Male Card Monday #2

A Tuxedo style card by Me!
A Jacket style card by Janet!

A Guitar Card by Cheryl!
A Travel card by Sam!

Good Monday Morning Ladies,
Here are another selection of Male themed cards to give you a little inspiration for those more difficult to create cards!
There is a great variety here to get you inspired just in time for Father's Day, whether you got for the more Formal style of the first two cards or the informal style of the last two, something for most tastes I think.
I look forward to seeing any Male cards that you make, we can then share them and spread the inspiration!
I am hoping to get to the doctor this morning to sort this pain out, its really getting me down now,
I wake up thinking I am feeling better and then after lunch the pain slowly starts creeping in, I am convinced its to do with my Sinuses now though, because if it was a tooth thing it would hurt 24/7
but this past couple of days the morning has been fine!
Somebody said that it could be Neuralgia, I haven't heard of that before, so I will 'google' it and see what the symptoms are!
I will call in later to see what you are all up to,
Love and hugs
Sandra

  1. Good morning Sandra and the cafe group. This is a great array of men's cards for sure, they are so difficult to make, ideas seem to just fly out of the window. I much prefer to make feminine cards, nice and pretty. Sandra I hope you get to the bottom of what's causing the pain. I had neuralgia years ago in a nerve at the side of my face and boy it was painful, you can get it anywhere, my dad used to get it in his shoulder. So hope you find out the cause.
We had a busy day yesterday clearing out the garage, cleaned the bbq ready for 'summer' then went for a meal with friends, thought I would sleep for England but have been up early but the sun is pouring through all the windows so no excuse to stay in bed, the dogs won't let us either.
Hope everyone has a lovely day whatever you intend to do, will try to pop in later,
Left hugs in the basket by the door and all is tidy as I leave ,

  2. Good morning Sandra and the coffee shop gang.
Sandra, please go see about that pain today. I agree don't think it's your teeth but it has to be dealt with.
Wow! Maria & Brenda what a Super job you made of cleaning and setting up last night. Did you manage to get PAT:- to bed ...... think she had too much of the free wine.......LOL!!!
I have been doing yesterday's ironing. I knew if I sat down for a cuppa I would loose track of time.
SANDRA :- and the GIRLS:- cracking Man Cards some brilliant ideas there, each one different but all fantastic.
Big House Clean here today ...... typical the sun is up and out this morning. I will be stuck in doing "housework" I will get the fresh air when I hang out the bedding. Better go waken "sleeping beauty" AKA ... John ... if I want to get that in the machine.
Other than than the house nothing planned for today so far. I really must try getting my head round some crafting. Even making some flowers would be progress.
Right! cup & plate washed, money in the pot. (((((Hugs))))) by the door as usual.

  4. Good mornings to everyone,

Lovely cards for today for those 'pesky men' of ours.

Pete had similar pain down one side of his face, he was diagnosed with arthritis in his neck. Once the bones had fused together the pain stopped.
I'm not saying that's what you have Sandra, so DO NOT PANIC, it could be a myriad of things or something quite simple or as you say, sinusitis. Now that is a little b****r, suffered from it myself in the past. Whatever, get yourself an emergency appointment with your doctor today, flower.
I'm off on a day trip to Watchet harbour and Hinchcombe House with 2 WI friends who have very kindly invited me to join them, so it's off for a shower and I'll pop in later.

  5. Hi Sandra and all the lovely coffee shop ladies.
Wow what a great collection of men cards today, love the tuxedo and jacket ones (do love a man in a tux!) , Cheryl your guitar one is great for a teenager and Sam your travel one is fab too. Thank you all for sharing. I was just thinking yesterday I don't do men's cards then it's just come to me I have a pile of cards that I make at my stampin up card club! It's more of a social thing and some of the cards aren't really my taste but it's good to try different things and to have a stash of emergency cards! I must have a photograph session!
Well it's biology exam today, Emma was having a bit of a wobble last night, this one is the really important one for aberdeen so there's a lot of pressure. I think I will be driving her to college again today and I'm going to see if my auntie is in so I can have a natter with her whilst I wait. The sun is out today and the sky is blue so there's more washing I need to do! ( I'm a poet and I didn't know it!)
Sandra get down to the doctors today, this does need to be sorted out. By the time I'd finished the antibiotics for my tooth the pain had reduced considerably so I don't think it's tooth.
Right must get a wriggle on - see you all later.
    Have a fun day

    10. Thank you everyone for your good wishes for Emma, I passed them on and she thought you were all so sweet to think of her. Today's paper was human biology which is the one she needs an A in. She wasn't terribly confident when she came out as the questions were a bit strange and could have had different answers. We've talked them through and it's all in the lap of the gods now! Onto the next one, chemistry on Wednesday . Xxx

I've had a lovely lazy morning, with a leisurely breakfast with himself still in bed. He's now up and ready and we are walking into town (when I'm dressed and my hair is dried!) Got to go to the bank to pay some bills and will get the bus back. I'm in school this afternoon - fun and games no doubt!!! Keep getting updates from Italy and they are going into Florence on a double-decker train!! I've never been on one of those. It was 30 degrees at 8 a.m.

