Sunday Cuteness from Myra !

Good Sunday Morning Ladies,
Just look at this beautiful card from Myra, such a beautifully coloured image, it looks like 'Holly Hobby', but I can't be sure.  I also see that Myra has used the Californian Collection Decorative Frames and the Cornflower Die both from Creative Expressions designed by Sue Wilson.
Myra what is that beautiful corner that you have used, its so pretty?!
Thank you so much Myra for sending me this beautiful card to share, I don't know what I would have done without you ladies this past week, thank you all from the bottom of my heart!
Well ladies this is going to be my briefest post ever, as I was up till the wee small hours making sugar paste roses for Becca's cake, after a day of entertaining! I am exhausted!!! Up early today as we are off to the girls football tournament, please pray its dry!
I hope your Sunday is perfect,
Sorry for being so brief,
Love and hugs
Sandra

  4. Good morning Sandra and the Gang. Hope you are good and looking forward to the day ahead.
SANDRA:- for goodness sake look after yourself and wear warm clothes. If it's warm you can "strip off" watching football no matter who is playing is a cold carry on. Please don't be doing too much when you get back either. You have lots of help around "use it" HAPPY BIRTHDAY Becca.
MYRA:- your card is stunning, great image so beautifully coloured. Great colour combo and design.... Love it.
Slept in this morning, John nudged me a 3.15am said I was "snoring" I really wish he would not do that. Apart from anything ..... I don't hear it!!! The other thing is that's me awake!! I got up made a cuppa, sat and read. Felt myself nodding off, went to the spare bed slept till 7.30am .....that's a great bed, no one to nudge you in it......!!!!
(((((Hugs))))) in the basket by the door as usual.
Hazel has done everything ... Ooooo!!! she said I am a winner over at Sue's off over to have look.

Myra-your card is gorgeous, simply beautiful.

Sandra-enjoy the day but take it easy if possible.

    Patricia-you're a Sue Wilson winner!!! Yeah-well done.

Dull day here & very breezy. Got housework to do then I have a few cards to make which I've been putting off starting. Don't know why I do that but I'm usually on the last minute makibg cards when I have a deadline. Hubby gone off to hit some golfballs already, he's got a match to play on Wednesday so he said he needs the practice.

Morning one and all who pop in today
Sorry I've been AWOL these last couple of days - it's been manic to say the least. First Sandra please do as your friends say and wrap up warm and PLEASE PLEASE ask for help or take it when offered. Happy Birthday Becca enjoy the rest of the week-end and then PARIS!!!! what a wonderful city.
Have a good match girls and my fingers are crossed for good weather for you.

Myra your card is just beautiful and has put a smile on my face this morning which was much needed. So a big THANK YOU for that.

Right sorry about my absence the last couple of days. It's been a little manic to say the least. First Friday Physio - my apptment was cancelled at the last minute then they rang and said I could go to another centre to see another Physio (this I did and I could just have well stayed at home and done something useful - as she hadn't seen me before all she did was ask what her colleague had in mind for me..........) anyway then back home for more hwork only to be called by phone from the chemist where Jim had taken my prescriptions in on Wednesday just in case they didn't have enough meds etc. They only had one box of pain patches and needed to order more for me to be collected yesterday. (I needed 3 scripts because of going away)to say that I couldn't have the two outstanding boxes of patches as it was illegal to have more than 28days supply because they are controlled drugs and he had spoken to a Dr at my surgery who had told him that it was a printing error. Can you imagine my reaction to this bit of news. The Dr the chemist has spoken to was not my GP and so didn't know that I was going away. Ah well the upshot was could I ring the surgery and get a Dr to call the chemist to OK this script. This I did to find that the Dr in question had finished for the day and gone and the only one on site had had to go out to a home call. By this time I was in a state to say the least. Anyway after a word with the wonderful girl on reception all I had to do was wait for the chemist to ring me again when it was sorted. The problem was sorted by 20.00hrs when the chemist range to say he had spoken with a Dr and because the extra meds are needed for hols I could pick the patches up yesterday morning. I just collapsed exhausted and drained. Why the problem arose in the first place I don't know because I've had double scripts since I started on these patches and nothing has been said before. Talk about a Victorian melodrama..........
Anyway all sorted yesterday morning and collected but I was still drained and couldn't put my mind to anything.

Hoping for a quiet day today and no last minute panics. It will be late Tuesday before I see you all again so please don't wreck the place while I'm away with late night parties and Baileys Tankers etc. Fingers crossed for a smooth crossing tomorrow. See you all soon. Hugs in their usual place - extra ones are in the cupboard to refill the basket so can someone please let them out when needed. Congratulations Patricia and Jess as winners this week. It's lovely to see loyal names on the list.

