off Campsite by 12 whereas we would normally stay until 3/4pm.
We went into a local town where they all did some last minute shopping while Paul and I enjoyed a delicious icecream on a shaded bench in the town square. We dropped them off at about 3.40 and then made our way back to France for our first overnight stop, I am so pleased we booked the little cabin again, as we loved it on the way down, it's such a lovely place for an overnight stop.
We arrived in good time and surprisingly it was still lovely and warm.
I will update you with the next instalment tomorrow.
Have a lovely day,
Love and Hugs

Its really windy and showery here but quite humid, really odd weather. I'm off to start a man's challenge card.