Sandra, I am so sorry to hear that you are still in so much pain. Hopefully by the time you see this you will have made your doc's appointment for today my lovely. If it is your sinus's then try not to lay down in bed but prop yourself up with pillows when you sleep as this will help a little (been there a few years ago so passing on what the surgeon told me as I want you to avoid it getting any worse. Push for a long course of really strong antibiotics to knock it right on the head at the doctors. Will be thinking of you my lovely.

Morning/Afternoon everyone - latte definitely needed this morning. Mr Tesco should have delivered by 10.00 but he had to telephone to say sorry he was running late so he ho just a little behind now.
Sandra - hope you have that apptmnt at the Docs and that he can help. You have been in pain long enough now that it just cannot be a tooth.
Thank you ladies for your ideas they have all gone into my 'inspiration' file.

I don't suppose many of you are cycling fans but if you are did you see the fantastic superman Sir Bradley Wiggins smash the 'Hour Record' last evening. For those who aren't he had to ride as far as he could in 1hr. He really smashed the last record and cycled 54.526kms in 1hr. The event took place in the Olympic Velodrome London. The skill and stamina needed is immense. We really do have some fantastic athletes in this country don't we.

OK off now to partake of my fruit and yog lunch and then decide what to do with this afternoon.
Hugs are in the basket as usual and thank you for the latte. All washed up and put away. See you soon.

  17. Like all the male cards today. A lot of ideas there. Thank you Sandra, Sam, Janet and Cheryl. Sam good to see you back. Sandra. Hope you managed to get an appointment at the Dr's today. I have blood test tomorrow for the iron. Bit worried as had been taking the calcium at the same time as the iron. Phamasist hadn't put anything on the box only realised when I read the notes properly. You would think that the pharmacist would have some warning message on their computers to say not to take certain drugs together. Iron was up last time so hope it hasn't gone down again. Bit chilly here and no sun. Wind not too bad. Hoping to get some gardening done after lunch. To all who are not feeling so good today hope you soon feel better. Hugs by the door. Will just make a coffee. Money in pot. Will sit by the window and see if I can see Norah.

  18. Washing dried, in and all ironed.
Thought I would make a card. It was rather simple, 5 simple layers of cream & pink with a little bit of lace. Cut out a nice fancy oval for the "Happy Birthday" . I just needed to add that and maybe a dazzler ..... then disaster!! I had brought over a cuppa was putting the cup down and it slipped spilling the tea all over the card ..... Ahhhh!!! MAUREEN;:- you came flashing into my mind!! What a bummer!! The only thing I managed to rescue was the piece of lace. I dipped it all in the tea, now it's drying. Dare not mention this to John. I bought 18 of these white mugs in IKEA . John hates them, he says they are "unbalanced" ..... a bit like himself really!!! I kept telling him it was rubbish but in actual fact he's right. The base of the mugs is narrower than the top. If you touch them they tip over very easily. That's John making me another cuppa, wonder which kind of mug he will bring me?? xxx

Beginning to get through the jungle. It was neglected for so long when I was 24/7 caring that it's a big job now. Got Margaret's heat bags now. They are marvellous. Hugs to all, especially Sandra and Sue. Hope I haven't missed anyone. Sorry if I have.

  33. Hello ladies,
Sorry I haven't had chance to comment all day,
What a lovely collection of man cards. Two jackets, a guitar and a travel card. Brilliant ideas one and all. Janet, I particularly like Sues sentiment die used vertically, what a clever idea.
Hope all "our" grandchildren and children are coping with their exams, such a stressful time for them. I bet you will all be relieved when the exams are all finished. I really feel for the children of today, such high expectations to live up to.
Cheryl, hope you had a lovely day out.
Sue, welcome home, what a fabulous holiday, I am not jealous, well perhaps a little. Well actually if I am totally honest, I am green with envy!!!
Pat, hope you have recovered from the free wine last evening. I remember well my first experience of Limacello, actually I don't remember a thing after the third glass. It's delicious but lethal. So glad you are having a lovely holiday.
And Hazel, hope you have a good last evening, wishing you a safe journey home tomorrow, at least I think it is tomorrow you come home.
Patricia, well done for starting to make a card, sorry it ended in spilled tea, hope the lace survived at least.
Sue, hope your joints are easing up a bit today.
Brenda, good luck with the blood tests tomorrow, it's a nightmare knowing which tablets can be taken with which and when.
Lynda, good luck with the eye tests tomorrow,
Maureen, give David a cyber hug from me.
Sandra, love, hope all goes well at the hospital and they get you on the right treatment. Well done for going to the doctors. Love hugs and healing thoughts are on their way to you.
    Hope I haven't missed anyone.

Well, I've got upstairs done so I'm very pleased. I was going to do the staircase but my vacuum cleaner isn't as TURBOT charged as Patricia's it's more like a load of CODswallop, so I'll leave it until tomorrow morning!!
Update on Eleanor in Italy - red hot, having a great time, lovely food and smashing hotel, thunderstorms predicted!!!
Sandra, I hope all goes well for you and don't worry at all about us, we'll just be our usual quiet selves and cause no mayhem at all. I do hope they get you sorted out and that you will soon be free from pain. xxx
St George has arrived, so I'm going down to heat two of Margaret's bags and tell George NOT to switch on the alarm clock as we don't have to get up.