    1. Oh!! Janet what a drama over something that has gone through no bother in the past. Don't you just hate all this stupid "safety" carry on when others seem to mange to get things they "don't" need!!!

My word what a load of drama, which is not what you need. Not to sure why all of a sudden having extra meds for holidays would be a problem. We had the same sort of problem with Pete, as he has to see the Dr at the hospital on a Tues, the hospital then ring Healthcare at Home yo deliver them on the Wed. How cutting it fine is that. You wonder where the hell do they get them from at such short notice. Plus I'll have to be thinking well in advance to make sure we have them before any other holidays. Anyway I hope you have a fabulous holiday. Take care.

    6. Hi Janet,
I'm glad you got the meds sorted out, but you'd think common sense would kick in when the position was explained. But no - elf and safety and jobsworth don't have any common sense. You'll have a lovely calm crossing, I can see it in my water lol. Have a relaxing and calm holiday after the hiatus about the meds.

    7. What a performance, sounds like jobs worth to me. How is your BP is alright after all that carry on?
Hope you have a calm crossing and a safe journey to your lovely holiday home. xx

    8. What a performance Janet. Glad it was sorted in the end but you don't need this upset when it is medication you need and you are going on holiday. The Dr who was spoken to should have investigated it not just say it was a mistake because that makes it even worse for you as the chemist will believe them. Have a goid break after all this and a calm crossing. Look forward to hearing all about it.

And wish the girls all the best with their game today, especially as proud grandparents will be watching. You take care of yourself too.
Myra, love your card. It is so clean and fresh looking and your image is beautifully coloured. The little "with love" sentiment is perfect, may I as what it is, it looks like a tiny die cut. Hope you have a lovely day with your visitors.
Janet, what a nightmare, my son in law has had similar problems with his insulin prescription and I know just how stressful that was so I sympathise with you.
Hope today is calmer, have a safe safe journey.

  21. Well I have had such a wonderful treat I switched on the tv to see what was on C & C and there was the wonderful Mel, showing that super doper new machine you have all been talking about! Today they are telling us the first batch of 'thousands' have SOLD OUT, but not to worry there is a new batch coming on 22 June for anyone that has missed it.
The wonderful Mel was telling everyone to take care as you can burn your fingers on the hot foiling plate, but she had acrylic nails on and was ok, so that is another requirement if you buy the machine, you need acrylic nails now as well! This machine just gets better and better and Dave who was with her was saying it was C & C who had designed the machine, such a superb company to do that for all of us, don't you think? Today Mel had colour coordinated her tee shirt/top with the machine what a star don't you think?
Saba do take care and have a wonderful time, hope the winds are kind to you too.
Well we still have no rain but boy is it cold up here, tee shirt yesterday, jumper today though.

Well Thomas helped him out of the Burn when he slipped. Wellies full of water, trousers soaked as well as one sleeve of his shirt. Made him strip off in the garden, re-dressed and booted and off again .... although he ended up having to wear my "purple" wellies. Thank goodness no one could see him. By the time they came back for something to eat they were BOTH mucky .... more washing!!! All washing done, dried and what needed ironed, done. I don't iron most of their "play clothes"
John Jnr came for Thomas who went off home as fresh as he had arrived, no washing and ironing for his mum to do!!!

Hope you all have an enjoyable day. Must finish off my Triple Flip card. It's for a Diamond Wedding Anniversary for one of the ladies at the Wednesday craft group. It's her anniversary on Thursday so I can give it to her on Wednesday night. Be back later.

  23. Good afternoon ladies, well we are just back from son and daughter in laws, oh I didn't get any forgiveness for the late happy birthday!!! She was away playing golf when we arrived, but came in with the face tripping her as they had lost, Lauren handed the box with her card init, she took it no thank you to Lauren, and no thank you to us for either the card or the cheque, but did say " am I meant to open this or what? Was told to open the tulle packet, she did so and Lauren said " oh that's pretty". So I got yes it's very pretty!!! But do wonder if Lauren hadnt said would she? As I said face tripping her as they had lost, she doesn't do lost!!! Still no house to their liking for them to buy, and of course all the summer clothes and things are in storage. They can't get it out as it would cost. I did point out that with this weather they won't need it?
Saba. Have a great holiday. Maria you will be on your way safe journey.
Karen, good to have you back
Sheila, I do hope you are ok.

    1. Know just how you feel Hazel. I will never understand my daughter in law either. In two ways actually. One she doesn't speak English and I don't think she has any intention of speaking to me not that I would understand her anyway. Don't let it get you down, but it does hurt doesn't it.

