Poinsettia Easel

Good Saturday Morning Friends,
Today's card is another traditional card but made into an easel card,
I die cut Spellbinders Layered Poinsettias three times in red and one in
Green and layered them up adding a gemstone to the centre.
I mounted it onto a  Spellbinders Fleur de Lis square,
Adding some foliage underneath using Impression Obsession fern dies,
I added a little red ribbon bow to finish it off.
I matted red card and some white card embossed with Holly Swirls Folder,
Onto a 6x6 easel card, added the large poinsettia on the top and a small
Poinsettia with foliage and the decorative strip from Spellbinders Frosty Forms to either
Side to act as a stopper for the top of the easel card.
I hope you like this card, please leave me your comment as I love reading them every day.
Steph I am going to make a conscious effort to do some Craft Fairs and would love to hear
any advice that you can give me.
Lynda, thank you so much for the loveliest card I have received this Christmas,
I have put it in pride of place in the middle of the mantle piece!
Tandy, I hope you covered from your day in hospital, sending you healing hugs xx
We are off to get our Christmas tree today!
Crafty hugs,
Sandra xxxxx

  1. Hi Sandra. Stunning card, love the way you use foliage. Have been checking your blog daily and will try to make the effort to comment more often as your cards are beautiful. I agree with the comments that have been made re people only commenting on Sue's blog when there is a prize on offer, but would hate to upset her by saying so on her blog - so I hope you don't mind me saying so here. Have a lovely weekend, enjoy decorating your tree. Sue xxx

  2. Hi Sandra. A beautiful card again. Much as I love all colours for Christmas red, white and green are my favourites. Have fun putting up the tree. Which did you decide on in the end, real or artificial this year? The kittens will have a great time with either won't they! Take care. xx

  3. Good morning Sandra, another stunningly gorgeous card, very festive too. Love your foliage and Poinsetia you make them so real looking. Like everyone else I to feel it's so unfair that folk only comment on Sues blog when she is giving away something, to me if they can comment then why not even comment a couple of times a week, I know I am so busy, I dare not pick up my iPad as I would get nothing done, but I do try and comment every day. Working less hours now does help. Take care. Hazel x

  4. Morning Sandra and all that follow me.
Sue, it grates on us all with the 'users' that only appear on giveaway days or launches. I find it so hard to keep my big gob shut when that happens. Unfortunatly all we are saying on Sue's lovely blog doesn't seem to be sinking in and there are still under 200 visiting daily, what do you say to prick at people's guilt and get them to comment ? Cuz it beats me ! I really loath to see Sue's generosity taken for granted.
Now to this fab card... Sandra, its gorgous, I know Ive said it many times but I love your work and Im so pleased you are seriously considering doing a market/fair, yes, its hard work, it can be stressful hoping you have enough of the right mix of cards, and maybe for the first couple of fairs you do you wont cover the price of the table, yes it can be disheartening, but there is a but... At some point you will make enough to cover the cost of the table, then you will make a bit of profit, then orders come in (so make some nice cards with your contact) and put them out... Im happy to help when you've found the right one to do, but also your friends will give you valuable advice, but just ask if you need to.
Enjoy tree hunting, I really miss out this time of year, and it hurts that I cant do the festive things Id love to do with Andy, I feel so sorry for him too as he misses out now too, especially now that our only daughter has her new husband to do the lovely festive things with.
So have a lovely day, and im so pleased you decided to blog every day, as I said on Sue's blog yesterday, your cards are stunning.
    Sending hugs to all.

  5. Hi Sandra,
Beautiful, beautiful card! All your cards are lovely! I have popped by today as had a really busy week and not had much spare time! I hardly ever make easel cards but they look so pretty. This one is stunning and I love your poinsettia stopper!
Hope you choose a tree you are really happy with and have fun dressing it!
I have battery operated lights on my door wreath - they were still merrily twinkling away this morning - brain of Britain here - forgot to them on timer rather than constant! Must have cheered the milkman up! Lol!
Won't leave a comment on each card but they are all beautiful - I will try much harder next week! Promise.
    Lots of love,
    Myra x