      Delete
    2. Brenda, thank you for your kind words, the thing is they do forget all what we do for them don't they? As students I would take them shopping, and the amount. Of times I have cleaned up their houses when they have been moving. I think things got worse when they had their girls and I was too tired at the weekends to have them for sleep overs. It made me laugh when they would say they were shattered as they had been working all week, I at that time worked up to 56 hours looking after Anna and Beth, in their eyes I wasn't working??? Yes Chris our son isn't in good health at times with him having had kidney transplants, but they forget my health problems too. I know I am not alone where our children and partners are concerned!!! But for yours not to speak English or even try to speak so she can talk to you is rude. I take it that's little Scarlett's mum??. Hazel xx

      Delete
    3. Yes Hazel. No I don't think they understand when we are tired. The thing is I don't know what she is saying when I am there. Could be all detrimental although I don't think Scarlett would like that and soon say something. The other Sunday we went out to a NT place and she was in the back of the car talking on her mobile all the way there and back and my son and I were trying to talk in the front but she is so loud and always interrupts us or on the phone so loud we cannot hear what one another is saying. Very rude I think. Rant over.

    4. HI Hazel,
I was going to ask how old is she, 10, because that's how old she is acting. Stick to your guns about her card next year. If she cannot understand, then she doesn't deserve one. AND I hope she never wins another golf match, so there!!!!
Littlelamb, Brenda. How rude of your DIL. I bet she can speak and understand English, she's just incredibly ignorant and I'd ignore her completely!!!
Right, who wants the soap box now?

    5. Hazel and Brenda it saddens me to read these posts, you do so much for your families you deserve to be spoilt, not treated like this. I'm very lucky, my son daughter in law and now grown up grandchildren all live round the corner from us, we see them all regularly, I think I see Carol my daughter in law more than my son Dave, he is a workaholic . We all go on holiday together too. Next weekend I'm going with Carol and granddaughters to Leeds for a hen weekend my grandson gets married in Greece in September. Take care both of you

Patricia I think we will have to compare notes when we get our prizes, I think it will probably be stamps, that should help to get your mojo back.
Sandra, hope the girls match went well and you wrapped up, don't want you catching a cold on top of your pains.

Dinner on cooker, so have to set table, will try and catch up later I know I said that yesterday but I was ready for sleep at about 9 last night, the same might happen again as I am quite tired from a busy day scrapbooking, we have the crop in our shop and have to put tables and chairs away, sweep the floor and put some displays back in place.
Anyway, take care whatever you are doing, Jess x

  28. Hello again ladies,
Just popped back before I go and put the final touches to dinner. Traditional Bavarian meal tonight, shoulder of pork with knödle, that is a dumpling made from raw potato, I have no idea what they do to it but you buy it ready made and form it into balls which you simmer very slowly for about twenty mins.
As to my holiday, sorry if I misled you, we are not going away until next weekend, so I have put all your good wishes in an envelope and will open it up again just before we leave!!
Pat, I envy Petes daughter sailing all the way to Turkey. No, we are not going on a trip with others, we have our own sailing boat and it is just the two of us sailing alone as usual. And yes, Croatia is a lovely place to visit.
Hugs for all, be back after dinner.

  32. Hellooooo! It's me! I'm sitting down having tidied up I've put the sitting room straight and the dining room! Kitchen still a work in progress as another load needs to go in the dishwasher! We had an interesting afternoon. We had invited another couple of close friends to join us for lunch today making six! Well half way through lunch my son and three of the children arrived! That made 10 of us!
Now everyone has gone and I'm a bit tired! Alastair is making coffee.
I did get a surprise a few minutes ago when I looked on the blog and there was my card!
The focal point isn't actually a stamp but it is a little pad of images by Elisabeth Bell which I bought from Hobby Craft. Some of the girls used them to make their calendars at Christmas time. They loved colouring them. The boys had stamped images of football boots and ball!
The corner die and the with love die are two dies I got free with my Teal Grand Calibur. Both are by Tattered Lace and are the only ones from that company that I own. The With Love is quite flimsy.
I gave Annabelle her Spellbinders Sapphire today! She was thrilled to bits with it. I thought it was a nice present for after the GCSE exams. We are going on a shopping trip either this week or next! Should be fun!
Sandra - hope Becca has had a lovely Birthday! Hope you haven't done too much. Thank you for showing my card.
I will go and read what everyone has been up to. It could take some time!!!

I bought one of these little Die Cutting Machines for Robert. I have not given it to him yet. Recently he whizzes in here and whizzes out again. All this football milarky totally dominates his life. If things don't settle down, I might just keep it for a "rainy day" gift for him during the summer break.

Evening all just having a bit of a relax now, dropped Nic off on our way home from Wales, she loves riding in the car ( would ride the wheels off ) but had a meltdown when we were out, thought it was going to be a stress free day as it started off very good, she calmed down when we had tea, and was great in the car, also happy when we dropped her off.
